Nice one! everything sounds right in its place.
How do you make this heart beat kick?
i'll keep checking what you do.

thanks yofdm. i took the whole drum loop and put tk darkmass to beef up the sound and a compressor with a long attack time and short release. other times it could be the that and how stutter edit slows down the audio slightly. thanks for the listen and the comments.

It seems over the last week I am making more new connections than I have in the past here at Looperman. I am sure I would have eventually "discovered" your work, but luckily since you stopped by my page, that "some point" is now.

I have listened to your entire Loooperman library. Your artistry is extremely impressive including your very clever song titles and creative back stories. It is very rare that after listening to one or two tracks on someone's page that I am intrigued enough to want to listen to the entire lot. It was more like taking an exciting journey than it was listening to a collection of tracks. I have faved some that REALLY spoke to me including "Anything You Want" for which I am itching to create some vocals.

Thanks for sharing your work.

Love & Light,

Mykael

dude thank you so much for those kinds words. i got your track list bookmarked for this weekend. i think listening to new music is done best in the early hours when the sky starts to get bright on saturday or sunday (or is it late at night at that point?). thanks again for the comment, and thanks for listening, much appreciated.

Not bad, gets a bit repetitive after a bit but still cool check out my new beat

thanks for the listen wis. it sounds repetitive because i made it vocal friendly, space for a hook. i try not to confine myself in that way. normally i build with the intent on hearin a super lyrical 24+bar verse with no hook, and i chop up tracks i export from maschine into ableton, yada yada yada and try to keep it as a free swim. thanks again for the listen and the comments dude.

Whoa! That description annnnnnnnnd listening to this at the same time...yikes.

Maybe it sounds like a panic attack, or a seizure, or a record skipping, baffled, confused, unsure...

So, very accurate description. Clever and creative muzical composition.

I'd be interested in hearing some vocals on this :-)
StereoMathematics
StereoMathematics replied 20th Mar 2013 - 12 years ago
thank you very much ms. edwards! the concept of the stand alone complex is actually from the anime ghost in the shell, which is one of my favorites. the show and movies are all very heavy on psychology and philosophy. i too would like to hear some vocals on this. thanks again for the listen and the comments, much appreciated.

It sounds confusing but i get where you coming from with the ideas being in the minds of the people so maybe thts why it sounds confusing lol
StereoMathematics
StereoMathematics replied 20th Mar 2013 - 12 years ago
its the timing. stutter edit and the fact the sample is playing backwards makes things worse. but the bass is on the one, it is your guide. thanks for the comments and the listen dude.

Holy shit is literally what I said to myself when this started to get chopped up. Very nice idea, and great production skill. It would be sweet to hear that main melody, transition into the rest of the melody from that song. So, the sample you use would be on the words "come with me" and if you were to bring in the "in a world of your imagination" bit, it might do a lot more damage. Just to brighten up the arrangement by a smidge. Either way, this was inspiring.
Peace
StereoMathematics
StereoMathematics replied 18th Mar 2013 - 12 years ago
lol i said the exact same thing when i had this all arranged in maschine. i got a different version on my soundcloud [stereomaths/anything-you-want]that has the vocal chops on it. i took the 'if you want to view paradise...' verse and chopped it up to say 'do you want to change the world and do anything you want' and different variations of that on it. thanks for the listen and the comments bk.

Reading the info alone, was enough to listen to the song, but what I'm listening to is painting that visual even more so. I can see like, space highways, and weird stop-lights, with alien space crafts and every thing lol Very cool beat, MF DOOM would do it some justice, would be sweet right?
Peace

Just logged in to check your ish out...how's it been? But digging this one here man, definitely feel like i'm space traveling or something. Dope. Keep doing the music thing, might be a while before you hear from me again on this site. The loop isn't what it used to be, only with the exception of a few. Like you, some people cool and genuine. Been really irritated of the fake overpopulating music (Or the painfully obvious unoriginal gimmicks.) in general, so that's why i need a vacation of sorts. But yea, peace out homie. keep doing your thing.
