A very good argument on the necessity of guitars and loud music; their place in nature. I dig yr philosophy.

Aahhh...I thought I sensed a disturbance in the force.lol..Rei is back!!!..far out man!....Great rocking tune dude!..man your absence has made you music heavier...this is verging on metal, but has the unmistakeable Rei slickness and panache...you've made my day (night here in Oz actually)..there's a lot of Loopers that have missed your spectacular playing and arrangements..very cool to see you back man...cheers Dave :)

hi Dave!!
thx a lot for taking the time ... well, I'm not sure if I sound heavier now, maybe it's because I used a Danelectro baritone guitar for the main riff, the lower frequencies of this instrument gives the sound more power (like a drop-d tuning, but you know that!) ... the EP I'm working on will be a funk album though, it's almost finished, some negotiations with a few labels are on the way, so I don't have a release date atm ... we'll see ... oh, just remembered, you know one of the songs (the way you move) from mixposure ...
thx again for listening ... and may the force be with you ... ;-)

peace, rei

I just checked out your video for this track and immediately came here to see if I could download it. Mission: success!

Can't believe I missed this the first time around but I'm glad you gave me a second chance. More than any technical kudos I could give you, I just love the groove of this track and how it makes me feel. Cheers.

Oh wow. Not exactly what I expected after hearing your metal power-loops, but at least I was right in assuming it'd be good! Just excellent, don't know what else to say, but I hope you put up some more tracks soon.

Listening to this track I wish I had some kind of customised sports car to play this one in it LOUD and go cruisin' round my neibourhood, unfortunately I only got a lowly estate car but this track is quality !! Excellent production, playing and composition. Seeing as there is no download yet when can and where can we buy??

Hi there Rei,

Yep....it's nice to have you back and to see what you've been working on. I love everything about this new tune. You keep outdoing yourself.

Nice guitar lead parts. The drums...well, what can I say, I use the same as they are recorded live drums. I just got a new CD from them today. All country stuff....brushes, etc.
Hard to find anything in 2/4 time.

Well, anyways, nice to hear one of your new tunes. Guess its back to the 'drawing board' for me then. Keep 'em coming!
Bye,
Randy

I can't count the number of times I've listened to this track since first hearing MrE's mix. I mean... damn man, this song is perfect. I just wanted to stop by and say thanks for not only posting it but for allowing us to download. It's in a few of my playlists.

On a slightly different note... there's an electronica jam band called Sound Tribe Sector my brother got me started on with a similar guitar chillout sound. If you haven't heard of them, they're worth giving a listen.

You're getting the most of that guitar. Great sustain, silky distortion, and just the right delay to blend in with the rhythm track. I know a lot of that tone comes not from your settings but from your fingers. I'm hearing a Gilmour and a Santana influence. Very good musicianship.

The only negative thing I heard was that the drum transients seemed to pin the meters at times.

Awesome track. :)

Hi Rei,

Nice track here. Your guitar playng is very good. I like the song and find nothing wrong with it. I think I told you before I use betamonkey drums as well. They are right on.

I don't do any jazz myself, So my hats off to you.
Bye for now, and keep up the great playing.

I really love grooving along to this song. I'm finding so many amazing songs on this site but this one really stands out for me, even though I haven't traditionally listened to this style of music. Loving it, keep up the stupendous work!

Oh ya, great guitar playing as well, groovy smooth a$$ funkiness. Instant DL
