Yeah I played around a bit with the instrumentation and BPM. I first recorded a version that was a bit faster with more guitar, then went to the piano to practice playing it live (solo) and decided it needed a slower build-up... and as I recorded that I felt it needed power chords again ;)
I'm happy with the way it sounds now although I'm going to redo some of the vocals.

Thank you man! I spent a lot of time fussing over the album and some stuff in my personal life (no worries, mostly housing stuff)... and I feel now my creativity is coming back. I have some more new tracks I'm working on so there should be more soon!

I'm still not fully happy, but I was able to save more than I thought originally, so that's good :)

I try not to think about the creative process, but give me a guitar or a piano or a drumset and I'll create something. I just have to.

Mixing... I can really only hear the music, and I need really focus on the mixing process to clean things up, because I know that to most (sane) people, all the little things that might not matter to me, distract from my music to other people.

It's really important, it's also often a chore to me, but I know it's important in order to get heard, just like writing in proper sentences helps to get your ideas across. You can't just claim well all the words are there.

You realise that "my sound" to some extent is due to the limitations I have as an artist... But it's good for me to realise that's becoming a strength.

You know, I've played a couple open mic nights recently and people reacted positively to what I was playing. You and the lovely people at Looperman have helped me so much developing that sound and getting that confidence to go out there and play... It's amazing :)

Yeah sometimes it feels easy and there's also days when it's a bloody struggle - but that can still give some interesting results, so I refuse to give up. My track "would you rather" took 2 weeks to gel and I'm still bloody proud of it :)
