Nice work bro really like this. Great dance number if only mine could sound so polished.Keep it up bro! Really captures the sound of the eighties/nineties eras!
I'm lovin this track! I like how the sounds are kind of all over the place! Definitely makes me think of the beach and summertime in general. This truly is deep! Nicely done!
sorry to have to say this, the tune is very sexy but you have HUGE problem with that 3 minute intro, its incredibly boring and trust me when i say this, if you try playing it in a club people will hate you, i used to work at ministry of sound and Hedkandi i know how people react to tunes that doesnt have enough bass and tunes that keep on looping for no apparent reasonn, my advice would be to just cut it down to around one minute make it more interesting, after 3 minutes the flow is very nice, even though it keeps looping its just not boring at all, best of luck with the label and yes you need to work on perfecting every part of your tracks if want to make it big.
Agreed. I made it long for any dj to be able to mix it in at any point within a mix. Not really a hedkandi style song but I get your point. I would rather someone mix it in at min 2 or let the previous track ride on before the build up. Thanks for your reviews. I enjoy an honest tongue thrashing!
You've done well building up a good energy with this track. I like the percussion a lot, and the synths are quality. Great arrangement too. Nice work, hope the release goes well!
to be honest i would never listen to the song again.... u know what i mean nothing special.... just maybe pro but not good enough for a record label release if they do release it u wont do that good you should stick to a song and make it perfect and ask people is it good and would they listen to it again... you know i herd songs from you before on this site they werent bad at all ether your good keep trieng and you will make it
Hi
Enjoyed the track nice builds, excellent transitions, at parts I thought it had quite a deep house sorta vibe there is nothing I could critise about this track.
Nice one mate.
I wish you loads of success with your release:)

Im new to this site and this is my first comment...I peeped the acapella sample you that used (original)...and what you have done here is spectacular. I dont listen to this style of music in general...BUT!!! this track I played over and over for about 2hrs cleaned my house got twisted and all...the kids are dancing and everything...im into production myself Rap/RnB...so just from that standpoint I can tell that you put alot into this...overall its very crisp and clean and I love your style. Keep it up.
Play 2 now...
As for yer avatar, it reminds me of the one the DexDee use to have.
Now for the track, it's nice to see another artist who isn't afraid to push out their tracks, length-wise. Especially considering that it's a House tune. So that's pretty impressive. Most people seem to cut theirs off @ somewhere between 3 to 5 mins.
When the vocals initially started I though you had sampled Madonna coz the way it sounded on the first line or two. And the one ya paired it with reminds me of neo-soul stuff. Which I think helped to round 'em out evenly. The muffled male voice was kinda odd, but in a way it captures that bein high thing.
As for the melody there were parts of it that reminded me of another famous song I heard (though I'm currently blanking on it's name). And the one perc sound ya used with the drums that sounds kinda like a messed up sonar was pretty cool. All in all this is pretty nicely done and I really can't think of any suggestions to make it any better. Cheers!
Thanks for the review Donnie V.
As for the track, I always keep in mind that dj's are spinning these tracks. Often times, when I dj, I enjoy spinning longer tracks: (gives me time to peruse through my library and pick out an appropriate song)
As for the muffled male voice, it's actually the original vocals, drastically repitched. To me this represents ( The Greek God Apollo reaffirming that he's the "only one" in the Phoenix's eyes.) I guess with time, you discover your style and slowly after years of messing with stuff, my sound is coming to life. I'm not a tech head, or a show off kinda artist ( The look what I can do with a midi controller type) etc. I simply wish to keep tracks interesting. This might be a consequence of being an acoustic bass player. We tend to focus on repetition while emphasizing the form/structure of a song.
You put together a track this dense & cool AND you play bass? Jeez! Ok… I’ll line out a few reasons why I like this track. The electronic noises throughout are tasty. Thomas Dolby-ish but better… more modern. You have so much going on in this track, yet it all fits. It starts out sparse but engaging. Some folks put in samples & little ideas and 40 seconds into it, it will be too much. Not the case with this track.
I would actually change a small part with the vocal/acapella. I’d put more of an accent on the words “sleepâ€Â, “wondering†and “why†by making sure each word fell on a strong down beat. I’d put a pause before and after each word to REALLY put emphasis on them.
Thanks for sharing your music!
The quality is excellent
I can tell you put a lot of effort in
this track. I like how you reversed some portions of the
lyrics, the melody is great, and this is an excellent house track

In generally nice track
on What Are You So Afraid Of? by Dieselj
:)
the kick is unusually
low in the beginning
but i like when it
gets louder along
with the melody
The melody could easily
be transferred to trance
without a problem
I like this track completely
Good stuff
:)
