This is nicely done...i also tried a track with this acapella. I like this one better however..its got an epic feeling. The flute was a nice choice/loop!
Thanks AD9, appreciate it ... I think I heard your version as well a little while ago, Im gonna have to check that out again cause Im sure its just as good cause Sireone can spit sumthin fierce.
Gr8 atmosphere here! It's a strangely appealing piece of music.Don't know where to place it,but I don't really care, some things don't fit into a genre, and that's because they are unique.it's so cool to hear something that could have only been inspired by the heart!
Thanks lofthouse, greatly appreciate it. So yeah, TONS of inspiration on this track, I cant actually go into detail but it would end up being a book lets put it that way and yeah, I agree about the atmosphere in this track, I love it.
tell you what....if underground hiphop is underground hiphop.then this is underground hiphop!i love the drums...i love the strings...i love the ...everything.ill track son. if this doesn't make the top 5 comp track for hiphop then nothing should. you gave me some stiff competition for the hiphop genre!!! ill shit! hope i can step too this. peace, dopro
Wow dopro, thanks for the proper review, for real. Im glad you digged everything and to feel that its in the top 5 in the hip hop genre, those are some big shoes to fill right there, thanks for the love bro. Dont take this the wrong way man but if you feel like I gave you some stiff competition, then take that and make some fire. Get motivated and rock some s**t out, you can do it, I know it. Just do your thing.
Thanks BIZARO, appreciate it . Ha so you liked the strings ? I thought the weirdness of them was appropriate, you know, I just had to give it that s acary approach but keep it on point at the same time.
Thanks alividlife, appreciate the review. I tried my best with this, left my comfort zone and took my influences into this genres and put them to the test and this was the final product. I love it ! Listen to it more than once, trust me.
You had me at the first note. I love songs that aren't cookie cutter and are different from anything I've ever heard befor. Congrats on stepping out of your comfort zone. If this is the result I say you should do it more often.
Thanks peppermint, appreciate it. Well, you know what, this track right here just broke me out of that comfort zone. This s**t was so much fun and to hear the final product when I was done, I was like 'Wow, I f-ing did this, no s**t.' Thanks for listening.
JDoT2k6, liquid cool, dude. Very relaxing track. The flow is great but I think it ends a bit suddenly for such a mellow piece. I like music that transports you and this is a good one to travel with. I can't wait to hear the next one. moke
Thanks Mokeone for the review, appreciate it. I was beginning to think that this track was gonna be forgotten as it was one of my first tracks and expecially in this genre but I feel I did it justice.
Scratch are thight. i'm not sur if i've listen well to it but i think i've heard a pad in the beginning? that was weird but well all on this is nice as i think all those random thing and experimentations have open doors to you for futur act (idea, inspiration etc...) i love it. as Spivkurl said, the brokenchord piano strangely fit to the track like crazy. the feeling i got from this was well... it's wasn't that chill out to me but i think it's great to see that the feeling coming out of your work can be different from a person to another. i'm confused between happiness (scratch, catchy lead) and scariness (various drum var. or all those weird ghost effect heard in background + brokenchord and other effects) i think it was a lil' bit your objective (give an emotional confusion to the the listener) when you pull out this track.
Wow man, I dont know what to say in reply other than thanks for the proper review, for real and if it makes any difference, out of all my tracks, this one the most fun to compose.
Thanks for the review man ... Randomness is exactly what I attempted with this chillout track asnd I absolutely loved the pianos in it so yeah, I have a few more of these up my sleeve so wait for those to drop.
u are right, from the confusion, lol no offence though. it is like u were just puting in what came into ur mind as u chill out urself. place it in wierd. no offence please :D
Thanks for the review, appreciate it. By the way, no offense taken at all man - I take it all as a compliment. This track happened on purpose, it was supposed to be a little confusing but organized neatly and I feel I accomplished that.
Love the peacfull ambient rhythms that lead the track till the beat drops. Great beat selection,Kinda slow step jazz. U can tell that something was going on in ur life when u put this 2gether.I hope im not degrading your track but, I actually watch a lot of CSI and "The Mentalist"rocks. This cutt reminds me of an emotional scene where they would have used a song like this.Honestly it sounds just great on my "Rokit" KRK 5's....
Wow, thanks dude, really really appreciate it and you know what, I never looked at it that way but I definitely agree with you. The Mentalist is phenominal and yes, I was going through something in my life but Im sure you know what that may have been seeing what we have spoken about through email. By the way, your not degrading my track at all, you've actually given me a proper review. Thanks again Beanut, your the f-ing man !
I love the atmosphere of this track, man. Your scratching skills are off the cubbyhole, dude. This track just feels like...empowerment and that good vibe you get from summer.
There is a part of me that wants to rap on this. While most rappers (here) are intimidated by it, I've always been intrigued by rapping on unconventional beats. Of course, I'm a true emcee's emcee. LOL.
In the future, please don't be shy or hesitant about posting future "lefty" experimentations. They work.
Thanks Monsieur, as always. I can agree with you on all aspects of this track and you have now given me more confidence in posting some more 'unconventional' beat tracks and your right, it most certainly influences my hip hop creations. So yeah, you wanna rap over this ? Hells yeah, if you really wanna, I'll hook you up with this beat or some others I have for a collab cause Im always down for those. Hit me up.
Thanks for the review djredrum, really appreciate it. I absolutely love this track ... tons of fun to make and even more fun to listen to cause Nepauls vocals are so silly but off the chain. Nepaul and I are doing a collab at the moment so wait for that s**t to drop ... It'll be an epic arrival of giant proportions.
JDOT, the music is incredible, and I like the pella (considering trying to do something with it myself) but it feels like you tried to force this one. BK1 is right - the vocals are off beat from the music. Could be the pella is off beat itself, I haven't listened to it really carefully yet.
Take the instrumental and use it for something more worthy!
Thanks for the review, appreciate it. This track wasn't one of my better ones, ya know, with using acapellas provided from this site. I just couldn't find the right vocals to fit so maybe I should of just posted the beat instead or made a completely different track which Im gonna do but with different vocs.
I like the intro in this tune. Nice piano delay sets the mood. I find the tune as a relaxing mood type. I liked it as it was a lot different than I listen to usually. I see a lot of people have listened to this tune, but few reviews. On the other hand, 6 downloads also means others liked it as well.
Thanks for the review man, appreciate it ... I feel this tract suits the genre well. And on a different note man, you should have waaaaay more reviews of that metal track Heavy Metal Highway regardless, I just dont get it but I understand that they all cant be zingers as Les Claypool would say.
I really like the piano sample and the distortion definitely adds that sampled off vinyl feel (cheater! LOL). This beat really has a Mobb Deep, circa Hell On Earth feel to it. That synth sweep in the hook is a good addition to break the beat up and avoid the repetiton.
As always Monsieur, thanks for the positive review. I just had to post this with the added distortion, I just had too. So yeah, I made a track using this beat but it was in its original form, no distortion, its called Live Transmission - Reality Check', I used Sirones acapella for the vocs, check it out. Thanks again.
Thanks for the review, appreciate it ... I know it wasn't perfect thats whay I was thinking about reworking a whole new sound for the acapella but you live and learn - still I think its worthy of the vocals to say the least. J DOT ~ 2006
DAAAAAAAAM, this is sweet. nice track my dude. id spit on it in a minute. i cant find anything to critique about this 1. great job. gotta fav this joint
Wow, thanks for the review, appreciate it - Im quite glad that its impressive to many people and to get the feedback just makes me stronger as an artist - thanks for the positive notes and the fav. J DOT ~ 2006
I like the music. I did not dig the rap. Did you listen to it. It is off. I would like it better if it had been an instrumental. I have some songs like that take a listen.
Thanks for the review and yes, I did listen to it, obviously, but thats besides the point. Its a hit or miss track, some people will dig it and some wont, makes no difference to me and it was an instrumental first but I feel ya. Im currently reworking a new sound for this acapella at the moment. J DOT ~ 2006.
I'll say it again. I luv this beat! And I'm actually able to catch some of the more subtle details about the synth work you got on here. Kinda like some contemporary Arabian stuff, ya know?
And it's a very apt name I'm thinkin coz I could totally see some people goin to town on some Soul Caliber or Def Jam Vendetta 2 or some Smackdown Vs Raw with this goin. Yep, a night of jugglin beers with some wicked combos (or random chairs to the back, haha). Bangin stuff holmes. Later on!
Hells yeah, thanks again by the way and obviously for the review and you know what, I couldn't have described this track better myself - you said it all. Thanks Donnie. J DOT ~ 2006
