Got a Herbie Hancock type vibe off this one(that is before you started to wail on the git and do those change ups!lol)...nice and tight groove any band worth their chops would like to call their own...great musicianship, excellent work..cheers Dave

Thanks Dave! Herbie Hancock - have'nt heard that name in a while. My music has taken a slight Gonzo turn recently!

Nice one Jamie..I'm betting these sounds are coming out of a synth module and not a soft synth..they sound fresh and clear..something analogue has over software...and here's me having sold my old DX7,silly me...cool vibes man..smooth and crisp...cheers Dave
jfw
jfw replied Unknown
I used a Yamaha module - hence you recognising the similarity with some sounds on the DX7. The sounds on a DX7 are my favorite synth sounds to this day (with the exception of a Fairlight) The difference in cost back in the 80's however was about £45,000 - no contest - I'll take the DX7 lol.

Nice minimalist funk! I really dig the instrumentation on this one! Nice guitar solo, it really rocks! This really has some nice jazzy elements to it, it sounds very improvised. Nice beats too! Great track!

Jazzy and funky with a slight blues touch.Love when the guitar and synth..is that guitar also?..play together.
Your guitar tone is nice for this, and again jazzy with just the right amount of notes,I love to hear a song breathe...i forget sometimes.
I love it!

Hi Allen, I agree with your comment about trying to make space in music - sometimes it's hard to do! Your right about the doubled synth & guitar line - I just played them in unison.

a delight - every move that nudges you closer to playing 'live' - i think the 'clean' lead lead on this has some of yr best presence yet

Oh man, dig that staccato riddum! Jamie, you truly are one of the most talented musicians on the site (not just my opinion, either), and your tracks never disappoint. Love the olde skool vocal effect, too.

Brilliant flashes of Rick Wakeman style keys there!

"Iyamnotamonster!"

Downloaded and added to favorites.

nice track, seem like it had alot soul to it, i can see a female singer like "sade" has the vocals, you should get hold her and see if she would lay some tracks down for you.. j/k

Mmmm Sade! Now would'nt she be something else to collab with... (dream on...). Thanks for the listen Adam.
