For me, your music is incredibly visual. I keep vacillating between impressionism and dadaism. It's the layers and the mega-texturing you're doing at the deep levels (either that or I'm suffering audio hallucinations again). Wanting to drift off into total digressions, so I'll just give a nod and say how much I like this.
I'm glad to hear this from someone! I've decided that I like to make music that entices the listener to imagine things. It seems like I'm getting closer to my goal then. I suffer from hallucinations audio and otherwise, so I know what you mean. I'm very glad you enjoyed this one! Thanks for the review!
I have a few pictures in my gallery for my looperman profile, and I intend on taking more pictures soon. Those will give you an idea of what I'm talking about.
Your soundscape are always so interesting to discover, again great use of arrangments, like 2 bass line talking to each other, then the haunting vocoder brings in the melodic hook, this is great electro to a drum and bass beat, again a fun journey at sea from Captain Spivkurl.
Thanks for referring to this track as a soundscape...for some reason it's just comforting! I definitely tried to make the two bass lines interact in the realm of frequency. Glad that the vocoder added some interest. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
I hate drum and bass like not as a choice it just sorta happens. I knew I'd like yours. Maybe that was a choice. What is a circuit bent atmosphere exactly? I dare not improvise my own description here in this review. It's too early in the day to let your tracks make my mind start dumping all it's data into this text field.
I'm glad I could make an accessible tune for you. This was a fun one to make. The circuit bent atmospheres are for example what you hear in the background of the intro. They are sounds made from toys which I've rewired into musical instruments. They are a great source of unusual samples. Thanks for stopping by and reviewing!
Highly interesting and innovative use of old technology - this is a great track. By the way I checked out your gallery and I love the gadgets and gizmo's you utilize in your work. Apart from their sonic potential, they are highly interesting from an aesthetic standpoint - they look like they belong in an old sci - fi movie.
Thank you for the kind words, this was a very fun track to make. I'm glad you liked the gallery too. I really need to take pictures of the rest of my circuit bent toys and stuff. Thank you again!
Well done man. Lots going on in this track...I like that kinda stuff. Loved all the synths and effects used, they all sound killer. The vocoded sample is a real fine touch as well.
This track has a very full sound, whether that's the choice of synths or the eqing I'm not sure. Maybe it's both! A lot of energy with very interesting synths. I love that vocoded sample.
Thanks for taking time to listen! I did do a lot of EQ'ing on this track to expose the underlying layers. I mastered it pretty heavilly too, to keep the mix pumpin. The vocoder came from my Microkorg. Thanks for the review!
I've toyed with reel to reels & razor blades back in '91 to create music concrete type loops. What you are doing here works. It seems the tape really settled down the tones & made them more musical. Simply brilliant work here!
I think this song is all about the rhythms. I never added pads or the like because at the time I was very interested in limiting my sound sources. It has been suggested that I release a single with remixes of this track, maybe I should get to work on that.
As far as circuit bending goes - it's a way of modifying electronics especially toys which makes them usable as musical instruments. I have been modifying electronics for a few years now and have lots of toys to sample and chop. You can see some of the gear that I use in my gallery here on my looperman profile. It's a great hobby, almost an obsession.
not bad.i love weird n wacky stuff but this is insane.not to put u down but i didnt like the vocals o the way it was sung.u could have screetched fuck u n it would hav had a good effect on the listner.this was remindin me of linkin parks vocal effect on people.u have it n u to be a poet n a good producer.hey but some creative u could do in future is join my psychedelic ontourage.
It was created at an insane moment in life, so I guess that show's through. As far as the way it was sung, it just all came out that way, couldn't change it even if I wanted to as the album is finished. I'm curious about this psychedelic ontourage you speak of. Thanks for reviewing!
who said u cant manage.wid this track u can get ur senior boss hynotised and get u a job back.lol.no but must say it is quite catchy tune goin on in between.
neat stuff.some good wasp bass sounds.what software u using for this one.very fat soundin.im swayin my head to these infectous tunes.wanna hear more stuff like this.
This one is just fruity loops with some good VSTis, and some select samples - such as the squeaky ones that go through most of the track, those are from a circuit bent toy that plays nursery rhymes. I should keep uploading from this album if you wanna hear more. Thanks again!
I'm new to this site a little over 3 months and the talent around never stop to amaze me, I've listen to your 3 tracks on top and give you my impression on you as an artist first, you are a modern poet but with a real beatnik feel to his art, they were the modern poet of their times blending music and beat, the first two tracks I found myself more atraccted to your words (that I love) than to the music although I tought the music set the perfect tone to your performance but your performance was what captivated me, and then this instrumental that really had me all ears and I loved the production the groove, it is all tight, glad you reviewed my track now I have another artist I will look forward to hear new tracks from. Peace Love and Freedom to use words as music.
Thankk you so much for your kind review! Sometimes I think I have a real beatnik feel to my life, so what you say does not surprise me. I really appreciate all the kind words!
I enjoyed this throughly. it reminds me of people doing some glitchy eccentric dancing along the streets or soemthing, idk. haha. the mood is kind of upbeat, the frog comment was pretty accurate haha, very entertaining
Thank you very much! It is admittedly rather eccentric, but still some of my best work. I'm glad you feel that it's upbeat. Thanks for the kind review.

shoot dude.. this is the kinda track that just speaks from an artists perspective.. it don't matter what style this is considered.
"F*CK you!" indeed, something i say almost everyday
:)
oh, btw,
can you tell me a little bit about the "circuit bent" sounds??
what is that? what do you mean?
that sounds fascinating
