Thank you very much friend! Got to have a good groove when it's dub. I'm really glad you like the vocals, she'll be so happy to hear it. I left this untitled, since the original reading from her zine was untitled as well, but maybe I'll work with her to find a title. Thank you much for the fave!
Super track. I love the clarity of the mix great crisp drums and bass line. I love the way your wife recites and is answered by the synth line - downloading & faving.
Thank you very much for your comments! I was unsure about the mix, but it seems to be getting a good response, so that makes me happy. It was really cool hearing my wife's words fit right into this track. Thank you very much for the fave!
Great opening. Very clean and fresh. Wonderful guitar - damn juicy and textury lovin that for sure. This is cool cool sh there man!!!! Wow - totally in glee at these sounds. This actually works man! I think maybe just a bit of Fx on like the tail end of her sentences. But maybe not, the track is so clean and pristine. Excellent work on this one, it's official - this is my fav track of the week. Fav ... can I download? Good man!! Thanks, great job and cheers!
Thank you very much for the review, and only minutes after upload! I wish I could say I played the guitar, but it is a loop which I got from a CD, sounds cool though. I have thought about adding a little dub delay to the vocals, but I'm still not sure about it. I'll give it some thought. Thank you very much for the rave and fave! You know you can always DL my tracks!
Your description makes a lot of sense to me. I hear and feel the clarity for sure. Perhaps with your wife the thing is her clarity is different. Maybe for her you should get a song together that would be her ideal clarity, move between that place and what her place of being on the med would be, and then play that for her, so she can understand. Neat little project there for ya!! I like this - nice work. Love the true descrip too. Really feel ya here bro.
Thanks for your understanding and helpful review! I can't say that I'd know where to begin, trying to guess what my wife's version of clarity would be. I'm glad you can feel this track too! Thanks for stoppin by!
hmm, I don't have much experienced listening to this type of music, but what I felt from the start that synth(guitar synth from the start) is too loud and always the same. So I would suggest, to try add one sound and mix up with guitar synth. Mix should start from ~1:00s. I like the breakdown, but after it same synth as you started with, so it should be really nice if it would start with another sound and after some time add old synth again :)
Thanks for the listen and the comments. I think the synth you are speaking of is the modulated hoover lead. If you listen very carefully it is blended with another sound later in the track. I don't usually like to do a lot of switching up of sounds in my tracks. Keeping the same sounds going throughout the track gives the feel of a band in a way - like when you're playing in a band you don't usually switch instruments halfway through a song. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for your help!
Awesome track, I'm gald I checked in to see what wonderous glittery sound treasure you have revealed for my waiting ears (firmly ensconced with headphones so the frigging neighbors won't complain but as usual I digress ).
Keep them coming !!!!
I'm really glad you enjoyed this one. You're probably hearing the track as intended, since I do a lot of my mixing with headphones. Thanks for stopping by!
Love it! It's like my mp3 player got drunk! I like how it has an eb & flow to it, like when you first walk on land after being on the boat for a bit. More please :)
Sweet... I hope your mp3 player doesn't get sick... lol. What you say about first walking onto land, I can really identify with that. That really describes the feeling I've been having while working on this track. Thanks for helping me understand myself better!
Thanks for checking this track out! I did use one toy on this track - that was some drums sampled from a hing hon EK-900 keyboard kind of a famous circuit bending target. I like it because of it's driven analog sort of sound. Thanks for the review!
Ok, feeling a little more articulate again. Strange to find that certain levels of music/sonic interface push me right into non-verbal realms these days. I can feel things, I just can't describe them.
This track is brilliant. It's very physical, and motivates (compels) movement. BigPete's right as it does induce a happy state, but it tickles something a bit deeper, too. There's something very Dadaesque or Surrealistic happening here. It's one of those tracks you're just not quite sure if you should laugh or cry behind. Like you've framed the nature of absurdity and hung it on the wall for examination.
I also love the title in relation to this. "Clarity" - I love that term. In my best writing to date, I have a character who's a pharmacology major who develops a habit to a drug whose street name is Clarity (the backbone is ketamine) which of course leads to several very inspired and absurd lines. In my imaginary development of this drug and its effects, this track is truly the internal soundtrack I've always had in mind. Drugged shuffle Dada absurdity lending itself to cut and paste Shakespeare poetry performance art.
Best and most danceable Art track I've heard this incarnation. Cheers.
EDIT: Version 3 is the one! It's one of those situations where a favorite has gotten even better. Bloody brilliant (or should I say the Clarity is impeccable). All I can really say is, "Stabbed with a white wench’s black eye/The wheel is come full circle/If you want to win anything - a race, your self, your/Life - you have to go a little berserk/Thus conscience does make cowards of us all" (Vivian on Clarity).
Thanks for the listen and the fave! I understand completely feeling non verbal after listening... my relationship with music has been largely non verbal lately as well, hence all the instrumentals.
I find it hard to respond to such an involved review. To compel movement with a song is very intriguing to me, I suppose that's the compulsion behind dance music... it's nice when it happens spontaneously.
Interesting comparison between clarity and a drug itself, especially if this song can speak to this comparison. I'm intrigued to hear of this writing of yours... are you writing a novel or something of the like?
Thank you for the inspiring comments, I really appreciate it!
this is great your voice effect is so fu*&?ng awsome, robot with emotion, love the whole fun atmosphere to the track, almost futuristic retro, truly original as usual the production sounds fine to me, real treat this track a fun ride very happy face :)
By voice effect you must mean that modulated hoover synth, I assume so cuz it's a little robotic and there's no real voice in this track. I'm glad someone thinks this track is fun not freaky! I'm happy you say the production sounds fine, since this was done a little differently than usual. Glad I could put a smile on your face!
This track reminds me of some band...but at the moment I can't think of what. When I remember I'll let you know. But anyways, awesome track. The feeling of the track, I would have to agree with your wife, it's a little freaky...but cool freaky. I think it would be possible to add something else into this mix..maybe another synth or whatever. Overall though, its another killer track...which I've come to expect from you. Keep rockin man. Congrats on the superstardom. if anyone deserves that its you!
I'd really be curious to hear a band that this song reminds you of! The mix is so dense allready I've been scared to add another synth to the mix... but that can be scary at many times, who knows maybe I will add to the track. Thanks for the constructivism and letting me freak you out!
So you're back again with that amazing track, and if I'm not mistaken it seems you got upgrated to a deserved rank of Superstar member!Great beat,no,sick beat!the synth is just right on time.I quite agree with your wife:this track is deliciously freaky!
Cheers
French Kid
Hah! You're too kind! The beat on this one got sort of complex in it's creation, but I think the stereo field it projects is worth it. Thanks for taking the time to listen!
sick track bro, i love what you brought to us deffinatly. i would say id love to hear maybe another synth popping out from the depths of this track, maybe one a little higher than the main synth u got throughout the track. just a stab from a sound like that here and there over the track. But man, i really like it. And keep making music cause its there for everyone to listen!

Thank you very much for the complimentary review! I am considering what you've said and I will probably try to update the track. Keep a watch, it won't be long! I have no intention of stopping at making music. Thanks for listening friend!
diggin' the textures here that you are using man....your work is so rooted in the classic electronic giants of the school man, reminds me of not only yello and kraftwerk but also the 8bit weapon stuff i've heard recently...real and direct, that vocoder stuff put's me right back in front of the Mudd club on 23rd st nyc...1981-2..when Arthur took Trans Europe Express and just ran with it...thanks again for sharing your unique sound bro !!

I'm really happy you've enjoyed this one. I really haven't listened to much of the groups you speak of, but maybe I should be... heh I'm glad the vocoder brought you back to an interesting time! I appreciate your unique and entertaining reviews. Thanks for stopping by!
This is brilliant!
Reminds me of Yello.
Such a good vibe!Well mixed and produced.

I think this is a fantastic track.Def one for my ipod!g.x
I was in the mood to listen to some Spivkurl and was hoping to find that you uploaded a new track since it has been a little bit since I last listened to a track of yours. Unfortunately nothing new...so I scrolled down till I found a track I haven't listened to. This is a great track...vocals sound good, they are yours I'm guessing?? Loved the beat as well and that killer bass. You really know how to create tracks that sound simply spectacular!! Keep rockin!!
Thanks for checking out some of my older stuff. This is one of my personal favourites, glad you enjoyed it too. Yep those are my vocals... You might be interested in a track I just uploaded entitled "Break Me". Thanks for listening!
I love circuit bent stuff...it's like the machines we use, abuse and totally rely upon are finally getting their say!...this sort of stuff bores right into your psyche,it gets behind your eyes.....and you can't stop nodding your head! lol..great track man..nice use of the vox as well..cheers planet :)
It's nice to finally use these gadgets I've put together. and use them in a musical fashion. I think the atmospheres really bring this track together. It's good to hear some one else appreciating it. Thank you very much for checking out my new stuff!
overall flow roll of the hit hat is nice ....and the kicks u used alsowell a bit feective for this tracks ... nice blends !!! tempo of this could be some what better if the tempo was a bit fast ..liked the ending u gave ... that was a good stuff ... all the equo has been set properly ... thats all i can review u in this track :)
nice work bro..!!!
keep trying new stufff!!!
its really inspires me !!!
becoz i believe in "new experiment always roczzzzzzzz!!!
ALL the best bro!!! god bless !!!!
Maybe I should remix this track at a faster tempo or something, it seems like it might be better that way. Thank you for your helpful comments and encouragement. Glad I could give some inspiration!
I thought about one of those things you shake and it makes noise...
Beatnik...
My favorite part of the beatnik generation was "on the road"
I think about that book all the time..
especially "into the wild" which was a modern day mythology.
This is kinda like mythology in it's self... it's like ....

I don't know...
lol
I love this
But I did hear a more realistic drum and sugar smoked vocals in my head..
Just my opinion..
I have an inert feeling that you and I are on complete opposites of the soundwave...
which I appreciate and love all the more..
Pleeeeease keep it up!
good beginning, although one criticism i have is that even though the drums are nicely eqed, they are quiet repetitive. Not saying it's not right just saying adding a few minor sounds in the front of the mix might hvae given it a nice variety
Personally I would have changed the note patterns the second time around, but sometimes it doesn't work that well, sometimes it does, so that's just my little 2 cents right there :)
Have fun! and Good work!
God Bless

Ah ha! I love it, I checked out the gallery. Dude I really admire your skillz, both in THIS song, your other tracks and then for your obvious skills and understanding of electronics and sound. Vry cool.
Thank you very much! I wish I understood electronics more, but I think I have put holes in my brain since I built all this stuff. Maybe I just exceeded myself. I appreciate the good review!

I too like "On The Road", kerouac wrote heaps of cool stuff. Do you think this song sounds "beat"?
I can see what you mean about opposites of the soundwave... maybe we're working together to fill a void... or maybe I'm just tired...
