I'm really glad you stopped by! Yeah those polysynths are fun to play with! Glad you liked the progressions! That's funny, I never thought of this track as a sub rattler! Thanks very much for your kind remarks!

I liked the drumloop, nice work there with that. The sounds all flow together really nicely, and I really like the bass! I fully agree with Ensam that the track won't let you go until the end, it did the same for me :P

It's sweet dear.. Like the VERY happy synth dancing and playing on it's own totally unaffected of the bassline trying lazy to follow.. Only meant in a nice way.. The contrast between those two makes it funny and nice and makes You think of, people can be exactly like that.. *giggle*

I was thinking I would hear "we are devo, d-e-v-o" in there at some point, haha. Boy did it remind me of some of that 80s electronic new wave at that time, like Gary Newman. You can certainly make a genre all your own Spiv, that's a good thing!

dl and fav!! Thanks!

Ha ha Devo and Gary Newman, that's funny! I hadn't thought of it that way! I guess that's what I get when I try to make DnB. Thanks for the kind words my friend, and thanks for the fave! Take care man!

Your melodies never cease to amaze me, Spiv. Very cool synths in there. In the breakdown, your music skills really begin to shine. I like the bring in on the up at 1:40. Another great song in your catalog! I still haven't got to hear all of them yet. All in due time, Friend!

Cheers! Great song!

Hey thank you so much! I like the breakdown in this one too. You're too kind with all your praise, your tracks really rock too! Not that you do rock songs, but you know what I mean...haha! Thanks for taking time to listen and review!

This was really interesting. Definitely unlike any d'n'b track I've ever heard, and I quite enjoyed it. If you don't mind me asking, what's the bpm of this track? It sounded a lot slower than 170, which is standard dnb, but then again I've heard a lot of tunes which sound way slower or faster than their actual tempo.
Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied Unknown
Hey thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it! The tempo of this is actually 172 BPM. Some of it is definitely half time feel, in my opinion. I really appreciate you taking the time to review!

The drumloop in the beggining was great, the growly bass was great, and I liked the high noize, not too sure if this is trance, but I'm not too sure what it would go under so I can't say anything there really. I also really liked the way that the release with the high noize was different on one note, and the pads were great!

Hey, thanks glad you liked it! Yeah my trance never really lives up to the genre trance, atleast not to purists...I just didn't know where to put it. Thanks for returning the favour of a review! Take care friend!

Hey Man! Interesting combination of sounds in this track! While listening I get the feel of walking down the streets of a foreign city looking in at the stores searching for interesting things to take back with me! The use of guitar is perfect for the song and the heavy percussion works real well in giving this track originality and making it unique! Great stuff! Keep up surprising us with your new sounds! Added to faves also!
Keep up the good work!
Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied Unknown
Yeah I wanted to experiment with unusual combinations of sounds on this one, and acoustic guitar isn't often used with electronics like this. Sounds like it took you on a nice journey, I hope you found something to bring back with you. Thanks so much for your review and for the fave! You've made me smile!

A bit older one huh?
I need to go thru your expansive library and check 'em all out...
I like this! Most definitely got the Mario thingy happenin.

It's totally happy.. but .. the aggressive bass is also kinda cognitively interesting..
It's like the guitarsish and organ have a pensive quality and then the bass is just like BWAAAAAA lol

Really good stuff!
I felt a pad deuling on the half-time around the 3 minute mark / outro woulda been coolish..
Awesome!

Yeah everything of mine is old right now, because my CD Burner died and I can't transfer anything to my internet computer... it's a little depressing.

But anyway, I'm really glad you liked this one. Yeah upon listening to this again, the bass is kind of funny, it just seemed like the best way to offset those organs. BWAAAA

Thanks for all your kind and helpful words! Your reviews are always a pleasure to receive!

this gives me an edgy feeling... like im walking down a hallway and the fluorescent lighting is flickering on and off. coming off meds always gives me this feeling, this song seems to fit that bill perfectly. thumbs up. didnt hear the old versions but this one sounds great..not something I usually listen to but it caught my attention which can be tough! i think its the drums i like so much something with the timing, good job
Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied Unknown
You describe what I was feeling when making this song perfectly, you must've had similar experiences. I'm glad you didn't hear the old versions, as this is a major improvement. Glad you liked the drums, as if I remember right they took a while to get just right. Glad I could catch your attention! I appreciate your review my friend!

This is pretty weird, and in a good way. I loved the song the minute the acoustic guitar came in at the start. To me, those almost mellow acoustic chords give your song a normal, melodic base and it just combines perfectly with the extremely strange percussion and synth.
Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied Unknown
I'm glad you could find it weird in a good way, that's kind of the intention...haha! I think the acoustic guitar turned out nicely too, and yes it makes a good contrast with the percussion. Thanks so much for listening and reviewing!

very happy little track. sounds like stereolab or something. nice weirdness to it. that bass is killer, i think it goes well, and i think your beats are very complimentary to the whole sound.

nice

This takes me on a journey! the atmosphere is a eerie with the de-tuning on the synths and all, an awesome eerie. The guitar loops sound really good with this track. I like the glitchy drums a lot.
Those synths are freakin' sweet!

Great job, Spiv!
