Very experimental feel to this. Strange meter to it, it kind of lopes or hops along. Is that your wife singing in the background? If it is, she's becoming a staple part of the spivkurl sound. I think your voice could do with some reverb and possibly other treatments, maybe phaser or flanger? - good work.

I love how the intro drags into the main riff. It sounds great. I dont really have much to say about it but i like it.

The difference is subtle, but I think it's better with the extra treatments. I think the volume on the bass could come up a little, it's a little buried in the mix and its such a great hook of a bass line. This track just gets better with listening - sure sign of a great track.

The vocals are good, but a little monotone, could use a little more accentuation, but her voice is nice, and i understand how it can be working with somone who is not a musician, when you have a vision its not always easy to get another two uderstand it! the monotone thing does work, but a little more emmotion would go a long ways!
Pretty good all around though, definatly a very reggae bassline!

This is quite good Spiv. It's got a nice compelling beat and melody. It's the kind of thing I might hear in a Beat club of the late 60's. You know, the ethereal poetry reading in a SF bookstore with the very cool beat music playing in the background. Original. Nice stretch.

This was super fun! Moring 4:2- sesh went down super smoov wit dis on the lickle stereo. I liked Nomad's review for you, but to push even a step further I'd don't clean it up, make it even rawer! I know that's a hard sound to conquer, but this track could go 1 step beyond with this:

slow it down 10 bpm
sample and resample a couple of the parts (organs, plucked guit) and send em thru a bit stauratin filter to phatten and distort the sounds, then maybe add a room style reverb to em or even a mid range delay set to some long drawn out groove, 5/4 :)

In other words Jah loved this track!

Still sounds like Spivkurl even under the dub umbrella. Cool.

Good stuff happening here, and the bass is an instant hook. I love how the bent circuitry responds to it. Such a great groove develops that holds it all together.

I wonder if dubbifying it further might push it closer to the edge. It's a personal aesthetic, and this is lovely as is. I can't help but wonder though what would happen if perhaps her vocals delayed out at the end of each stanza, for instance. Or if there was more reverb and delay on the snare. One of the things I really love about old dub was how much bleedthrough there was with the amps and tracks. I think it gave it this complete or inseparable quality.

Still, this is fantastic, and I hope you play around with this style some more!

3 Nov addition: Yeah man! The further dubifications are fantastic. The echo on the vox is exactly as I imagined! Nice extension of verb, too. Sweet, very sweet.

Your description makes a lot of sense to me. I hear and feel the clarity for sure. Perhaps with your wife the thing is her clarity is different. Maybe for her you should get a song together that would be her ideal clarity, move between that place and what her place of being on the med would be, and then play that for her, so she can understand. Neat little project there for ya!! I like this - nice work. Love the true descrip too. Really feel ya here bro.

hmm, I don't have much experienced listening to this type of music, but what I felt from the start that synth(guitar synth from the start) is too loud and always the same. So I would suggest, to try add one sound and mix up with guitar synth. Mix should start from ~1:00s. I like the breakdown, but after it same synth as you started with, so it should be really nice if it would start with another sound and after some time add old synth again :)

Ok, feeling a little more articulate again. Strange to find that certain levels of music/sonic interface push me right into non-verbal realms these days. I can feel things, I just can't describe them.

This track is brilliant. It's very physical, and motivates (compels) movement. BigPete's right as it does induce a happy state, but it tickles something a bit deeper, too. There's something very Dadaesque or Surrealistic happening here. It's one of those tracks you're just not quite sure if you should laugh or cry behind. Like you've framed the nature of absurdity and hung it on the wall for examination.

I also love the title in relation to this. "Clarity" - I love that term. In my best writing to date, I have a character who's a pharmacology major who develops a habit to a drug whose street name is Clarity (the backbone is ketamine) which of course leads to several very inspired and absurd lines. In my imaginary development of this drug and its effects, this track is truly the internal soundtrack I've always had in mind. Drugged shuffle Dada absurdity lending itself to cut and paste Shakespeare poetry performance art.

Best and most danceable Art track I've heard this incarnation. Cheers.

EDIT: Version 3 is the one! It's one of those situations where a favorite has gotten even better. ##### brilliant (or should I say the Clarity is impeccable). this is great your voice effect is so fu*&?ng awsome, robot with emotion, love the whole fun atmosphere to the track, almost futuristic retro, truly original as usual the production sounds fine to me, real treat this track a fun ride very happy face :)

This track reminds me of some band...but at the moment I can't think of what. When I remember I'll let you know. But anyways, awesome track. The feeling of the track, I would have to agree with your wife, it's a little freaky...but cool freaky. I think it would be possible to add something else into this mix..maybe another synth or whatever. Overall though, its another killer track...which I've come to expect from you. Keep rockin man. sick track bro, i love what you brought to us deffinatly. i would say id love to hear maybe another synth popping out from the depths of this track, maybe one a little higher than the main synth u got throughout the track. just a stab from a sound like that here and there over the track. But man, i really like it. And keep making music cause its there for everyone to listen!
