Hey dude...Well I think you been doin some serious trance revision..this song has shown you can come up with some really good shit!!! Great melodies and great changes...Only thing missing for me was a break in the song with a lead, maybe around 3min or so!!! (but like i said, and i may be wrong here...) it does sound like you've been listenin to how the pros do it, and that for me is the best way to learn! It just sounds like since your last tune you have a better hold on melody and arrangement and stuff!! Very Well done! Keep it up..!
I like the mix on this one. It seems very contained if that makes sense? Like all the instruments are one in some way. Seems in some way a little sad...you feeling ok? lol sorry
well i sort of wen with the feelin, erm jus found out my best mate shagged my sons mum ( my ex ) lol and she had me arrested but we wont go into that. So yeah pretty rough time. mad i didnt realise i had transfered it to the track lol
As the other guys said, this track has great potential. Go back and mix it again though. Start with your kick and bass together...that way you'll generate the groove for the song, and when you r mixin watch your levels aren't in the red. Also watch the compression...coz it sounds as if there is too much of it..
Second, filter out the low freq on all your cymbals and hats etc...they'll cut through much better. And then work on your leads / synths etc...and you should find the mix sounds waaay better! Hope that helps man!! Keep it up..
The levels are a bit high but i like the tune! Fix the levels, add a nice hark kick beat and some percussion, and your on your way to a decent track! Good work!
i think it sounds alright tbf...
the vocals can be a bit anyoying when it says kill me again and again..
and it needs bassline
but i cant do no better anyway lol
Yeah M2000 said exactly what i was thinkin...NEEDS a bassline badly!!! The whole point of a dance tune is to get a groove goin, which comes from a kick and bassline. Then you can stick whatever you want on top....
I know its hard man....best way to approach this is listen to top trance tunes .....really listen to them....thats what i do...how they blend the sounds, what makes you move and groove, then try to do what they do....know what i mean???? dont copy them but once you get it you'll never look back man!!! Keep at it, coz you got shitloads of potential!! Honestly!!
cheers, i have been hittin trance for years, this is the first time ive ever not been able to tie in a bassline i jus cant seem to think of one
im pure stumped but ill persevere
AHHHH!!!! I had a page long review written and I accidentally pressed cancel... Well I will summarize... When the vocals say it's just one more... that is when I would bring in the beat. Then run the lead through a filter when they die down and use a cymbal or something to bring it back in. The lead is a little repetitive, but good. It holds the lowest part of the arp to long... it goes high lower loweeeeeeeeeeeeest, maybe you could go high lower lowest highest? Just some ideas, and maybe another lead, something echoey. You also need a bassline, and they are not hard to create. Take an analog synth use two saw waves and set them in octave 2 with high filter frequencies.
I like the synths a lot, how they stack so well. Very happy and upbeat. The synth needs to be a little more dynamic. You have that great synth, but it almost never stops, which helps build tension and make it more energetic when it comes to the chorus.
thanks damann as i said im jus startin out lazyboy100183@hotmail.com i'd love to bounce ideas and to be honest im pretty much just settin off on this thing on my won
Mhm, I gotta agree with Zighn that the chord changes are nice. The kick could be a bit more solid and not as loud maybe, but tbh i know nothing of trance lmao. I think you did a fantastic job for your first track, seriously. As Eshar said you seem to be a natural. Keep the great work up :DDD
For a first go this is awsome!! Better than my first..which is on here too!!! Sounds at least you got to grips with the mixer...unlike me on my first tune!! Nice1
