For some reason I didn't expect this to sound as chill as it does. Like Golden said, the transitions are perfect. Great work

Hm, "chill" wasn't the vibe I got from it, but if that's what you gained that's epic. I guess I lucked out on transitions... ^_^'

very cinematic. i kept anticipating drums, it just felt like they were about to drop, but never did. if this is a movie score then drums aren't really needed to be honest. i love this!

Still waiting to hear an original man, the remixes are good but theyre always reworks of someone elses tracks...i know your original will be amazing. Youve definitely got the skills ....waiting for it to truly shine through.

The entire part of 1:28 - 2:00 and 3:12 - 3:47. The kick seems all good. I used that word pure as a saying, my bad.

Its just that the more quiet parts either or to quiet, or the louder parts are to loud. There could be a better harmony.

Decently created. I did not knew Both of you and I think I felt as much in love with it as you did ^^

Only thought I have is to mix it a bit more together as one.The chorus parts at 1:28 and 3:12 seems to kick in a little to loud compared to the other parts.
acesmith
acesmith replied 26th Aug 2016 - 7 years ago
The entire drop or just the kick at the beginning? Because I made the kick louder purposefully.

i acctually really like the light bass drop i was hoping i could use this for use in my launchpad and do a remix on it and if i upload it (most likely if i like it) you would get credit as well.

Sure, but I recommend you download Music Maker Jam from MAGIX. It's free and all the sounds I used in this come from its native Brostep soundpool.

The intro with that bass line is amazing. As I progressed through the song I noticed the noticed just disappeared. Might be the mixing, unless you intentionally dropped. The build ups are absolutely amazing. The FX Sounds you used are pretty cool, and creative. It was a good idea adding that rap into it, wasn't expecting something like that in a dubstep track. All I can recommend is fixing the bass because it's almost completely gone throughout the song. Great Production nevertheless! Check out my tracks, and leave some feedback when you get the chance.

Yeah, I originally dropped it because I didn't think it was necessary past the intro. Multiple people have told me I'm wrong. I'm going to put it back in when I finish the tweaks.

I remixed this for my new EP, you should check it out.

The drop was good but I agree that it needs more bass in the drop. But the song is great, has good structure and maintains interest throughout. Good work!

Mercury was just a weird-style experiment that I made, but yeah if I make it into a full thing I'll take your advice.

Sounds nice! The only thing I would change is that you put more bass in the drop but that is just personal reference I think.

I'm gonna be away for the next eight weeks. You should check out stuff I've already uploaded, because other than that I will be sadly lacking in forthcoming content.

on INITIATE THE BASS - FULL THROTTLE by acesmith
Popular doesn't equal good.. Go and listen to the top forty and tell me it's all good music.. Naaahhh..

Retaliate all you like dude, I'm comfortable in my skills... I do have the right, it's called freedom of expression.. A real musician would understand that...

Here's something you could do better... Everything...

Your "song" was a great reference to the somewhat talented Franko75.

Plenty of originality? You name five loopers and I highly doubt you changed the original loops much... Just a guess though..

I would like to be helpful, genuinely I would, but I feel you're a lost cause, yet another dude with a laptop and FL.. Over-saturating the market with drivel, making it harder for talented, hard-working musicians, to flourish...

In summation stop trying to sound like everybody else and don't get pissed at what some random dude on the internet thinks..

acesmith replied 28th Jun 2016 - 7 years ago
The reason I'm so "pissed" is because what you're saying isn't even advice, it isn't even criticism. It's just insults, for no reason. And I didn't say popular equals good, I was just saying that you're the ONLY person I've ever met who hates my track. That's got to count for something.

You haven't even provided a single thing I could do better. Saying "everything" isn't criticism, it's just another way to insult me. And while I do enjoy franko75's work, I don't see how this is a "reference" to him. I haven't even used one of his loops.

Also, please learn to count better.

If you "would like to be helpful", maybe try being helpful. And don't think I didn't notice that last shot there. I feel I'm plenty talented and I put in a lot of work in my tracks.

That being said, I can see that I can't change your opinion with this track, so I suggest you listen to some of my others. You might find something you like.

on INITIATE THE BASS - FULL THROTTLE by acesmith
Did this track fall out of the trope tree, hitting every generic branch on the way down? There's absolutely no life to this, nothing unique that would make it your own.. Place this next to most other "dubstep" tracks you hear these days and you could swear the same guy made it.. I could take apart this track sound by sound a link to other tracks that have the EXACT same thing going on... Harsh perhaps but heed my words, do your own thing, how do you expect to stand out with this trite?
acesmith
acesmith replied 24th Jun 2016 - 7 years ago
Considering the original version is my second most popular track, I think I'm doing just fine standing out, thank you very much.

Also, don't expect to come to me and throw your barrage of insults at me and not have me retaliate. You have NO right to just come in here and insult my track relentlessly. If you're going to bash every single bit of a track, at least provide some actual criticism, or maybe something I could do better!

Also, going to OTHER TRACKS and hating on this one is probably the most scummy thing you could do.

I feel I've done plenty original with this, such as the double drop and halfway incorporation of pads and other synths, as well as layering them throughout the track as a callback to weave it together.

In summation, fuck you.
