Easily the opening score of an action series..a police procedural maybe? I'd classify it as organic-IDM :P

You rock, later

This is my 2nd or 3rd time of listening, so I suspect that means I like it. :P

So you should check out here:

This track could be played while they were doing their shenanigans.
I agree with PBJ about the intro needing to be longer, but other than that you've got the potential for a kick ass track dude.

some great stuff here brother...you gotta stretch out the intro... brother add some more interest in it...

the all round vibe of the track is cool ..

my advise for the drum track would be have two instances of your kick and pan one slight left and the other slightly right it'll give the kick more power and take alot from the middle section of the track...you could also bounce them to a send track an add some extra reverb and a auto pan ya know?

the track does seem to be lacking that bass element ya know?

but still having said that you got the makings of a cool sounding track brother

Keep 'em coming

Totally going to do all these things you mention.

Yeah.. I mean I am transitioning begrudgingly to focusing on quality over quantity (and I fuckinghateit) but your too true in your review.

Longer intro.
Drums need to have more presence.
BASS! I actually mentioned it to Marius (a fuckingbadass like SIENsystem) and his responses where kinda the same.
With the bass I have to wrestle that fine line of EPIC bass, (as bass sucks all the mids and some highs ie, mah guitars), but I NEED MORE BASS!! I think I need to just get a better microphone and maybe cabinet, as bouncing down from computer to outboard is still "meh" at best. =/
or maybe I should just try and emulate my bass guitar with a 3 oscilator detune saw wave and mix the live element of bass guitar with soft synth stuffs?

I dunno.

It is a cool track I think.. just lacks a producer behind it lol

Ha I wish Kcentric had more pellas...I really dig his vocals and his way of looking at the world through music.

Did you see the review I left for your clepto loops...an answer to the question about FB or Gmail would be nice.

The track I made is practically finished but when I was listening a little while ago I thought I would adjust the arrangement slightly.

Anyway...thanks for keeping this version of the track up. :)

i like the wind and the ambience overall. and the groove is compelling. and good mixing!(IMHO)

chopping into loops might be a way to look deeper into some details which you might bring back into the track to further refine.

other thought is you might bring down the drum groove and introduce your bass guitar and a guitar solo. then bring up the drum groove again. might serve to expand and vary at the same time.

i admire your work

It didn't sound like porn to me...the first, second or subsequent times I listened...makes me wonder what porn channel Cleptography watches lol.

'Invasion of the Trolls' song, band or film name :)

Haven't listened to much of your stuff in a while, so I figured I'd take a listen to this. Really like the electric piano in the start. Fantastic drum work, really nice sounding bass, the oriental instruments near the end are really cool.

Whenever I listen to your tracks they always have these chilled out, yet simoultaenously uplifting, and the drum production in each one is just epic... I think I've got a long way to go before I start producing percussion with a standard this high.

Really nice sounding track alivid, keep up the excellent work!

Fav'd.

Let me know if and when you make this one longer.

Ste :D

I liked this dude...in fact I am pressing play again.

Yummmy...those are rhodes right? That sub-bass is awesome to my ears...it always intrigues me how I respond to the most unusual sounds.

I love that the track has a kind of Oriental sound about it. I bet you watch a lot of Japanese anime.

alividlife replied Unknown
All rhodes.. lol.. if I don't have a guitar it's rhodes..

Yea the sub-bass/yawning.. totally stole from the Glitch Mob and Prefuse 73.. I am at 110 BPM, but I wants to somehow make the breakdown segue into the 160/170 BPM.. it should be cool beans.. if only I had .. some sort of "hook".

It is basically Cmin but sorta whatever lol.

Sorry I have been a shitty friend =/

Abe you are true artist my friend. Like a painter using many colours, you paint music (does that actually make sense? well, it does to me ha ha).

I always find your work inspiring and enjoyable to listen to. This had got an electro/rock feel to it for me, especially with the glitch beats. To be honest, it's just a quality piece of MUSIC, irrespective of genre etc.

Loved it my friend, a definite fave.

Hell yeah! This track rocks my friend!

Totally love the arrangement and the production. The glitches are awesome as are the drums and guitar!

Very much into this piece, so it's a fave for future enjoyment.

Great work my friend.

wow...nice...ALIVID is back...YEAH!!!

the drum work this is fantastic brother and don't get me started on the guitar work.... I would say though that guitar track that comes in at about 0:50 needs to come to the front rather than being hidden at the back bringing out of the reverb would add an extra maiden feel to it...

the glitches are amazing brother...vst? is it that sequent? if it is what preset are you using....

on a personally note I would be completely happy to release something of this quality on the label...

nice nice nice...keep 'em coming brother..

YOU ROCK...

diggin this track, loving your feel for melody and crossover balance. If listening specifically for dnb it's a trifle too slow though. The dynamics like the intermission and breaks - the whole build up rocks though, but its like I wish all yer tracks were longer. Norm I'd cut my way through it but here I'm afraid its too awesome to cut anything away, -great works.

Totally agree.. It's like.. I always try and figure out how to pull off the whole 180 BPMish thing.. and this is WAaaaaay to slow to be DnB.. you shoulda heard the demos at 90 BPM.. I couldn't fake it well enuff.. but whatever.. I am still not very happy with this track as of yet.. but time will tell,.. Thanks for taking the time tho!

maaad, mad vibes :o, ye i like it...as for the tips I'd say watch the mastering load, especially volume to be all-compatible hehe, but the tune is great, its somewhere out there, out there, - it feels like a coming up metal track, great melody lines, - i wish it continued. Sounds sincere, good instrument pick,- sounds pure, alive and awesome, its like I wish this was played by the philarmonic orchstra as a genre.

I need to lay down in a darkened room...or get better glasses...bah. Totally mis-read what you put, but anyway...this is a fantastic track and made me run fast. :)

There may be all kinds of references and influences that you can point to, but seriously without blowing smoke up your "rrrrs" I hear you in there...and that's good!
