Liked what you have done here, sax is worked in very well, I would not have thought to add sax to this type of background. Great creativity, well done.
Hey Curtis.....your tracks are getting better and better..this has real presence and a dramatic feel..the bass line is wicked and you've tied in Slap's sax brilliantly, top notch synth work.....the fades lift the dynamic tension into full on fusion mode....the vocals were a nice touch and lend a cool quality...this really is a great track from your ever expanding musical creativity....great work! cheers Dave :)
I like the feel of this track dude! Just needs some fatter bass and kik to drive it a little harder, but if you were goin for chilled feel then its definitely spot on!! Great work!
good track... i love bass so i'm wanting some phat bass to drive it.
seem pretty minimal but thats cool too
very mixable.. if i was to DJ this track i'd have allot of fun with it.
i think some panning would do nice and bring out some of the lead synths while fading the back ground trippy stuff in and out mixed with some panning.
I love listening to stuff like this because it shows me how far I have to go with D&B until I start getting it right. This gives me ideas for what to do and try. So thanks for that.
I see that you've got 5 tracks for the RPM challenge. What kind of timeline are you setting for yourself? Like day to day or..? I'm thinkin that's the way I'd do it (day-to-day) and I'd label the stuff like 1A Snuffle Rumpkins, 2C Marbles, etc (for day & track number).
Anyways, this one is nuts (though short). The scratchy vox were great and I love the way you change up transition fades with what you use (drums on one, synths on another, etc.). It's pretty jammin for a quickly composed song. Later on mate!
How did I miss this one!? I coulda swore I listened to all of the entries, but I guess not... (shrugs).
I'm gonna say (without bias or however many I entered) that yours should/will win. Yeah, out of all the stuff I've heard for it (including my own stuff) I'm diggin yours the most...
And it ended, sh*t!
Well, lengthwise, scratch what I was sayin above. This song was so awesome that 3.5 mins doesn't do it justice. How 'bout remixing this puppy for us, pwetty pwease? Or how about this, I do a remix of this. Man, I tell you, if I've ever promised to do anything of yours, this would be the one! Dead serious, I'm gettin all twitchy thinkin about it. Yeah, so without further ado, lemme click DL/Fav and get to work on this puppy. Well, after one more review that is. Thanks for sharing (& inspiring). Later on mate!
Nice mellow trance I like it and the phasing fits in real nice. My only complaint is it kinda starts out in full effect instead of building up like I like but im sure thats just my nostalgia for older trance. Look forward to hearing more from ya.
Is it too late to sign up for RPM? I want to see if I can do it in 7 days. The dream like quality to the intro of this track works very well, I love the melody that comes in, your choice of synths is very effective in this track. Levels are perfect, the mix is great.
Peace,
Helix
I love the melody in this one, and the chord pregression flows very nicely. I think the pad that comes in at 1:40ish and fades out to leave the melody playing works very well.
No criticism for this track, everything is A-Okay.
Peace,
Helix
@ around 50 secons or earlier into the track
The kick becomes drowned a bit w/ the other sounds
But it doesn't mess up the song at all, just something to point out
The melodies you have in this track are well constructed
your trance prouduction has gotten better over a
period of time
This song has a wonderful synthetic feel, yet its soft
and Dreamy
As a title suggestion i would title it
Mirrors because of the delay effect of the synth sound
When i first hear this song in loopmix cy radio, i just started smiling, this song is so good it put a smile on my face and i started dancing! When i am happy and smile about one song it means its very good! I just fall in love in to this sounds in start of the song and that crazy melody and base! This is one perfect song in every way!!! Great job
That Reece is wobbly. Your use of noise in this track is superb, it really thickens it out, the drums are great and the mix is perfect, everything can be heard very well, no problems with the levels.
Keep it up,
Helix
Haha..hey Curtis nice drumming ..I really dig the feel of this one..it's like your in the drivers seat of the "Drum Kit from Hell"...it's got a pile driving beat too..it's 'wicked'as they say and probably quite dangerous at high volume levels! lol....cheers planet :)...Oh..I forgot to say, excellent production values it sounds very polished
Sidechain Compression.. let me explain it in, interested terms....
This man has a jet pack(chords/pads/whatever you want to put that effect one) and he's flying all happy, then the wind(compressor) powered by the gods(kick) push him back for a second, but he goes straight back to where he was, this repeats over and over =D.
So use a sidechain compressor and route the sidechainer to be the kick, hope this helps!
Made it a long time ago, I thought it was goa at the time, but I learned, falls under electronicia I guess, but the title doesn't fit anymore, because 604=goa, and goa does not equal this... Oh well, I sitll like it...
Reason was my 1st music production "love" :)...and after a year playing around with it i decided for floops...cause i think the reason is more for acoustic genres.

You've gotten really REALLY good at your trance production. The bass goes great and the soft melody is well constructed
Loved the trippy sound effects as well!
Definately a fav
I think you did outdo yourself in a good way
Well done
