Hi Dale, This is very pleasant to listen to.
Accomplished guitar playing with tight harmonies.
Sound is a bit mushy obviously because it is taken from an old cassette but remarkable considering.
Your voice is better than a lot I've heard so no worries there.
This guitar player sounds like Gary Moore a bit well the same type of sound, distorted and delay.
Great song get rec ording a new version with new gear and it would be top notch........well done.......dylanthermos(Wales)
Really very nice guitar work with the effects and all.
Very cool lead work. Wish I could play like that more.
I like the vocals and the overall mix is very good. You can hear everything clearly and its nice to have the vocals out front.
A great vibe.(the collab is insane)it's great to hear this by itself..it can stand on it's own feet..and a perfect tune to underpin expansion...bring back the synth bands of the early eighties!..cool work!..cheers planet :)
Thanks for the review. This tune was intended to be chopped up and added to. If you think you can do something with it, be my guest. Just lemme hear what you come up with.
awesomeness...
just look down at all these reviews, and i would like to take all what was said and add it again!
hmm.. when the vocals kicked it, it opened up, and i really enjoyed that.. i felt that that was missing from the synths, especially the bass.. as i feel they could be as full as that vocal loop...
Yeah, I totally here the retro & asian quality to this. In fact, there were parts of it when I was listening the first time that were remindin me of the soundtrack for Ghostbusters II and various NES & arcade games of the day.
And good lord, Cassette tapes, whatever happened to those, ay? Actually, I'm just kiddin. They still sell 'em at places like Office Max & Wal-mart (I think Wal still does). Course, they also still use the heck out of those micro-cassettes for those non-digital recorders.
As for redoing thing, I hear ya. I've got those urges every now and then with a few of my tracks. And as for this one, there's a small part of it that sounds like the audio was overly compressed (like it was part of the tape that was messin up when it was playing/recording). Okies, couldn't find it on the 3rd go round, but there were sections that seemed dodgy (prolly having to do with the drums or something).
Though for a dated song this is amazingly fresh. Thanks for sharing mate. Later on!
Hey man, thanks for the review! I like the bass in this song, is that the analog subtractor? I also like the sort of effortless guitar or whatever it is at 1:30~. Overall its a really nice smooth track.
I'm lovin da vibe this track gives off. It sounds like a video game soundtrack. Matter a fact, I really would like to play a game with this song as the soundtrack...no lie!!!

cool twist with the 'funky' ellement this track.super hook! i think i've found the title to my next track. "funky ellement" you will be thanked in the liner notes! lol.
peace,

You are right about this tune taking you somewhere else. Could easily be music for a battle scene in a desert, or futeristic sci-fi....wherever the imagination takes you. This is the sheer craftsmanship of this track, sounds blending together causing the listener to go places. Immensly enjoyable and gets my vote.
