the arrangement could have been better...
the lyrics go out of tune sometimes...
also u could have added some heavier drops.
nice try though

I wanted to keep the arrangement of the original track and make all of the sounds fit that.

I like your track but I wanted to hear more dubstep sounds in drop. Still good work on this one :D

Thanks! I was trying to keep the feel of it close to the original and let the vocals stand out instead of covering them up.

at the beginning it almost had a fife and drum sort of revolutionary war military sound! interesting use of repetition and good steady build. you hold the interest well. neat concept. congrats!

Even though it is electronic in nature it has a very organic feel to it, a bit tribal even. Cool track.

nice one, as it all for me, good start and then just so steady all the way through but with some neat changes keeping it interesting all the way through, just a brilliant use of loops and you own stamp on them.
Best wishes,

Mark

Yo.

This is pretty cool stuff. I still haven't gone and checked out the original loops but I like the flutey sounding one that kicks things off. Actually, I don't like it much out on its own but it sounds good when it has some low end behind it.

0:28 is where things get going for me. Great simple notes and lots of space to let them ring out. This sounds totally different to Spivkurl's track, which I think is excellent.

2:04 new percussive loop is effective as this is a fairly repetitive track so it's interesting listening out for the new elements you bring in.

2:33 is that chugging guitar? Maybe not but the tone reminds me of chugging, palm muted, distorted guitar. And then you change the processing on it so that by 3:05 it definitely sounds like a guitar part.

3:49 some fun filtering.

I prefer stuff that's not quite so repetitive but all your elements are good and you work them skilfully.

Congrats!

Hey StaticNomad,
Thanks for the review!
Had fun making this one.

0:28: I'm really pleased at the way that synth sounds when it enters.

2:04: That's actually a plate break sound effect that I threw in just for kicks.

2:33: That is indeed chugging guitar in the background. I had a loop lying around that I repitched. What you actually hear in the high part that sounds like a guitar is that piano loop repitched and effected.

3:49: Filtered guitar is actually one of my all time favorite sounds, especially if the cutoff changes.

Thanks again for the review! I appreciate it.

:D Nice use of provided loops. I used that Screams from the other side in a short halloween video, barely reconisable here haha :D

This is nice, it's slow, but still maintains an aggressive edge. Very cool loop sampling work throughout! That lo fi percussion that comes into my right ear after the 2 minute mark sounds awesome, goes right inside! Stylish and classic sounding! Love it! Fave!

good job. there's some filtering and processing on loops so I can only recognize only that ambient 'scream from the other side' one. kind of minimal-electro-industrial track which is nice. I did not expect using that loop as actual melodic phrase but you did it very well. again nice work on well made track. Alex

Interesting track you have came up with here. I like it and have never heard anything quite like this, which is always a great thing. Like others said, the only thing I would probably change is the tempo. You should put an automation clip on the tempo, that way it starts out slow and eventually speeds up. Even though it stands pretty darn well as it, nice work!

Seems like you have a lot of different sounds going on from both sides of the spectrum. I really dig this song the only exception I have is that I def think this needs a tempo change. Nice job man

Excellent noise sound along the first part... Im courious about that.... Too bad you leave it and the second part seems to turn into something else... But still very nice production overall. Nice ending too - unexpected!

Odd choice of sounds. Works really well though, has a bit of retro feel to it for some reason. Sounds like a theme to a industrial like city. Like the dubstep wub later around the 2 min mark. Really creative production, digs it. peace

Yeah, some of the sounds were actually inspired by sounds I heard at a factory where I worked for a while. Thanks for the feedback.

Fruity Slayer! lol Nice work for a first timer! Better than mine haha So you have a decent structure to start, it's a little muddy in some places to echo Peril94s comment. You will learn more with practice and if you need any help some of us are willing, feel free to PM me. Keep messing with everything and good luck!
