Well as you know i'm not a fan of Christmas but this is solid. I don't have a clue how you make those type of sounds so kudos for your synth work. This is a really enjoyable track and probably the best xmas song I've ever heard. I like the way it swings from dubstep to trance.
This is a very clever track and I like it.

Ok, Kevin. First of all, I generally don't like it when people mess with traditional arrangements of Christmas music. Although I do listen to Skrillex and some other dubstep producers, I have a limited tolerance for their stuff, largely because it is very demanding music and there's no way I am creative enough to make stuff like that. So, I was operating more on curiosity than interest when I listen to this track. Boy was I surprised! I really like it! Very creative treatment. My wife would hate it, but I thought it was great. Very nice transition from style to style and a really excellent ending. I liked the tempo changes you used. I haven't learned how to program that in my DAW yet. Is there any chance you could do another Christmas track for us before the 25th? You have got something really unique here and it's now on my iPhone for heavy rotation during the remainder of December! :)

Right now I am working on holly jolly Christmas . You are the first person that mentioned the tempo changes and man were they a pain in the butt to incorporate into the song. Because the original is so slow I had to somehow make it work with the usuall dubstep bpm . Thanks so much for your comment I really do appreciate it. Thanks.

Very dramatic intro, I really like it. I think you should made the build up more powerful and energetic, it's very important in dubstep. Drop is nicely done too. Overall, very good track, keep it up, you're doing it great ;)

I loved this song growing up, still do, and i have to say this is incredible. Amazing remix. But i do agree with ant4505 that at those points its cut out a little too much. Other than that, keep it up!

Pretty nice sounds here. I like your tune. the only thing I could say "negative" is the 0:59 at 1:10 and the 2:51 at 2:53 cut too much the rythm of the track ( have too much volume difference)bref its look like 2 others "intro" I means you could use that as intro.

Livingsoulsdie replied 4th Dec 2014 - 10 years ago
I changed it up purposely on because I really don't like hearing the same thing looped over and over again. I know the volume may be a little higher on the back end of this track. That just shows how much of a novice I am at mixing. Thanks man!

this sounds awesome!, love the peacefulness around 38 seconds then how in your face the drop is lol, yeah man im felling this!

Keep at it, from where the preview ends, (if i were u) i would repeat the drop again with a few changes, then have those peaceful bells again then a build into a big final chorus. But hey thats just my opinion lol

Good luck with the track dude! :D

You have a nice intro and exit. I assume you plan to continue with a vocal overlay or a melody instrument? I thought ValVedriVer gave some interesting suggestions.

This may be an odd suggestion, as it's more on the creative spectrum than the technical. But what might be really neat for this piece, would be to add a conversation taking place. Either over the phone, oraybe a shortwave radio. I don't know. Just a thought.

Take care just the same.

nice work. I like the piano and drums cause they are loops. Nice strings, synths and whatnot you've added. Funky bass was really good choice as well.
I enjoyed the production. Alex

great synthwork at the begining with some nice powerful drums. The melodies are excellent and it's really intricate in its glitchyness. Cool sellection of synths and a really groovy vibe.
I seem to always be impressed when i hit your page and this is no exception.
Really well written piece.

You're pretty good at this, man. So far, I've liked everything you've put up. This is a pretty uplifting tune. Generally I steer more towards the darker side, but I still really liked this. I don't know anything about the whole Glitch genre, but this did have a very dubstep flow to it. Maybe because that's what you excel in? Who knows? Either way. I liked it, man.

Take care.

Yeah man this is an extremely well produced track !
I totally dig the similarities to a few classic horror themes. Also love the "cha cha, ah ah's" !!! The dub elements are nicely done too, not too over the top. Great job LSD !!!
