Wow. I don't really know if I could do anything near as good just using 3 loops, a mic, and some effects. Really reminds me of Rammstein the way the whole track comes together. Well done yet again.

Hello D3RELICT

This is a realy realy gentle comment.
Thankyou very much for the friendly words.
And i am sure you would wonder what you can do with 3 samples, a mic, and the only rule is -use it in any way :)

It´s maybe a little to lazy or groovy for rammstein or?

hi Joe, I really enjoyed what you did with these loops! Agree with the comments below - this bass groove that you've created is funky and extremely energetic. A bit of an industrial athmosphere in the background (I like that!) and interesting story behind it. Creative and unique. Alex

You could take this Music 2 or 3 different ways, the notes the bass is playing
are blue notes, they fit the blues groove but it's also what you say and how you say it...
This could get FUNKED UP...With the right flavour of guitars and synths..
Or put a Hard Core Rock Guitar Drop on it and take it that way....
Or slick it down with a jazzy deep reverb guitar...

There are a lot of formulas that could fit the bill, in those styles
it just depends on where your heart feels comfortable....

Very cool track Man...

Peace...TG.

A cool jamming, distroyed guitar with a deep reverb and echo, anywhere in the background telling the same stroy in a kind of a second voice ...... that would be nice.

Feel free to play it by yourself TG.
If you found any cool that fits - tell me :)

maybe i take it as a - post industrial wave blues

Nice to hear that you found it cool

You sure you didn't work on this while sleepwalking too? hahaha That bass line is hyptnotic, going to hear that in my sleep! Industrial Blues :D That's a mix I like :p I like that effect on your voice, I'm doing a dreamy one as well (one of many projects in the works), maybe I'll use a similar effect. Even at work I'm thinking of ideas, stories, lyrics, whatever needed for my tracks :D I find it to be the best place to make up stories.

hey Joe, very cool. I really like what you did with your loops, I checked them and really you did a great job here. There was a glitchy one, some orchestral hit and the bluesy guitar groove which is a kind of a main foundation of your track I guess. I like the vocal echo or quasi canon effect and some interesting processing on loops. It sounds a bit like a folk tune to me with these vocals. Nice work on songwriting. Alex

Hello Alex

What a friendly comment.
After cutting the guitarloop so the way that i like the groove , everything went much easyer. So you are right, this guitarloop was/is important for the track. The words realy did come into me mind while working on the music. So i could say - after the first cuttings of the guitar, all was in a way just clear, easy and pure fun to do.

Like mostly i enjoy your comment and youre friendly words about the vocals.

This folksong thing that you hear ... mmmm .... i think i must listen to the track again to check that out :)

Thanks for your time and comment

Great work Joe. Your voice does sound quite a bit like Iggy Pop, and that's a great big compliment for sure. Like SJ suggested, the vox just need a little bit of reverb and placed a bit farther back in the mix. Other than that small critique, I wouldn't change a thing. Well done Joe, really well done. I hope all is well.

Thanks Bear for this nice comment.
I hoped that you like it, `cause it´s your music.

I made a little update with some more reverb over the voxs. And a few little changes on the levels and so but not sure :) like mostly :) about the result ...... itz much more easy to say "a bit farther back" then to do (for me)

Hope i didnt change it to the bader, if, tell me and i reupload the old version :)

hi, I like the special colour you achieved here and some old-styled manner in your voice. This is very nice. Is it inspired by some specific songs or style?
Anyway I really enjoyed your song - I had that impression something was missing on this competition track and you filled it up very well.

Hey Alex

I am happy that you enjoyed the listen and found it nice.

No, this isnt inspired by someone special. In fakt it is realy made just for (or maybe by) this minimal master of SMB´s track that i made. I had the words already in my mind when i done the last version of the mastering comp.

Cool to hear that you believe that this filled the comp track very well.

Hahaha! This is great!
It has this slippery, smoshy feeling over the lyris and all over your voice - as there should be in a love song.

I think your vox could benefit from having a little more distance, at the moment it's very close to the ear somehow. Maybe a touch of reverb and delay and maybe layering it a few times also in between the chorus.

The instrumental it self is one of my favourites here.

Cheers!
/ SJ =)

And you are right, i am not 100% happy with the vox.

Hahaha Zombie folk song :D The creativity is endless here, that's why I love Looperman :D Stupid humans!! See Zombies are smarter than us, and they're writing songs about it! Maybe they'll stop eating us, don't they know all the garbage food we eat?? Or maybe our brains just taste too good :p
joecramer
joecramer replied 2nd Nov 2014 - 11 years ago
Ahhhh Humans, mmm jammy. You know that thees zombies started just as "normal" zombies. Dark, dangerous, mindless, on the search for food, flesh, brains. They eat all they can get. Kill and eat and if not eat, transform the victim into a zombie. But then they start getting minded. They got the controll. They take the towns and industrys and so on. Humans must liv in the nature. Hide themselfs and fall back into stoneage and get very healthy as food.

I wouldnd wonder if "the thinking zombie" will eat a human leg, that he buyed at the lokal supermarket, while he gives a concert. And because he is famous and rich he buyed -freeland humanflesh- and not just cheap -caged humanflesh- and next he will get some real good -wild humanflesh- ...
assholes! Will not be easy to do something against this freaks :)

Hey Ed,

nice to hear that i put a smile on your face.
That´s wherefor i done it.

Your samples are exelent. I realy tryed to play almost something same on my own guitar but i failed at the F (i´m a real bad chord player) and after a few trys and went to loopermans search and found them - wow realy the same row i wanted to play and with a bassline - and so well played in almost the same style i tryed befor ......

So it was a great pleasure for me to sing to them.

And the voice :) - how knows - maybe i am a zombie and i didnd pitched down?

Very impressive effort you've made here! To me, this has a very minimal techno vibe to it. With just some subtle changes throughout, it would sound more finished and enticing, but I love it as is. The stereo toms are quite impressive, and I can hear why they were inspiring to you. I also like renewing quite old songs as something new and different, so I see where you are coming from. Very hypnotic and enjoyable electronic song, and your voice is quite good! Keep at it! Fave!

This is (just) a real raw file. Often i like this raw things more then the finished work. Thats one of the reason why i need so long to do things new :)
