Pretty cool mix you made here! I like the chopped vibe you managed to induce. I guess funk is not amongst my favorite genres, and Daft Punk is definitely not in my top 100 (heh), but I can totally hear your creativity and ingenuity in this mix. I will admit to not listening as closely as I should have, but I enjoyed it as music for thought. Keep at it!
Yeah, man! This is a great mix! It was a funky beast before. It does have a sort of Daft Punk thing goin' on. The production quality is top notch, too. The composition is good, and you totally made it your own without wrecking Mr. Funktastic's groovy-ass ride.
Hey, thnx so much ValVe! Srry for the late reply, been crazy busy. The original material was too sweet even for me to wreck, lol. Other than that, I threw in my 2 cents and let it ride! haha
Really well done composition you have here RenzWilde . kind of reminds me of the style from mega duo Daft Punk in this one. Very good quality and excellent transitions. congrats on the outcome!!! -EazyBeatz-
Man, the Daft Punk comment is a huge compliment to me! My favorite album of theirs is Discovery. I tell ya, I must of listened to that album a thousand times. And watched the film Interstella 5555 just as many times. I dont try to duplicate them but their style, especially from that album, definitely has creeped it's way into what I do. I had a lot of fun with this one but I tried not to ruin the original too much, lol.
Thnx again for dropping in for a listen and the kind words! :)
hi Renz, this is very fine remix - I am a fan of the original song but still it is not my favourite one from Spivkurl's album. I really like some old-stylish synthesizer you've added.
Inspiring! Maybe I will try this epic tune as well!
Alex
Very interesting agressive style you've created here, which fits the samples well. Like FR, I would've liked to here a longer version, especially with some twists and turns, but I see why you left it this way... seems more like a cinematic interlude sort of piece rather than, say, a pop song. I still may get in on this LZA thing, but I have to be prepared, as it will involve a couple photo shoots and some live recording... and has already given me the pressure I needed to rearrange the studio. You do good stuff! Fave!
Hi man, I just listened to all your tracks and I really liked what I heard, took me right back to the 80's (when I was DJing). Very Nitzer Ebb in places, right up my street. I think you're going to like some of mine that are coming up soon (damn that 24 hour limit, lol) I'd love to do a collab some day, I reckon we'd work well together. Keep up the good work mate :)
I like this. I like the minimalist thing. I think it takes a little more effort to make so little sound so good for such a duration.
Anyone can play tetris with sounds and cram a bunch of things in to fill all of the spaces ever, and call it a good tune. Well, okay, not anyone, but you know what I mean.
Speaking from my own personal experiences, I start out making something minimal and simple, and by the time I'm done, it's full of crash cymbals, double kicks, risers, impacts and all kinds of other things.
So, I totally dig what you've done here. I know it's not easy to apply the whole "less is more" concept in music.
How's it going Valve? Good to hear from you and glad you gave my track a listen. I've always appreciated your feedback.
I'm glad you liked the track. Even without your explanation, I know how much you can cram into a track. But that's a good thing cause you can make it rock or get trippy. I've heard both from you. So for you to appreciate this means a lot.
The heavy work here was done by MrRobot in his loop but like you said, I applied the 'less is more' which I like to do. I dont limit myself to that concept but it's something I'm a fan of and enjoy listening to so it's natural that I'll lean that way. But even minimal takes some work to produce. I put some work into this, damnit!! LOL
Pretty cool effort here! It's style is definitely not my usual listening preference, but I can here the creativity and focus within. I like the sound quality and frequency range very much. I guess, like StaticNomad, I enjoy more variation in songs I listen to... though I would admit to being into a different kind of variation from SN. Towards the end it got more exciting for me, so that's a good thing. I like to hear you trying some different things, and I will definitely keep listening!
Thx for the listen Pat. You already know how much I respect your opinion so I wont repeat it. In this track, I stayed true to my intent which was to make the original loop carry the track. I had a clear idea what I wanted to do and I'm happy with it. Glad you noticed the sound and frequency range. I tried a few different things in the mixdown and mastering and I'm happy with that too. Always room for improvement though :)Cheers!
First of all what is LZA? Nice siren and synth bass to get us started and now it's all gone a bit techno sounding. Great pads and effects going on here. I like the filtered effect on the bassline and the big growl samples. I would have liked it to go on for a bit longer but hey ho! Nice track!

The LZA (Looperman Zombie Apocalypse) The idea Phatkatz came up with. I thought it was a really fun concept so I made 2 tracks to add my 2 cents. Thx for the listen friend!

The vocals give it this real sic creepy vibe. The synth work is superb. I'd bang this track in my ride any day of the week.
