Another 'ocean of emotion' my disciple of the keys.
Some very soul searching minimal piano which sounds great on here with the superb production and the drums, are they Eds?
The acoustic guitar is so delightful and colours the journey, and its one of my favourite of your journeys.
There is a little drum offbeat at 4:18 which threw me a little but apart from that congrats on another masterclass.
Some very generous words here....thank you so much !:)
Yup, you got it right , Ed is the drummer since the drums for Orlando are like garlic for vampires..:)
Really glad you liked the piano and production cause I'm responsible for both and ofcourse it's more than obvious
who is the master on the exquisite guitar...:)
Oh, yeah...that slight offbeat....Ed was taking another beer...haha...
Ahhhh, that guitar totally stole me away. This is seriously beautiful! I really like the way Ed played that acoustic because it compliments the music so perfectly! Your mixing is flawless. Wide, airy pads. The piano sounded a bit 80's to me and felt a tad out of place (at least when it was played on its own) in some parts. However, the greater majority of it blended nicely. Great work! Glad to see you two tearing it up together :)
I'm almost sure you have in mind particularly that part of piano which runs from 2:18 to 2:32....believe it or not I deliberately wanted that kind of sound (although clearly expecting some people won't like it) in order to make a certain contrast and if you ask me I stand by that decision.:) But I have to admit you have really good ears
and sense for recognizing styles. It really was 80's sound
and that I was aware of from the start..:) Anyway, many thanks for your honest and friendly review which is much
appreciated !:)
I faved this yesterday but seem to have not posted the comment I made. This is a beautiful piece of music. Do you put your stuff in a library or index kind of thing for selling to film companies advertisers etc? I have a friend who does it with photography. The reason I ask is it's all very well giving us the Privilege and the pleasure but it deserves a much wider audience.
So good to hear from you after quite a long time ! Thanks alot for your positive thoughts on this one and for the fav! No, I don't put my music into any of that kind of things for now, but I'm aware of those sorts of oportunities and who knows what the future might bring....:)
We don't have a "spring" to speak of here in sunny Florida but I used this to transport me back to a chilly and windy New England day. A very nice piece of music, kudos to both of you!
I do appreciate any percussion you used, works well here as do the strings, they tear at the heart. The piano is straight forward at first then at the end plays some fills that makes me shout MORE! Ed's acoustic sounds nice and it goes so well with this overall positive feel of renewal.
Combined or by yourselves, you guys are some talented folks!
clap clap clap!!!! That was a beautiful piece. You guys did an awesome job on this. Love the vibe, the strings, the beat,... The enjoyed the panning and the other edits too.
Drums are there just for you my friend...haha...As always thanks alot for more than generous words and for the fav ofcourse...means the world and half of the moon..:-)
This song is really pleasant
A beautiful, dreamy, melodic in a wonderfully vast landscape .....
I'm going Outside and lie down in the sun.
Really very relaxing what you have delivered here.
exellente cooperation.
as always - I enjoy your music listening
Hey Joe...always a pleasure !:) I'm really honoured if
you're up to accompany this thing with your sunny day experience !:) Have a good time my friend ...:)
Very epic sound you created with the pad/guitar/string combo. The intro feels almost like cinematic music. Then when the percussion comes in it really gets the story going. The guitarskills from Ed really are pointed out well here and the fact that the teamwork delivered once again must be really satisfying for the both of you. Congrats!
Hi my friend...always good to hear from you!:) Yes, it was really a nice experience and I'm very glad for your very positive coment and ofcourse many thanks for the fav...means alot!:)
Sorry Yogesh but this is not a place for self-promotion !

First and foremost you got a fav from me. Why. The song itself is beautiful , always changing, the percussion was great , interesting array of sounds mixed really well.Ed's guitar is sublime as always. You are very good at those subtle pads and strings you place quietly in the back of the mix and then bring them forward when you want to make your point. Nice sounding Piano. Well Done my friend, well done I loved it all.
Steve
First and foremost thanks alot for the fav...means the world!:) I'm really glad you liked all those aspects of the song and I truly appreciate your friendly feedback !
You know I dig this...that always seems to be the case when I listen to music by Orlando...and its always an honour to be in your musical company my friend....bravo.....big fav....Ed
I have well learned that getting a fav from maestro Tumbleweed is not an easy achievement, so I can be sure and calm that I did ok this time ! It's my huge pleasure knowing that I was able to satisfy your high standards. It's very hard to repeat such level again and again, but at least I always try... However I'm sharing this fav with you cause what i did it could not have been done without you and your friendly support....Thank you so much my friend !:)
Well, I will provide the information for my biggest fan with pleasure..:)...Three synths were used here : CrX4,
Lush-101 and Alchemy, but I didn't use any exact presets!
I tweaked the sound for the pads myself so I really can't
give you the names cause they don't exist...:)
Amyways, many thanks for listening, commenting and the 'fav' !
its got the whole high mountain vibe Orlando...with the sky floating by and the mystics in the valley below beneath the light mist that floats over the valleys...great stuff...much enjoyed though I am very late here this time..this was a fine tonic this evening...Ed
Hey, hey Ed...seems like you've been away for ages...
Welcome back !:) Well yeah, I did some obvious ambient/cinematic stuff again to bore my listeners even more...haha...However, as always my thanks and appreciation for your supportive words, my friend ! I'm a bit on a tight schedules lately so my next projects (including your material) will have to wait a bit. Cya around soon!
The magic is almost all of your tracks and that counts for this one as well. You created soem great atmpshere again and Im getting cold already. Maybe this song fits well when its 30 degrees outside. It will cool me down for sure :p. In teh 2nd part you really increase the creaminess which deepens the track even more. Well done, just well done!
Man, you're worlds better with the V.I.s than myself. Rather impressed with the feeling you were portraying. Something daunting in the air. The vocal sounding stuff was a surprise. Nice swells and fades. Impressive. Sounds professional.
