Interesting stuff mate. I can really picture the description of this (would make for a really cool vid too, me thinks... with a bunch footage from the 20s & 30s). In fact, I think this is deserving of some video accompaniment. Would make for a really interesting show, especially if ya did it in the old silent movie style (dialog cards and jittery frame rate out of the projector, throw in the occasional scratch or burn for good measure too). Music-wise, can't really think of anything. Well, besides offering up a few lulls and isolated instrument areas. Lates!
