Description : Made this for a rapper but he didn't like it and scorned me for it, so I need your feedback on this one. I thought I made a quality lofi track from scratch but he thought otherwise.
Edit: added a jazz guitar bassline. I kinda f**ked up my mixing and I can't find out how to get it back so it sounds like it went through a tubedrive. Will fix later due to frustration, lol

Better with bass, needs vocals now to be finished. FL studio great DAW im thinking about upgrading mine. I dont know exactly what makes a song lofi its possible dude didnt know either.
Thanks for the feedback. He was probably trolling me anyways, he was never respectful in any email and if he didn't like it I told him to say it wasn't his style.
He just called it straight trash however, its okay though.
I dont go looking for vocals normally. I let people make their way to me. I'm not making music for it to be rapped on anyways.
Dear Friend, the lo-fi genre is not my favorite, I am obsessed with perfect and crystal clear sounds. Having said that, however, your track is pleasant to hear, crossed by a certain vintage melancholy that reminds me of certain pieces by the Clusters, a German Krautrock group from the 70s who made great music. I never stop to think with what means, tools or software a piece was made. What matters to me is only the result. For example, to compose I use a very strange system: I create all the sound material with a synth installed on my cell phone and called Heat Synthesizer, with which I manage to obtain very suggestive sounds. I then edit and edit the mix on PC using very low cost applications. My goal is to demonstrate that it is possible to make quality music with very simple means and very low costs. My speech is to say that I think anyone should make music in the way that is most congenial to him without listening to destructive criticism, so friend, go on like this. Best wishes
Thanks for the feedback. I've tried making beats using my phone, but garageband is just so hard to use on an iphone. Great to see that someone can still make great music on their phone.
Man..i think it's a good track unique in it's own way.. Take the criticism on board in terms of learning and growing but there's no place for haters i tell ya..
don't take it too personally and let it get to ya brother..stay positive..
Nice mellow vibe..cool track,as far as the Fl topic goes...who care's..a sample is a sample, regardless of what daw that's being used..even coming from a outboard keyboard like a Motif or something, it's still a sample.Pro tools, Studio One,or whatever, does not make it sound any different. It's all about the workflow, and what you feel comfortable using.
I don't know about lo-fi using 808s. It needs sub for sure, but 808s dont really fit the picture. Could you send an example of a lofi track with 808s? thanks
what exactly did he say about this? seems to be put together well, captures the whole lofi feel,
fl studio is just as powerful as the next daw, countless hits been made from fl ,ive never understood the whole mindset behind it,an artist wouldnt care if the beat was made in fl or any other daw,its only fellow prods that usually have the issue lol,but at the end of the day theyre not the ones purchasing, recording etc
“ I'm tired of all you shitty looperman producers thinking you ‘fire’ with your shitty fl studio production” - undisclosed user
Well, I deleted his emails that he sent to me so I wouldn’t have to think about them all the time, but they were very negative. The typical “all kids who use fruity loops make trash, no matter what” narrative. I do believe that FL is definitely simpler than other DAWs, but it gets too much hate for it being a good deal for up and coming producers.
Then again, every person that has had a problem with me so far had negative personalities or anger issues. Ex. This guy did a follow up email with 3 hard n-words included.
Oh, and they all had the misconception that I thought I was a top notch producer. Nowhere close. But I’m always working on my craft. Thanks for the feedback.

Description : The guy who ordered this track didn't pay and doesn't respond to my messages.
So I deleted a private link and decided to upload this track here. The quest was to catch the old-school vibe of detectives of the 50s-60s in the track\loop for 30-40 seconds.
Any way job was done. It is recorded fully live on real instruments, about 3 hours of composing and recording.

Description : This is my fifth track to include in my imaginary album "Diverse waves". It is quite different, there are influences from various ways of musical expression. I believe it is better sounding as a Lo Fi piece. I don't quite know, but I felt this way. Hope you will enjoy the listen.
