The piano music is some of the most beautiful piano music I have heard in my life. And the Orchestral part in the middle, while good seems out of place, like it doesn't connect with the piano. Maybe wikkid's suggestion is correct, but it just seems to go from very sparce, delicate and beautiful to a bunch of stuff all at once. Maybe you could add one instrument at a time and carry the piano into it. Slowly build rather than drastic change?
Hi neuromancer56,
Thank you for coming back again!
As you said, especially on the second half of the piano, there could have a chance of adding a single instrument such as flute or strings that embellish melody line. I did not do it, because the comparison between piano solo, orchestration, piano with single instrument seemed odd in A-B-A form within 2:38 short time. I'll try gradually overlay the instruments on another piece next time. Thanks for your advice.
Thank you for this, MasanoriMurabayashi.
Songs always take me on a journey.
I was riding a calm, contemplative wave with the tender sound of the piano keys,
then as the other instruments came rushing in,
I was pulled into a swirl of nostalgia.
Lovely reflective piece of music.
Hi athousandmaris,
What I was concentrated on this tune was tempo. This tune is based on around 74bpm with let 8 bars interval has a little break with sometime around 80ms. To make soloing piano always give me much more effort that I don't know great piano soloist do it on the real stage. Let's have image of the time feel of music goes on the real stage. Thanks for deep intuitive comment. Have a good day!
You have composed a very, very nice piece of music, Masanori. Piano part is really nicely done. I ca see from your comments that you have a good idea of how to approach this kind of music. I will need to read them carefully so that I can learn from you. I can definitely see this being used in a film. Has a "Bridges of Madison County" feel to it. Music in that film was composed by Clint Eastwood.
Hi Eric!
I'd happy to hearing from you that You too are interested in this kind of film music which describes human emotions behind the images on the screen not so interfere the scene of the moment. We sometimes annoy with the feeling that this melody is so strong or not affecting the videos. I saw 'Bridges of Madison country'. Thank you for generous metaphor.
You win! Thanks for melody atmosphere consistency is important. I appreciate two same opinion may reflects there are many people think so. I studied a lot. Great comment!
HI, Jamid
I firstly thought key modulation from Am is to be usual Gm, but there is another choice of minor 3rd interval change which found a lot on film music. Lower chello and Contra bass covers root and 5th, while woodwinds covers 3rd and 7th those every film music composers think of. Next time I'ii try another style. Thanks for listening precisely!
I kinda wished the sparse piano had continued throughout the piece without the orchestra break. Great job with your choice of key and notes for a feeling of melancholy. I did enjoy the descending harp during the full orchestration. Marking this as a fave.
Hi wikkid,
Thanks for listening my tune several times.
As you said, I might have leave sparse piano on the orchestral part for melody consistency. I keep your good advice in my mind. Descending harp were used penta tonic major 6th scale by soundiron Elrysium Harp instrument. So far, I put each midi notes of scales which consumes time. That is good vst instrument includes glissand function. Have a good day!

Ed provided the unfinished, basic track...I composed and recorded the long intro using different synths and then added piano (well to the fore) and some brass arrangements along the rest of the track (no violin this time...hehe) and then did the final mixing to wrap it up as it is presented now. I hope you will enjoy it and we both appreciate your listening time and your valuable comments:) Otherwise all thanks to Ed!

Description : Dark, slow, ambient, cinematic jazz with funereal piano turning into something much funkier, psychedelic and beautiful in the second half. Out of the darkness and into the light, you could say. Instruments: electric guitar + bass, lots of synth sounds, including a horn, double bass, another big legato bass, pizzicato strings, two types of piano, a heavily delayed slide guitar instrument, zither, synth arp, one brushy drum loop, kettle drum rolls and 4 programmed acoustic drum kits. This is quite a special track for me and is only the second I've put in the cinematic genre. The more you listen, the more it changes (it even has key changes) and the last three minutes are really quite far out and should probably be longer. Best track I've made for a few months. Interesting thoughts and reflections appreciated. Free sex for the best reviews...
This track is an elaboration of dgalantic’s track “Starting Over 0172257.” It is almost entirely comprised of loops by other artists on looperman. The newsreel in the intro section is from public domain footage of the Vietnam War. Prince Fatty chimes later in with some words of wisdom. The track was sequenced with Mixtikl and edited in Audacity.
Loops from the following artists are included:
1. ThatJeffCarter’s guitar “feedback 197765”
2. three of Nightingale’s harmonica trills: “angels 0088377, inner light 0088361 and never and never 0088366”
3. Heavily fx’ed vocal excerpts from Eshar’s “7th Dimension 0002644”
4. Dcmack’s rhythm loops “2 bass drums 1- 0085449, 2- 0085446, and 4- 0085448.”
5. Steelyvibe’s choral wash “luno frunezo 0005719”
6. Nightingale’s guitar loop “diving deep 0043488”
7. Rasputin1963’s chorals “ soul ladies gospel riff 0088641 and reggae soul girls choir 0087693”

Description : So a new track for everyone. Im pretty impressed by this one, and would even place it higher than one of my best tracks, Angel And A Demon. However, I'm trying to decide whether or not I should put vocals to it. I have some in mjnd, but idk if itd be better to leave as is and keep it instrumental or not. Take a listen and let me know! Also, let me know if anything is too loud, still working on my mastering.

I love your choice of key with an emerging dark vibe.
The horn and strings complements track really well.
Great job.
