Description : this is a magical sound depicting a gathering of loved ones when at the final hours of life as we know it. I put it to video, but this song was not made for the video. I just saw this video and thought it would be great with my song.

thank you bleep. luckily my mom speaks some french. I only listened to the video you linked me to. Sébastien Tellier seems very eccentric. with beautiful music. the string structure and key are very simular. I love the magical sound that this key (c# minor) brings. I'm just starting to play with different keys and scales.

thank you

I'm back, as promised.

Great, lush stringy pad intro plus some occasional piano chords for the chord changes that are very effective.

1:12 bassier synth enters to add some depth.

1:40 nice swell and rise and then the lovely vocals enter. Heavenly stuff now and some cinematic action drum hits arrive too.

2:06 first proper beat but it's quite far to the back of the mix. Forward might be better but it's not a problem. It doesn't hang around for long as you decide to remove it and go with the drumless vibe again.

Some nice high piano notes are effective in the final section.

I can hear a few slightly noticeable and awkward audio pops in this eg 3:13. Can you hear these? I can give you other time references, if necessary.

3:17 bass hit and then fade to end except it's about 5 seconds too short so appears to be cut off too soon.

Great stuff, very emotive.

That was my proper review...

thank you cru, all the vocals I use are loops. I'm kinda a collector of choral loops. most are from Magix soundpool, looperman, and searching on the internet. I think the most powerful instrument is usually the human voice.
hope that helps

Hi Mindheist.

This is a really powerful piece you've given us. The strings glide in slowly; making us feel solemn, yet serene. The low-end piano hits preempt the build up nicely. Everything is not too saccharine; there is heartache here as well. The following progression drives the point home. Life precedes death and we are now faced with the ever-after...

You earned yourself a couple of tears and a fave.

Thanks.

Ed provided the unfinished, basic track...I composed and recorded the long intro using different synths and then added piano (well to the fore) and some brass arrangements along the rest of the track (no violin this time...hehe) and then did the final mixing to wrap it up as it is presented now. I hope you will enjoy it and we both appreciate your listening time and your valuable comments:) Otherwise all thanks to Ed!

Description : Dark, slow, ambient, cinematic jazz with funereal piano turning into something much funkier, psychedelic and beautiful in the second half. Out of the darkness and into the light, you could say. Instruments: electric guitar + bass, lots of synth sounds, including a horn, double bass, another big legato bass, pizzicato strings, two types of piano, a heavily delayed slide guitar instrument, zither, synth arp, one brushy drum loop, kettle drum rolls and 4 programmed acoustic drum kits. This is quite a special track for me and is only the second I've put in the cinematic genre. The more you listen, the more it changes (it even has key changes) and the last three minutes are really quite far out and should probably be longer. Best track I've made for a few months. Interesting thoughts and reflections appreciated. Free sex for the best reviews...
