Man, this is nice, PDM! I have the two most popular versions of this song in my music collection, and you did a great jazzy version of it...Good job and hope to hear more like it.
Ah, really nice version of this song. My mom and dad used to listen to Andy Williams sing this one over and over, dancing along cheek to cheek. I used to play trombone to the Henry Mancini/Johnny Mercer version when I was a wee lad, haha.
Really took me down memory lane. You have great chops on several different instruments - a musician's musician for sure.
This one got my day off to a great start. Beautiful work from start to finish. Thanks for sharing. I hope all is well.
Thanks for the kind words. I think we may share the same decades. As far as being able to play multiple instruments. I would like to claim I do. But the keyboard is the only instrument I play. Thank goodness for VSTs to provide the sounds I need.-Thank you PDMuzak
ah yes...originally an old Percy Faith orchestra number I think?...you really have put a great jazzy spin on the theme (that low-tuned guitar is great stuff)...being an old guy who cut his youthful guitar teeth on instrumental tunes by the likes of The Ventures and similar groups you know I am no stranger to this one...This one would have been a hit on my radio any decade Pat...some of those old songs that stick in your head over the years never really get old...we just change the way we hear them...a wonderful tribute and I can tell you did this one with a lot of thought and patience and I hear the careful work you did on the details...sorry for your loss my friend...it is part of the journey that those of us fortunate enough to stick around for enough years have to experiance...and honour....well done.....Ed
Wonderful track... this is an instant classic.
This is so sweet and sad at the same time: a beautiful tribute to your parents.
We should never forget the ones we love, they will always stays with us.
The arrangement is really perfect: you have a lot of layers of sound working perfectly all together. I imagine this was not easy to mix and you did a wonderful job.
Thanks for the kind words. My folks have been gone since 03/04. And this was a tribute to their generation. My music style does vary. I'm going to try to get into more space / Jazz later

Description : I first discovered the iconic singer Ella Fitzgerald through my parents, my mother who was a renowned vocalist herself had a deep appreciation for the music of legendary artists. I was too young but captivated by the soulful jazz melodies that filled our home on lazy Sunday afternoons. "Summertime" Exudes a timeless touch of elegance it has a special place in my heart. I just put together some old ideas to see if it will work. Some vocals and brass, or guitars is clearly needed. Let me know what you think about it. Tnx
Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...
Description : This is track me and my friend (great jazz, blues musician) done
around this great vocal we acquired.
Lot of hours in it.
I had great fun making it!
Hope you people like it.
Love and peace.
Description : I think it's a late evening song to accompany you for a single drink.
Jazzy in most of the aspects. It is made single handedly so please consider it an experimentation for the thrill of making music.
Hope you will like it.
Description : This track made me just stop working on it and listen to it for enjoyment.
Smooth Mellow funky Jazz. Uses: 0111003-djrumplestiltskin-swung-funk-drum-beat, 0087009-mrroads442-guitar-line, 0072485-michiel555-mellow-funk, 0058934-ferryterry-90-bpm-soprano-sax. Is this Funk or Jazz?
Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : Something a bit different from us. I (Bobo) played guitar, synth, midi bass and percs to this piano loop by LM's most excellent Rasputin. Wataya, stoned as usual, thought he heard Barbara Streisand singing. This is the result.
Description : I created a hip hop groove in Logic and decided to duel some Saxophones. I am playing the Baritone sax on the left pan and the Tenor Sax on the right pan.
I added some bells like a boxing match bell to give it a fight drama feel. The hip hop track itself is dope to me. The duel is cool too. Who won?
Cheers,
Scott
