This is a nice eye opener! The song is composed really well, nice breaks and lots to keep me interested. Liked the way you ended to with the beat coming back in. Soothing, uplifting, peaceful and calming, nice one!

Really nice chill out track, hope you find some good vocals for it but if not, it's pretty fine without!

Ahh... an acoustic track - I like it a lot!
NIce flutes and all background sounds.
Very chill and relaxing kind of music not only a backing track.
Good work!

Thank you Mosaic.

Totally contemplating the "without vocals" route as well.
Thinking about bringing in some more power at the end to close it out. We'll see. Thanks for stopping in and taking the time to comment.

This is good.

I like the melody and tone of the fake chiming guitars at the start but their timing makes them sound quite synthetic. If you could quantise them a bit to give them a looser feel, I think that might help a lot.

That lack of groove from the fake guitars continues throughout the track and they are the main backbone of the track. I still like them but know they could be better.

0:32 when the reverbed shaker comes in drives things forward nicely. It just is a good, solid groove and at my kind of tempo.

0:43 those synth aahs are cool.

1:22 little break is goodd before the flute enters, which I also like.

Ah, lots of stops in this one. It's kind of what youre doing instead of drum fills.

Overall, this has a bright, uplifting and positive fairly deep sort of sound.

I think you've left enough space for vocals. Another way of looking at it is that there could be a bit more going on musically after about 2:08 to keep things interesting (if it stays as an instrumental).

But, if you have vocals, you won't need to do anymore as the music will be quite busy enough once those vocals are in place.

Nomad - i don't know what to say. This is excellent feedback.
Nice idea with the guitars. I'll see what I can do about that synthetic sound.

I couldn't agree with you more in terms of it just being instrumental. If I were to keep it that way, then yes, more sounds to punch after the 2:08 mark.

As for the vocals - I am eagerly awaiting. :)

Thank you for taking to time to share your thoughts.

Beautiful, warm and relaxing. Takes me back to the carefree days when you did not have to pay any bills.
Loved it when the 'ahhs' kick in at 0.43. You've given room for both horns and flutes to breath on their own. Anything with flutes and I'm in. :)
Well done MM. Faved! - B

Sounds great. Very chill. This just needs the right vocals to bring it home. Luv to hear this finished with vocals. I'm a big fan of female vocals. This track is crying out for them. Whatever vocals you choose will be fine I'm sure, but I am very biased towards female vocals :)

Good luck

Written in Cubase with live guitar and keys etc. The sound of the sea and birds was recorded on the beach where I used to live. After moving to the city one sunny day I was telling stories to a friend about living by the sea and started making this track.

Description : I used some new "Anthem" pickups from L.R. Baggs on my Martin acoustic to see how it performed, and it definitely beat my expectations. Captured the sound perfectly as I needed.

Anyhoo, this song is almost a prayer, hence the repetitiveness of the verses. As Christians, we believe that God will one day return and take away every suffering and all evil for good; in that regard, this song is almost one of waiting too. Very simple, with vocal harmonies and whatnot. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. Made in 13 hours.

Someone else wrote the words, I was just inspired to use them. I only added the "Yeah" and "Amen."

Description : So a guy buys a nice guitar at a pawn shop but returns it a few days later after waking from a sound sleep to hear it playing by itself. When he tells of his experience he is shocked to learn the owner had actually died while playing it. Is it fantasy or truth? Is the guitar in this track that very same guitar? Its all part of the mystery and fun of Halloween !
EDIT: modified ending to a deeper voice

Description : A progressive journey incorporating deep ambient chillout, swing jazz, hip hop, d'n'b, trance and a slight touch of acid with a thousand ninjas battling in space. Features a great deal of my lead slide resonator guitar playing. Also a whole load of synths, programmed acoustic drum kits and manipulated drum loops, big basslines, regular electric guitar, vocoded guitar parts and bass guitar (distorted right at the end). If you like deep chill, far out soaring beauty, fat beats and 170 BPM uplifting slide trance controlled mayhem, you might just get into this. In my heaven there is an endless supply of honey mangoes (an exquisite beauty of the fruit world) and even more slide guitar. A 1,000-year-long version of this track plays there on a loop (long enough not to get bored of it) but here I offer you the Earthly 11 min version. You must be very good to be accepted into my heaven to hear the full thousand year version so best start now. It may be heaven's main theme tune but it's not above criticism so feel free to let me know what you think of it. Maybe you prefer the soundtrack in hell. I hear it's pretty badass...

Absolutely fantastic vocals from her.
