Hi, I'm not able to listen to the track again right now but will do so tomorrow - partly just to hear that new ending.

Sometimes, when I point out a problem in a track, I wonder if the producer is perhaps already aware of it but has just not yet got round to fixing it.

I sometimes make changes to tracks I post though I do work hard to make them as good as I can before putting them online.

I've heard a lot of not very good fade out endings to tracks on this site and sometimes wonder if the producer is still working on a better ending but just did not say so in the track description.
Well done again with this catchy track.

Hi StaticNomad,
totaly agree, but there is an internal fight inside of me between 'put the track online and go to the next one' and 'Spend some more time to bring it up to 100$'.

In most cases I follow the Upload-Voice. Main reason for this : Me and mastering are not the best friends. I still think a good mix it's rocket sience ( and I am sure it is ).
I got a good equipment (hopefuly) but I need to learn some more details. As more I fiddle as more I am not confident with them. It's still a 'random process' for me :(
greetings

Everyone's already made the main points. Here are some more:

I like the drums as they come in.

Good ride and a bit of a dubstep snare.

Then you've got two kits going (I think) - one panned left, one right. Definitely a powerful, layered drum sound. Not sure if they might be better not so far apart in the stereo spectrum (very minor point).

They're good, catchy vocals.

I like the twiddly guitar in that first break and the movement of the bass underneath. Some of what's going on there reminds me a bit of some of my stuff.

Second breakdown brings synths more to the fore rather than guitar so that's good variation and makes each breakdown distinctive. Then that second one builds up nicely with the drums.

It doesn't really remind me of Duran Duran.

Finally, my only real complaint is the ending. Longer fadeout, please...

Good work!

Hi Static Nomand,
thx for leaving some words..
The short fadeout was bad, I have changed that.

Superb! Loved!
The vocals are good, and you really created the perfect environment for them.
It reminds me a bit of the early Duran: and coming from me, this is a huge compliment.
I am just missing the bass of John Taylor ;-)
Ciao, Domenico

Hi Domenico,
comparison to DuranDuran I understand as a big big compliment.

Guten Tag Prelude,
I adjusted the voice a bit, cause I feel the same after hear the song once again ... there are some other things which needs ( and will be ) changed e.g. longer fade out like staticnomand mentioned and the immediatly stoping guitar solo !
mach's gut mach's Megapaul !

Hi JacVanBee. Very glad that you like my version.
Once again ... Great Vocals in each aspect. Defently one of my favourite acapellas on looperman.
I think I should replay some parts again. Cause the vocals are worth to spend some more time.

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.

Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.

Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
