Description : Loop number 1000 for me and it's a very simple one. I took a reversed ride cymbal from my 505 (From Techno Kit 3), used Paulstretch to make it go over 8 bars, then added some DJ style resonant highpass filter to it with a DJFX plugin. Simple but very effective in the mix.

Description : I've been recording drum hits from my 505 today and this sound was in one of the collections (Drum n Bass 1) on the hardware. Not a good drum sound - but a very good riser sound, so here it is. Used UJAM Boost to polish it once recorded.

Description : Flechtwerk is a wonderful techno synth based on the Plaits Eurorack module. It is (unbelievably) free and used to be only available in M4L format but is now VST3 compatible. If you make techno of any variety you should grab a copy! These demo sounds were made using just Flechtwerk and my favourite delay (Replika).

Description : An atonal pad layer that is also percussive and rhythmic. Can be used to add an interesting texture to any electronic music, but especially techno. Made with Etheric Fields and some simple gate/reverb FX.

Description : All Behringer Edge Loops today. Experimenting with the patch cables to make the little techno box do different things. Some bleepy and bloopy and some percussive. All rhythmic. On other FX is an FX600 pedal.

Description : A riser I made from the Edge sounds in the track I am working on. I enhanced the initial transient with a wave shaper then slapped a giant reverb on it and reversed it.

Description : Accidental riser made with the FX600 pedal. I noticed the super long tail on the kick track I recorded and simply reversed it for this riser.

Description : This is a simple patch made with a cymbal drowned in reverb and reversed. However, I added subtle saturation and filtered echoes to the sound to give it more texture. A nice riser that will sit in most mixes easily.

Description : Still experimenting with the Edge today. Man this thing can make industrial noise to scare your grandma with. No wonder they call it the NIN machine haha... Just add a huge rumble kick for raw industrial techno. And a DJ filter of course!

Description : This experimental loop is comprised of the Edge percussion synth running at a very high tempo, then sidechained to a techno kick. I think it could be an interesting way to make a rumble track - just add reverb and low pass filtering for a kind of rhythmic rumble texture.

Description : Sound design with the mixer FX in Koala sampler can get pretty detailed. This techno FX loop is made using nothing but Koala sampler. The inly thing changed on the PC is the sample rate to work on Looperman.

Description : Take a 909 loop and mangle it in Koala sampler with all the robotic FX turned up to the max. Now it doesn't sound like a 909 anymore but it does sound like industrial noise! Using Koala Sampler to mangle existing loops is lots of fun and produces unexpected results.
