on The Last Stand by GalanticMusic
I love the simplicity in this, it is really catchy and it sounds great the way you panned the sounds around while keeping the melody and percussion centered

that's always a good thing to do

Keep them coming dgalantic

on AZZYKO - ZOMBIE feat Farisha by AZZYKO
Azzyko you nailed it with this one, it really features the complete formula of dubstep in it haha.

The accapella sounds great with those arps ;)

Favorite from me, the mix is nicely done and don't really have criticism on this one ;)

Think you should definitely continue it, I found it interesting to hear a guitar like that used in a dnb song ;p
don't hear it often

Hope you get to finishing it anytime soon ;)

on Experimental Trance track by Livingsoulsdie
Well I guess the arpy thingy coming in at 1.18 could use a more consistent volume, also the drums seem to wobble a bit in volume (maybe another sound pushes it in?)
For the drums that would make sidechaining them an easy fix (but I can hear some sidechaining already so not sure if it is that)

For the main synth I guess stereorizing it would do really good and boosting the mid frequencies ;)

That is it for the constructive feedback I think

About the track itself, it has some real potential and I like the progressions you did in there. It really makes up for an interesting song, I hope you keep them coming and maybe up the level with the advice from me and others

If you need help with the mixing/mastering you can pm me at any time :)

on Android Porn - Brutal Remix by Abilify
Well I don't really comprehend why you percept constructive feedback as jealousy, I had no intend to portray my comment as you perceived it.

Besides my tracks are totally unrelated to yours so it is a poor example, especially since you don't offer me any constructive feedback with it.
To make your opinions grounded you should add some arguments in it, it makes them come over a lot stronger ;)
But this is totally off topic and I am dwelling off.

I also get criticized every once in a while but I am content with such comments as long as they are featured in such a way that they offer a constructive approach to it so I can improve on the production in general.
I hope you comprehend that I purely meant my comment to be constructive.

Ps: I make a lot more then just dubstep so I highly doubt you actually looked further then one song

Nice ambient sounds used and a strong subbass that you put underneath it, sounds pretty cool ;)

on AZZYKO - GALAXY by AZZYKO
I think this is a well known chord progress scheme but I like how it sounds ;)

I think you could also add in a bigroom kind of drop for this, I think that would really fit, don't know for sure though.

Anyways nice job on it, the mixing is pretty good imo and I like how you created the dynamic effect in it.

The snare in the buildup at 2.08 dents in the volume slightly
AZZYKO
AZZYKO replied 16th Sep 2014 - 11 years ago
I really don't know, I was improvising on piano and this came out. :) Sounds like some mainstream song intro but I never found out which one... Hmm I was thinking about bigroom drop but I was going for progressive house from start so just one break here. :) However, thank you for listening!

on CKeen - Polymorph - short version by keenkeen
Sweet, sounded a bit like feedme in the beginning with the synth like that

Like the sounds used ;)
It takes a pretty weird retro turn I think in the later part

Interresting sounds used in this one and like how you used that vocal sample

Like the piano that goes with this one, kind of trippy to me
Thanks for sharing ;)

So creative with the sounds here !

Really like how you flipped around the theme to come up with this weird sounding song which is interesting to hear

on The Hypnotist - Forever by Indozizz
Nice job on this, indeed very uplifting stuff ;)
I couldn't fully hear the track since my internet connection decided to not work so I will finish listening it another time

But I like the plucky bass you used for the typical trance feel

Is it like a few sounds layered?
johnnyproducing
Nice, bit old fashioned but really chills me out after a long day so I like it ;)

The vocals go great with it and I like how you played the piano, at first the piano seemed a bit hard in contrast to the other instruments but it surely makes it stand out (not sure if intended but I guess it is)

Thanks for sharing it with us

promenade2239 replied 1st Sep 2014 - 11 years ago
hi, glad you enjoyed the music. Yes, the piano I used is not a 'real piano' but just a 'vst-piano':) So quite difficult to get a proper sound from it... But still sounds quite good as far I am working only with the virtual instruments currently... Thanks for your nice comment,
Alex

on Rainbow Psy-IDM by Nosleeves
Haha this weird trippy song, really mixed a lot of sounds together

I wonder why do you prefer bitwig since I had heard of it but I don't know what it got to offer that gives it advantages over other daws, could you list a few?
Nosleeves
Nosleeves replied 23rd Aug 2014 - 11 years ago
fro starters thanks for the review, means since i havent been on here quite some time.

As for your ?,I believe bitwig is a alternative for those who lke are looking for a creative deiffrence like i was.

its beauty comes in its sampling functions and midi and audio fusion which you heard in the track.

a lot of midi data and audio was played in the same track input so get some cool effects with that.

for you,try the demo and see if it works for ya.

thnaks again.

be sure to chk my soundcloud when you can.

i got by racademixer.

also got new loops out now, fill free to try them out.

on Why did you leave by ArtfulOne
Pretty nice, bit of chillout though I would look into the mixing. The vocals could be turned a notch down to allow the listener to experience the beat in combination with the vocals more instead of just hearing the vocals so hard

Also I would check into the limiter settings, everything seems to be quiet high up into the master, might be a good idea to turn things down so that the limiter doesn't have to cut a great deal on the volume

Still a good song though ;)

on If I Die Before I Wake by TRSTAR
this gets a fav from me, you really did well on this beat
and you got the vocals smooth on there

Did you made the beat too or only the vocals?

Nevertheless thanks for sharing and keep them coming
TRSTAR
TRSTAR replied 14th Oct 2014 - 11 years ago
My bad it took so long for me to reply. But I made the beat using my logic x on mac, thanks for all the good feedback I really do appreciate it

on AZZYKO - FEEL THE BEAT by AZZYKO
Sounds really nice, but I can see there is a heavy limiter on this because of the wave form. I would try to mix things a bit so that you don't have to rely so much on the limiter to cut every sound that clips.

The sounds you used are interesting, got that yoi bass going on haha

Thanks for sharing this with us ;)

At least they sound very familiar

on Winter song by LividKicks
I like almost everything with piano so this one was worth the listen too ;)

I think that it could sound nicer by having the drum fade in either by cutoff or by volume so it doesn't hit so sudden
see you did that in the second part

Further nice job on the melody ;)
Thanks for sharing this with us

Ok thanks, that's good advice - I think I will do what you suggest and try and make them a bit softer.

on AZZYKO - IN YOUR FACE by AZZYKO
I wasn't finished typing douchy website :/ should make a button like "confirm this comment, or an edit for comments"

But what I wanted to say was to make the drop slightly more interesting you could add all these rises and cymbals (I know you already did a reverse cymbal crash thingy in there)
But there is still a lot of space there
AZZYKO
AZZYKO replied 13th Aug 2014 - 11 years ago
It happened to me few times also...

Actually, I wanted to drop it unexpectedly at 1:28 when dutch synth comes. So technically it dropped at 1:28, not at 0:58, it is kinda prepare for something better.

That dutch synth also reminds me of "Knife Party - Internet friends" (didn't try to copy them, I actually find that later). Anyway thank you for review, it really means a lot :)

I like this a lot, it really got the right elements for it
somehow this sounded so familiar to me, aren't sure where I heard something like it before but it is cool ;)

In the drop you could add some fx like rises cymbals etc to make that slightl
