The idea is really cool and reminds me of old nineties hip hop, however, the key is so off it sounds dissonant and not in a great contrived way as others have pointed out to you.. fix that key and you got a winner.
Cru
Hey thanks for the feedback, I just recently updated the track and did a bit more work to the beats. I wanted to use my own VST instead of picking a random so the drum work it all mine. I'm not very good with Drums just yet. So I hope the changes improved the track.
I like this as it has a certain melancholy to it. You can make it louder in Audacity or an old program like Sound Forge. A Nice VST like Sausage Fattener would work as well. And yes, it is too short.
Cru
Hey Cru good to hear from you i checked out sly and robbie they are very cool unusual combination between reggae and dub they have been doing music and travelling a very long time. There is something calming about a reggae rhythm. Having said that a little bit of musical anarchy is also good for the soul. Have a good day my friend keep up the good fight. Best regards Robbie.
I like this, minimal is not always easy to pull off, and not everyone will like it, but I really appreciate a good detailed minimalist song like this one, because I know how hard it is to make it make sense to the listener. The emphasis is on a good vocal, and a nice rhythm, the rest are just elements to move the listener along. Good work my friend.

Steven,
I am still discovering myself as a producer. This is a world where I started less than two years ago, so I'm still a child discovering the world hehehe
Like every child, I also like to explore and test the limits, sometimes to the extreme ... for more or for less, I try to understand why some rules has established are so strong. Some things are easy to understand, others I need to test, see with my own eyes, to then respect those limits. That is why feedback is very important ... In the course of it all it is natural to make many mistakes and very few hits. But when the hits happen they are worth it for everything else ...
Any producer wants his music to be heard and to have a good concept, otherwise it would not be necessary to publish.
I'm loving Looperman because it's a place where I can put my sound on and test it to see what’s working and what’s not. I already made the mistake of publishing songs that were not ready on Spotify or Youtube, I like them a lot, but today I see defects that I haven't seen for a year (in fact, we will never be truly satisfied lol).
So this opportunity that I'm having here I didn't have anywhere, the opportunity to test my sound with other guys who also produce and can give feedback.
Specifically about this song, it is really simple, but the intention was precisely to test this minimalist thing, which I swear I thought was a simpler thing to do hehehe. It doesn't look like it but the project has 19 audio tracks, not counting the effects tracks. It took many hours of work and still has some details that I am not entirely satisfied with. But it will be very subtle changes ...
I'm not trying to please everyone, we already know it's impossible, the intention here is to attack a concept and bring my truth, my art, my experiences, and try to somehow leave a mark ... Certainly standing out is a very difficult task, because there are many people producing, and many good people producing ... But as they say here in Brazil, those who are in the rain are to get wet.
Reminds me a lot of Todd Terje´s work on Bryan Ferry´s rendition of ¨Johhny & Mary¨ originally done by Robert Palmer. Curious if that was an influence? This is good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Din_eWjJWe0

Sometimes we all need a bit of sunshine to make us feel good, but also remember the hardships in a melancholy way. This song and your vocal delivery bring to us. That's why it´s so special. You give us the truth! and sometimes the truth is hard to swallow, but it´s what we all need at some point in our life. You deliver it in such a sweet and tolerable way that it makes us just want to give u a great big ole hug and thank you for your gift. Awesome work
Steven
Hey Lefty!!! That intro was amazing. The music is amazing. Vapourware all the way! The vocals need some chorus effect to quash the off key vibrato. and I agree with everyone else it becomes buried. all easily fixed. The music is freking outstanding though.
Cheers mate.
Cru
Ok, Yeah, this one intros so nice. Really good tune, love the vocals, it just has a really cool mood to it. Guitar work is sublime. And the Bass cuts through nicely. Your Outra is awesome as well. Great Job.
Cru
Thanks for listening & the comparison the David Bowie. Over the decades I've listened to his work more than any other artist. In fact on my scale of worst LP ever released to best, Station to Station takes the "best" spot. Captain Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica takes the worst spot. I'm sure there's worse records than that one out there, but I'm really familiar with Trout Mask because of a kid I used to hang out with back in high school who insisted on playing That record every chance he got. He thought it was genius. I thought it was crap.
Cool Tune, and try adding the space at the beginning of the track to get around the 4 character issue. Now to the tune at hand. It is an awesome blend of piano and synth and simple percussion with a brilliant chord progression that makes you just feel good.
Nice work.
Cru
Cool Awesome tone on that kick. Almost has an acid feel to it. Good Techno. I was not expecting the I IV V Pad progression. As I listen to it I am really liking what you did, and how you bring the elements forward. That Pitch bend is Wicked. And it ends on a Synth Burp, nice. Great Job.
Cru
Hey Cru its good to hear from you i hope all well in this time of covid madness and we can all get back to normal whatever that is thankfully we have music to keep us motivated. Thankyou for your comment best regards Robbie.
Good morning friend and thank you for your constant support. In this track, I put aside any compositional rule, keeping a simple rhythmic pattern as the only lifeline. Thanks again and see you soon
I love the intro and how it builds. I'm ok with the percussion being static since the synths all around it are ever-changing. I think that was the right call for this particular tune (and you know I come from the school of diverse percussion). And I particularly like the way it crescendos and then leads to a denouement and slowly disperses itself. Masterful tune my friend.
Steven
Thank you very much for your nice words, this song is constantly evolving, it has not yet reached its definitive form and through your analyzes and your comments I can understand how to proceed. Best wishes and see you soon
Really cool Drumming, Are you Familiar with Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. Terry Bozio used to drum back in the day with him and they did a piece Frank wrote called the Black page (A drummers Nightmare because of all the 64th notes literally made the Page seem Black). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyH8A_XPXeM
Nice to hear some real musicianship.
Cru
Thank you, thats insanely cool that you thought of bozzio since he is a huge influence, especially his modern stuff. Zappa is huge too, love peaches en regalia. I even like about 5 songs from Missing Persons. They hit a cliff fast though.
