on Life In Pixels by Bindanox
Usually this type of sound is either a hit or a miss, depends on your mixing. You did a great job at not having the sounds attacking each other for attention but more so working together for the listener's experience. And very interesting how you used an otherwise weakness in the song (the glitches) as a strength. Nice work.

Thank you Oviea 91.

I have to agree when you say its a hit or miss with glitch type sounds but i really like glitch sounds and i am trying to incorporate them on my music whenever i find fit.

on I WALK feat SJW and Fracas Grimm by facasgrimm
Nice flow from both. I'm guessing you're the second guy? Is there a second, pitched lower, effect on your vocals? Interesting.
facasgrimm
facasgrimm replied 25th Dec 2014 - 10 years ago
Yeah I usually have a duplicate vocal with a lower pitch to add depth. I thank you for listening and commenting.

on Book of the sagittarius by traz75
Really nicely put together. When I initially looked at the description, I was expecting sounds to be all over the place but, here, it sounds like organized chaos... in a good way. lol

traz75 replied 25th Dec 2014 - 10 years ago
Thank you! The other track name i were thinking about was "My mind", so organized chaos is a perfect description. :)

Very interesting track you have here, dude. Remind me one one of the many creepypastas read on youtube, ironic how I never find any of them creepy but that's not the point. The point is, this is very enchanting, charming, and peaks my morbid curiosity. Keep it up.

My fav part is when the beat drops at 38 seconds but I like the sample you used. Wonder who you see rapping on it (I mean, a known rap artist who has a similar style)?

Thank man, really appreciate.I never though about any rapper that can rap on it.But on top of my head am thinking JOE BADA$$ can work with this.

on Today We Need Peace by Ensam
Blood, sweat and tears? On a track? I can totally relate. lol... too bad not too many understand what that means when they hear our works but I can hear a lot of diversity in your track, from the smooth intro and how the string pans in and out in a flangus fashion to the sideshaining of the kicks when the beat comes in. Like the vocals. Well done.

Yep, I recognize that guitar riff but i like the way you mixed this, with the organ and all. a professional mix, listing to the panning, nothing is jumbled and clashing with each other. nicely done!

lol, very interesting touch to the beat. mixing the usual heavy trap 808s, hihats, and snare-rolls with a light classical style ambiance. Very peculiar and different. Nice.

on circle of light by DanGoldstein
I like the beginning instrument you selected. It has a very exotic sound, which reminds me of a rain forest. I like the overall concept, but I feel that some sounds get in the way of other. I like them all, it's just if the synth was turned down a bit and perhaps pan it to one side of the speakers? It just feels like they're all competing with one another instead of working together (this is how my mind works)

The ending was interesting, reminds me of China somehow. I think of the rice fields on an early dewy morning while Samurai get ready for a fresh strart... I dunno how this relates but I like it.

Keep 'em coming!

on Stay Back Freestyle by mackeymarshel
What's up, mackeymarshel

Nice track. It's a bit out of the box, like you meant it to be -- it could be mixed better by laying the kicks and snares and turning down the bass plucks... but I like the direction. It's refreshing, really, like the string in the background has a quirky touch to it that's a bit charming, along with the bass.

Your flow and delivery needs work, also turn it up so I can understand what you're saying.

Like the first guy said, this is a good start. Keep it up!

Thanks for the comment! I appreciate the feedback!
I agree it could be mixed better, mixing/mastering is on top of my list of things I want to improve on.

Because the beat was 'out of the box' I wanted to try the same with the flow. I realize now that it didn't work out as good as I'd hoped. To me it sounds to 'choppy'.

on Technical Time Ft FarM by Spivkurl
I like the gritty electric sound... reminds me of the old Daft Punk sound or On Sight by Kanye West. This is a sound I thought about using for this upcoming mixtape I'm producing. And the second part of this track is pretty dope. Keep it up!
Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied 25th Jul 2014 - 11 years ago
Hey friend, thank you for stopping in to listen! I have barely listened to the artists you mentioned, but I totally understand what you mean by "gritty electric sound". Most of my favorite music has that characteristic to it. I am so out of the loops when it comes to mixtapes... to me it was a cassette tape dubbed with tracks from other cassettes or CDs of artists that you enjoyed. Never really felt stuck 20 years ago as I do now. Happy that you enjoyed the second half more, as I did really subtle things to enhance the feeling after the bridge. Appreciate you listening very much!

on Who Cares by terrancet
I like the overall concept... I find it interesting. But as far as execution, I feel like the flow and the lyrics could be better but your delivery is decent.

Again, I like the concept//hook. I find it "different".
terrancet
terrancet replied 27th Jul 2014 - 11 years ago
Definitely, delivery and concept need to be better but i use this as a learning experience. i would not get any better if you didnt tell me the truth. Thanks. After laying the vocals i feel like I could have done a better job. But again music is a learning experience and we all need improvement. THANKS i like the feedback.
