Yo D! Finally checking this out...interesting selection of loops...crazy hearing my own one in there! I like the concept behind it and the sounds involved; all I'd say is that the levels need to be mixed down a little to get them sitting nicely together.
Apart from that it's really cool and quirky - no less than I'd expect from you :)
Hey was up bruv? Yeah, things're goin cool. Just graduated with 3 associate degrees last year. Now I'm workin towards a bachelors. Don't mix as often as I use to (decided that I'd shift focus towards my academics, tryin to join the honor society). At the mo' my main goal, musically, is to make more loops for the site.
So how 'bout you, what all's been goin on 'round yer way? Been able to do any more mixing? School, work?? Lemme know sometime, cool? Nice to see ya poppin in my man. Try not to stay gone so long next time, ay? Later on!
Thanks for your nice reviews, feel free to use anything I upload here as long as you tell me in advance. it would be great if you sent me a copy of the stuff you come up with, based on my tracks, so I can check out the goodness! See you sometime!
Thanx for the kind review my friend. I would be honuered if you want to use it. Could you please let me know when it's used so as I can have a listen ? Thanx again for listening & reviewing
Real soulful...if you know about African house you must know about Black Coffee, this reminds me of his tracks. Mind if I put this in a lil house mix I'm putting together?
I do like the contrast in this, personally I feel that the piano riff would have complimented the bass if used together, but it's still a really good track.
Yo man! Thanks for your support, appreciate it. & sure :). If your posting the mix online anywhere be sure to link me anyway, soundcloud, fb, here. Im working on my music this summer. Going to be bigger and better! Big up dude!
Like this one mate, decent amount of breakdowns and changes, just like dubstep should have. Feels like it could've used an additional pad here or there but overall it was quite good. Mind if I used this is in a podcast mixed for Looperman?
I don't even know how to comment...this track is on a mad one! It's very different...at times it sounds too busy, at others it sounds just right. I like the use of the sampled vocal...it could do with a little less stutter in some places IMO. Anyway, overall it's a good, interesting track. Would you permit me to use it in an upcoming podcast specially mixed for Looperman listeners?
Nice blend between rock and dubstep, definitely an interesting mix. I'd like to use it in a mix for an upcoming podcast specially made for Looperman...you down?
I like this one dude, it's bit more uplifting than most dubstep IMO, a bit more towards the Rusko end of the spectrum. Loving the pad and the vocals in particular. I agree with ThePantherLab on bringing out the pads a little more, but I know that learning to EQ can be a b***h. Would you mind terribly if I used this in an upcoming mix I plan to release as a podcast for Looperman?
This is really good guys....It actually sounds as if it came from one artist...every sound compliments each other to perfection...the FX on this are brilliant D..and the alien samples from Pitch Black are on point (I love that film)..this is my first experience of Goa Trance and I hope it isn't the last...this track really sets the bar high...
Hey Ash,
Didn't use any samples. Just played my NanoKey all crazy and then tweeked 'em with an effect or two to get that sound. And in a way it did come from one artist-

Naw, seriously, I'd really like to thank the guy who wrote the script for Tron which served as the inspiration for this. If he hadn't written it this wouldn't've been made.
As for Goa- one word (sorta)= www.DI.fm (they got a channel dedicated to this music and is where I usually will listen to it... works best if you've got WinAmp or Itunes, faster bitrate on those).
As for the bar- we'll see, we'll see. XxYoung's currently workin on adding the leads. Glad you enjoyed it. Later on!
I like the track...but its really quiet...and sounds like you've got a low pass filter over the whole thing....started to come out a bit towards the end....anyway the track itself is quite full of energy and bounce...really good, you've got loads of elements of different genres in this one...good work...
Thanks for the review. Yes I did put a little low pass filter on a few of the channels, but on re-listening I think it is way to much, I'll turn it down a little. Cheers
Coolness D...love the way you've got it fading in and out..sorta like scenes in a movie...methinks you and I should do more of these 8-bit tracks...maybe even team up on one once I'm back up to full speed...anyway, nice concept, keep it fresh brother...
Okies mate, sounds like a solid plan to me. Just shoot me some specifics of what yer wanting to do and we'll see if we can't bang one out.
Oh, and the concept came from all of those game remixes they've got out there. I stopped and thought- you know what, I've never heard a mash-up type of mix before. Glad ya dug it. Later on!
