Great work Darren, not only very relaxing but I'd add that it can be used as soundtrack for some sad/drama movie. I like these sounds and how the main piano melody accompanies the track while the other instruments alternate each other, I particularly like the part with the violin, so good! All the best, Alan
Thank you for the reply Alan.
Yes it could be used as a soundtrack I never thought. I love the violin its my favourite instrument.
Alan once again thank you sir glad you liked.
It sounds to me like a Jazz track with modern sounds, especially the synth/fx.
Very relaxing and the mixing is very very good, sounds so clear, well done!
Happy New Year
Thank you so much for visiting and listening to my music. I am really glad you liked the outcome. To tell you the truth I do combine various sounds and I really like the procedure. Sometimes though it is not so successful and I have to restrain my self to more common paths...I will soon visit to listen to your works.
My best regards, Anthony.
Hi Papercup, very particular mix, I can hear drums almost in metal style, nice synth sound. I like the effect on the heavy bass, I may suggest adding some bass in other parts of the track as well to add more power, unless that was intended of course :)
Hi, thanks for your comment. It is a constant learning process for me personally, where the end goal doesn't exist. Although, there is always opportunity and scope to iron out and improve. I don't agree or disagree in regards to the bass. With all due respect, I think it's very much a personal taste.
Hi Alex, nice track, kind of hypnotic, the sound quality is super clear, I'd love to hear a version with some vocals in it, it would elevate it even more, well done!
Thanks so much for your comment! I'm glad to hear that you think the mixing is clear, it's something I've been struggling with for some time so I've been putting effort into making my mixes clearer, I hope I can keep them consistent in future and keep improving! :)
Merry Christmas Oli :) Pleasant song in a storytelling style, I like the sounds in the intro, the combination of guitar and a synth/piano(?) The way the violin is placed in the track is so good. Really hard to categorise this piece of music, and that's the beauty of it
Glad you enjoyed the track - glad u liked piano and strings - yes, we do tend make tracks that slip between the genres:) Thank you for your kind words and Merry Christmas from Kay and Oli
Wow so much going on in this track, I think I never heard something like this, how can I define it? space-funk? space-acid-jazz? great creativity, bass and synth really stand out for me, and a cool fitting voice, I can imagine lots of work must have gone behind this song
Hi Alan, well, Space Funk would probably be a good fit, but that is not a category to choose from here. Yes, it was a lot of work, but all of our tracks have been created over a long period of time. It always starts with a good idea, and then we work on it until our fingers bleed.
Thanks for listening and commenting.
Cheers, Micky
Nice soundtrack, it perfectly works for horror/suspense scenes as you wrote in the description.
Can I ask what synth/vst you use? I really like the sounds
Very creative track, nice idea to add the male vocals as well, I like how the song is divided into various parts, with brass, funk synth and percussions. Very good mixing too.... and thanks for the unexpected mention :D
Very good track, some sort of electronic/trance, I like the break that starts at 1:10 - it's very elaborated, lots of layers fitting together, excellent mixing
A good track, really hard to define the genre, grunge? maybe a bit...it reminds me a bit of Beck, with the added filter on the vocals.
Good mixing, which is not easy given the multiple layers of guitars/effects, a nice result.
Thanks for listening! We like to defy genres! Wataya did the mixing and mastering he's much better at the dark arts then me. Apologies for the late reply. Cheers bobo
This is a great track, electronic/industrial/metal merged in a perfect way! The mix also sounds clean and clear, while I imagine it must have been very difficult to achieve due to the many layers, keep it up
Hey Anthony, nice track! you definitely achieved the nostalgic style in a modern key. The atmosphere created around the guitar loop fits perfectly. Sound quality is really high!
Very nice, clear sounds combined together, and excellent choice of the vocals, in a multilingual combination. The track gives a positive and relaxed vibe, to be played over the summer holidays :)
Wow what a song! At first I was amazed by the mix of the most western and eastern instruments played together, great idea, and after that it evolved in what I thought would become a techno track, and then again, sad, nostalgic vibes. Good production quality and one of the most original beats I heard in a while
Very good, congratulations! Clean sounds, a mix of trip-hop/classical music and you could have used other obvious drum patterns but chose this sort of "jazz" vibe which works so well and makes it special.
It does feel like mid 80s-early 90s....good clear mixing, would be interesting to hear it with some pop vocals on it. The vibe for me is a combination of happiness and nostalgic sounds :)
