Anyways, nuff silliness and onto the track (chuuga chuuga choo choo, alright, one last burst, but it was the last). I've gotta say- "You and Gameboi make on heck of a team!" (or have I already said that before?) This is one wild @$$ track man. I mean, I could see this on one of those trance rave vids they've got circulatin around the web n stuff. And the two of you'd be on stage with the crowd goin wild (with the water bottles, the sweat, and the jiggly accessories or light sticks/poi balls). Rawk the f*** on daagy!

Holy schmokes Moke, lol. Ya did one mighty fine job on this. There are two particular points that just jump out of the speakers to give ya a luv tap or pimp slap or whateva ya wanna call it, lol.

Gimme a min to finish listening to it and I'll give you (and all) those makers. Alright, lemme punch it up on my sys (to free up site bandwidth). 1st- starting at about 4:30 or 40 the way ya got the drums set up is kinda like a climatic build up. 2nd- 5:49ish the keys and bass are simply badd@$$ (course one could say the build up starting @5mins is pretty choice too).

I'm blown away mate. Ya took this in a direction I would've never thought (& @over 8 mins to boot, wow). Def downloaded & fav'd bud (we should collab more often).

As for what ya said, I'm actually thinkin about doin that more often (at say a 50% or 33% rate). TTYL mate!

Through a simple greeting. To say 'hello', well, that's where it came from. The root word of "Salve (sal-way)" in Latin translates to roughly the same thing.

As for the track, I think what ya added was awesome. I'm definately diggin the guitars (the chants add an almost ancient feel as if we were peering into a porthole to 3 or 400 years back).

When I went to write a name on the desc it was the first thing that popped into mind. Now I can almost see a saga unwinding from just those few minutes all those years back. And thanks to you, it is a shared story that has been built upon even further.

We have the scene, we have the timeframe, now all we need are characters and possibly a dragon? Cheers!

But the Piano loops on this sound vaguely familar (dunno from where though). The vocals guy almost sounds like an Islamic Wailer in morning prayer. The muted break at around the 2 minute mark was premo. I can see why ya classified it as Funk, coz it's funky, but it just doesn't seem to fit the Funk bill to me (I dunno why). At any rate, another choice chune man!

That movie with Antonio Bandaras and Selma Hayek (can't recall the name now), but that's what the intro reminded me off. The way it goes into the rest somewhat reminds me of something DJ Krush would do (have you checked out his album Jaku yet? I highly recommend it). I may very well download this. I've been a fan of this style for a while (have you ever heard DJ Sam's stuff, check him out if ya haven't). I've also been wanting to do somethin in the genre too, but haven't gotten around to it.

So, this track presents itself like... The drums are def dead on and the bassline used fits. The synth however sounds a bit different. Though not in a bad way. Maybe it's just that synth was used (shrugs). If it was someone pluckin away on a Guitar I could definately see it. Which reminds me, what do ya think of Tex-Mex or western style country? Aw man, that would be a killer mix if added to this!

Margaret, I'm comin for ya' A common quote by Red Fox (I think Marg was his wife's name, erm). Anywho, that's what the organ on this reminded me of (his show, Sanford & Son)

The synth leads remind me of something kinda spacey. Overall, this track is pretty nice (& I'm not really that into low-key stuff). I think it's because of the subdued drums. Which are nicely done and make it dancey!

This one is very good, but I agree with Red. It ins't quite House. The drums are either Jungle or Breakbeat. The Bass are kinda Dance or EDM (in a Bossanova sorta way) and the leads are Electro or Tracey (in a subdued, Dreamgate sorta way).

I really love it's overall composition because everything is so upbeat it gives this an added energy.

If you wanna make a House track just remember a few things/tricks...

Drums- The more basic the better and be sure that they have a heavy emphasis on the kicks, the hi-hat, and a third (like a clap or cowbell)

Bass- Usually mimics the drums with a basic theme (but sometimes its cool to lace other aspects into it, like an additional channel of just a flowing up and down, humming tone). Think of the kick as Boom and the bass as Bum and try to have them interlace on another like Boom, bum, boom, bum or bum bum bum, boom, bum bum bum, boom.

Once you have these two the rest just kinda falls into place easily. This is where you start to picture what the song so far reminds you of genre-wise with other stuff (like does it remind you of Latin America and Salsa-type stuff or does it seem darker and grittier, where Urban or Industrial styles would serve it best).

It's also keen to keep in mind House's roots and how it sounded in it's infancy. So giving it a soulful, retro, or disco feel adds to it's appeal/flair.

and you paint a beautiful picture of a rather gruesome subject matter (and speaking about painting, I've done some too and out of all the mediums of art I'm not too keen on doing it, though looking at the works of others is the most pleasant of the bunch, seconded only to old Copper Etchings).

As for the sbuject matter, I am currently writing a book in which I touch base on Nuclear energy (and some things about it's process that puzzle me, to act as suggestions to the scientific community for improving it). Good gravy, by Jim!

I dunno about the rest, but I think this track is good enough without the vocal samples. I mean, I really like it when I hear an awesome trance tune that doesn't use any vocals. As if the artist is wanting us to add dialog on our own. Where the song paints the landscape and the listener is supposed to add the characters.

As for the solo thing, you come up with amazing stuff on yer own and I, for one, wanna hear more originals. Lates!

The bass rawks off socks, but instead I will try to emphasize my comment on other aspects.
*The drums are kik'n (I especially dig the tonal breakdown part and the squashy sounding hit ya use).
*The synth leads are decent too. I like the timeless Euro quality they posess, but the way they are subdued is 50/50. To me they work really well and give it a marching on air feel. I may haveta add this to my looperman collection. Thanks for sharing and lates!

This is the second track that I've heard in which you've used stuff from that site you mentioned. I do believe I will now haveta go n check it out (and later try to produce my own track from it and then feature the link on my ADHD page).

Which also reminds me of something (at around the 1:30 mark). I've got a loop that I think you'd really like (and might just be a nice fit there) entitled 'Sark Steps' that I needta upload on here after this.

This kinda reminds me more of something under the Dream- ___ classification. And would be perfect for something like Bubble Bubble or some Mario spin off as is.

As for grime, I've heard about it, but was always under the impression that it was only a term used to describe an MC's style of flow on any given track (perhaps there are instrumentals that would befit an MC whose prone to using grimy lyrics).

Anywho, I think it's awesome that ya remade this song because the original was pretty choice. Kind of an interesting spin on a pop/R&B classic. Nicely, done. Lates!
