on Razing Time by Byleth
Good built with the mixed drum kits, like the timing of different patterns goes nice to the story view.

Interesting use of orchestral instruments, what you have them playing gives a good ambient for a sequel. Sounds like an intro to a game, where can i play? ha. Thanks for sharing, cool sounds. Peace.

Thanks dear Designed, I glad you was the timing of different patterns since its part of the concept (time).

Also I somewhat found this track trolling us ! I will explain at 1:36 min if you think the melody is made with strings you are wrong. the first note is Strings with Brass, the second one is only Strings, the 2 next is Brass only, after its both again to finish with brass only. If you do not pay attention to this detail your brain may think its just a normal straight melody. In that track I made the Brass look more like Strings.

All that to explain, I hate flat tune with no story or hidden thing who you may need to re listen multiple times to just heard all the details.

That thing is kind my signature for each of my track.

About that track I was thinking about its was the Prequel of the Prequel of the Sequel of Razing Chronos. The Prequel is mainly the time machine working but in this one you can may see the inventor who build it.

Thanks for that feedback.

I will Also profit to say i may upgrade it making him longer fixing the intro choirs (maybe too lourd) and changing the outro for something better.

Peace

on FoUrTeeNK - Zombie by FoUrTeeNK
Very nice work. Intro really hypes up the scene. After that announcer tag I was expecting a bell to ring. Instrumentally this is something chill when vocals applied it gets a lil aggressive tho remains at a cold chill pace. Reminds me to some Trap music Idk how to tell these days.

on Unholy Interface by wordybum
What the unholy interface in this!!! Haha, Really liking the gritty icky with this ruff. Your band has a cool sound, you guys cover a good variety of ideas and I dig most of them. Kind of inspiring what free form will allow one to create and the kind of differences it brings together. Thanks for letting us peep this. Keep at it man, Peace.

thanks a lot, brother! i really appreciate the love i'm getting on these tracks. i wanted to spread them out a bit so you can all get a taste of the different styles we incorporated... and it seems to be working. I'll be ULing something this weekend that is totally left field, if that even makes sense after hearing this one.

on reflexion by nhclost
I am fond of the piano here. Dig the layers you got happening a fresh moment when you dropped those steppa drums alongside those persistent pounding keyful thoughts.

Does relax me by inducing more aggression which I liked to go about it too why I liked this. Good to hear more like this and hope you released a few more before going onto the next arena. Very interesting, thank you for sharing, Peace.

on Trial-and-Error by soundhound
Hello TG, This new guitar is sounding really nice. Good quality to it, digging what you did with this mix. It's cool how you took that sample and turned into some really good. Good guitar expressions can get you feeling really good man WoW. IDK where you put this under as well but I definitely see this being used as movie media, goes for a lot of interesting scenes that can tie together a mix of stories.

I have nothing to add but a positive comment, it's one of a kind for sure. Keep doing your thang man and I appreciate the share. Peace.

on No Mot Juste by GramoChopin
I still consider it one of your best piano pieces Neo, For me this early morning holds magic with the listen here. Digging all the little splashes of paint you put into this. That change of pace around 2:00 mark is exciting. My favorite part about this is the ending half 2:00 and after. Really nice visuals and ideas here dude. Creative material from your archives. You've been doing more piano work like this lately?

Thanks for sharing, Peace.

Well hello again Carole you did have a good sense of timing to release these deep messages. Dig the instrument sounds and vocals, did you put everything together yourself? Felt cinematic to me I liked it and your voice and lyrics really share a strong view of hope. Nice. I enjoyed the ideas here, thanks for sharing. Peace.

Whaaa! I missed this? Damn. This is actually really good for what it is. This is the 2nd take I've heard someone applied vocals too and I was impressed!

Who's that on the chorus with you? You did both takes? Goes good together why I'm asking. Hey you never know, there's ppl out there than can do that shh man.

Diggin the audio clips in the intro. Ruff transition but worked. Good sense of direction over the instrumental, it is a bit of a challenge to work with and it sounds effortlessly owned haha Good job keep going. My bad about being late, I always am tho I somehow find a spot to make it in. Thanks. Peace

on Snake In The Past by Spivkurl
I got the change to hear this one on SC and I really enjoyed it there as here too. I thought you put some really cool ideas into this one. Vocally you keep surprising with the way you go about it. Thought it really adds great to the atmosphere of instruments. Your lyrics really stick in the head and mostly you've achieved this. Great psy work man I appreciate this. Thanks for sharing it, Keep going!! Peace.

Thanks for leaving a comment here as well! Really much of the time that went into the song was practising to get the vocal part just how I wanted, and it's good enough. A lot of the recent time was spent getting accustomed to FL 12 though... had to figure out how to transition my unfinished stuff to the new version. Without saving as a zipped loop file, the project was totally jacked up. Once I did that, all went well to finish it though. Anyone who hears it lucky that it's only words I stuck in their head... it could be far more painful... heh. Thanks again for stopping by!

on Traffic Jam by Spivkurl
Well that was one traffic jam that didnt piss me off haha. I mean you can hear some anger in the sounds but you make me smile about it, creative work. Good you finally got around to finishing her up. Has this retroness to it, I dig it! Definitely liking the lofi control to it. Keep doing it Pat! Thanks for sharing, Peace.
Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied 24th Jul 2015 - 10 years ago
Ha ha, honestly I have little to no experience with automobile related traffic jams; on the contrary I am a professional pedestrian, so traffic jams are not so easy to pin down. The sample at the end refers to this sort of traffic jam... where you get out of someone's way or let them go, and they treat you like a retard... Really there is only a couple seconds of anger in the whole track. Have many more songs in the works, but lots of other things in the works too, so it may be a while like this one. Thank you very much for visiting this song in it's various homes!

Nice atmosphere here. Piano is really sweet. Vocals add a gust of thoughtful wind through a window of the broken heart in search of knowing what one feels. Hello JG, I usually find some great traditional cinematic pieces from you. Nice how you build and create from within the moment of your life, it is reflected in the music.

Nice sense of time and placement with this one. I really liked when the strings came into play and took the story beyond. Really cool share, thanks. Keep at it, Peace.

on By The Ocean - A Recording by BradoSanz
It does sound like being by the ocean. Though from inside the room day dreaming about it (like in some videos). The voice covers up the background in some spots and in live takes you can still hear the background and whatever voice over it (example would be you hear the beach sounds then you hear the voice in a small room). Sweet setup though, sounds like a fun jam for real. I felt like I was watching a scene from a movie more than being at that ocean. I Still dig it ER. Very nice work! Peace.

on We Invade The Night by StaticNomad
Yo Static Nomad! How have things been going for you outside of music? It's good to find this new instrumental journey from you today. I really have a lot of interest in the pad of thoughts and Funeral piano most here.

Intro is great, visually listened. Your imagination is great in this kind of atmosphere SN. Has an ancient connection with the type of synth sounds placed together.

That next section starting at 3:37 my favorite on how you captured it in layers. 4:17 powerful feeling in your expression sounds like a stressful exhale

Nice piano playing at around the 4:47 section the high piano stabs Catchy how its being mixed in.

Mainly the vibe throughout feels free of restriction, and as your usual style of change ups I still dig it!

6:15 that guitar is very grooving. Enjoying the funk evolving this time around.

Heavily reminds to some past experiences from media to conversations to entertainment to wasted nights lost in heavy thoughts. Agree with this being a best track in months. So much about this speaks to me gives me a smile even for its weirdness. Soul speaking sounds Static. Thanks for sharing with us. It's great to hear and see how you've painted your trips throughout the time I've known you.

Keep doing this man! Hope things are well as can be for you and yours. Peace brother.
StaticNomad
StaticNomad replied 19th Jun 2015 - 11 years ago
Yo yo yo.

I'm OK, thanks. Not much happening outside music.

I figured you'd be into this one as you like dark, mind-expanding types of music.

"ancient connection"

Yes - there is something that sounds very old and mysterious about that intro before the drums. It's definitely not pop music.

3:37 is the real start of the rest of the track as I completely change the drums into a new reggae kit playing funky grooves (no reggae) someone could even rap over.

4:17 some of my far out, shimmering pad sounds coming together to do something like you say - exhale.

High piano stabs: I'm not much of a keyboard player so I tend to often try out grooving stabs, whether high, mid or low. They've come out nicely here and offer some pleasing melodies.

"vibe throughout feels free of restriction"

It's pretty damn laidback and I use long, legato bass and pad notes, which allows me to do all sorts of small things inbetween the drum hits.

"6:15 that guitar is very grooving"

Not bad jazzy soloing though some of the bends didn't come out quite right and I couldn't be bothered to replay them (lazy me).

I prefer the rocking guitar on 7:11. Acoustic bass is also strong there.

"So much about this speaks to me gives me a smile even for its weirdness."'

I'm primarily concerned with beauty and groove but do also like some darkness and weirdness, if I can get them to work comfortably. I think they do here. Lots of beauty in last few mins.

"Soul speaking sounds"

That's the kind of depth I go for so good to know I've been successful.

Thanks again for your thoughtful review.
