on We Invade The Night by StaticNomad
Intro is great, visually listened. Your imagination is great in this kind of atmosphere SN. Has an ancient connection with the type of synth sounds placed together.
That next section starting at 3:37 my favorite on how you captured it in layers. 4:17 powerful feeling in your expression sounds like a stressful exhale
Nice piano playing at around the 4:47 section the high piano stabs Catchy how its being mixed in.
Mainly the vibe throughout feels free of restriction, and as your usual style of change ups I still dig it!
6:15 that guitar is very grooving. Enjoying the funk evolving this time around.
Heavily reminds to some past experiences from media to conversations to entertainment to wasted nights lost in heavy thoughts. Agree with this being a best track in months. So much about this speaks to me gives me a smile even for its weirdness. Soul speaking sounds Static. Thanks for sharing with us. It's great to hear and see how you've painted your trips throughout the time I've known you.
Keep doing this man! Hope things are well as can be for you and yours. Peace brother.
I'm OK, thanks. Not much happening outside music.
I figured you'd be into this one as you like dark, mind-expanding types of music.
"ancient connection"
Yes - there is something that sounds very old and mysterious about that intro before the drums. It's definitely not pop music.
3:37 is the real start of the rest of the track as I completely change the drums into a new reggae kit playing funky grooves (no reggae) someone could even rap over.
4:17 some of my far out, shimmering pad sounds coming together to do something like you say - exhale.
High piano stabs: I'm not much of a keyboard player so I tend to often try out grooving stabs, whether high, mid or low. They've come out nicely here and offer some pleasing melodies.
"vibe throughout feels free of restriction"
It's pretty damn laidback and I use long, legato bass and pad notes, which allows me to do all sorts of small things inbetween the drum hits.
"6:15 that guitar is very grooving"
Not bad jazzy soloing though some of the bends didn't come out quite right and I couldn't be bothered to replay them (lazy me).
I prefer the rocking guitar on 7:11. Acoustic bass is also strong there.
"So much about this speaks to me gives me a smile even for its weirdness."'
I'm primarily concerned with beauty and groove but do also like some darkness and weirdness, if I can get them to work comfortably. I think they do here. Lots of beauty in last few mins.
"Soul speaking sounds"
That's the kind of depth I go for so good to know I've been successful.
Thanks again for your thoughtful review.
on Xyilent - Chapter 19 by XyIlent
lol yeah thats the goal a relaxing slow song to unwind too.
"Sounds like you've been doing alright"
yup.. im all good :D
thanks for the feedback and listen man, i appreciate it :P
on Chapter 19 by soundhound
The guitars are a great addition, tones are peaceful playing chill to the max.
Outstanding music. Thank you for sharing the trip with us.
Have a good 1, Peace D.
Really glad you like it...
A simple piece, didn't want to complicate it by over playing it
if I did, I would have missed the point of the chill feel...
Thanks for taking the time to stop in and commenting...
Peace...TG.

The mixing issues aren't a bugger, I don't care either. It's a good feel man. I dig it. Thanks for sharing.
Good mental transmission, strong mix LSD, sounds like it too haha.
on I cant make you love me featuring Lisa Worth by RichieWinn
The original is worth listening to if only to compare Lisa's performance (I think it holds up to comparison very well indeed). Yes, I agree, it's a fantastic vocal performance with real passion and emotion. Your comments on the production are rewarding too and being a percussionist myself I can always accommodate louder drums!! In this case however I just wanted the vocal to shine and hope I've managed to achieve that.
Thanks again for stopping by - much appreciated.
Best

on Basso Continuo by Evisma
The synthetic midi drums in my opinion sounded very cool with the real bass. The update and additional features sound complete E.
Mostly enjoyed the second half of this, though there's a section in the fist that had me thinking deep. 1:13 - 1:55.
The more involved groove at 0:47 - 1:09 and 1:56 - 2:17 doesn't sound bad, adds to the the flavor of the track and a quick change of scene which is cool, just not really connecting to that piece to well after hearing the other two badass sections for me.
Thanks for referring me here, Interesting share and take from the other songs from your page. Yeah man, more bassage, because you're like a lead bassist which ain't bad, pretty cool. Good work here Evisma. Peace.

Makes me think to some Paradise Fallen: Humans Disease. This is really interesting. Like how you got the instruments moving yet steady holding together. Wonder to wander music here. Nice outro I've heard in a bit, adds to the mystery.
Good delivery of ideas here, cool vocals too, aside from the lyrics that song hits another level of the conscious, expand your views kinda product. Thanks for sharing, Peace.
Thank you again for listening and nice words. I appreciate that. A.

on Play It Hard- feat Benito Layton by srob1234
Levels sound really clear, clean. Are these loops dl or created yourself? Thanks for sharing, play it hard tonight! Peace.
Some of the loops were dl, and some I created. All were mixed together by me though.
And I made a HUGE boo-boo! I forgot to shout out to those who made the loops I downloaded, so to all those loopers out there...I can't remember each one that I used from... sorry! (yikes!)... but I credit you, and you are amazing!!! :)

I noticed when the track hits 9:00 the master volume gets a overload feel. I dig it, just letting you know it's noticeable a bit too much. It's the delayed guitar it starts exactly at 9. Goes with the following distorted guitar though.
Is that a voice sample or synth? Interesting sound and affect to the track. Dig the chillness of the beginning half of the track. Cool drum work in this one. Really clear and visionary. The music as whole does take you beyond our own world and into another place. I can't really describe all the pieces you put into this but I can say every piece carefully played sounds great man. The switches is great too. When funk hops.
Thanks for sharing, I dig it. How you been SN? Peace.
I'm quite happy to hear of your problem with the new lead bass guitar section starting on 9:00. It's one of those transitions that I just couldn't get quite right.
I'm not sure if there is a problem with the volume jumping a lot but I will listen again. I seem to remember that there's a problem with the synth choir cutting out a bit so that it feels like a bit of an abrupt jump to take us into that new bass guitar part (one I very much enjoy). I should go back and fiddle to see if improvements can be made.
At 9:24 I keep pretty much the same bass riff going (with some variations) and simply turn the plugin distortion on. No guitar there, just bass as it's doing all the work of the guitar and we have synth bass underneath for low end (as in most of the track). I love to take things a bit badass and I think I've got that section labelled as something like 'euphoric bass riffage' in my Reason project. Definitely a highlight.
And then the distortion gets automated off as we drop back down into another variation on that bass playing.
"Is that a voice sample or synth?"
Technically, it may sort of be both. I'm just using one synth patch but it's granular synthesis so look up what that is, if you don't know. Basically, the waveform is, I think, made up of tiny little pieces of audio. In this case, it's female choir voices. Powerful sound and I apply pitch bend at various points to make it weirder and more psychedelic.
Yes, pretty damn chilled for a few minutes and then the heat gets turned up a bit. Got to happen so that things don't get boring and so that things can go up and down in intensity and mood.
"Cool drum work in this one"
Yes. Yet again, I'm using a couple of hip hop kits from the Hip Hop EZX. Great stuff but this only sounds a bit like hip hop in places. If you listen closely you can hear that some kit parts are clearly hip hop-associated drums though I add some other rock and metal kits as well.
"How you been SN?"
I've been OK thanks, just finishing up the editing and mixing of another female vocal jazz track from 4 years ago called The Second Law Of Self Love. This one's better than the jazz female vocal one I posted last week (Inner Beauty) and will be arriving in 128K MP3 format at a Looperman website near you in a few days. Two singers this time and the swinging jazz is very deep.
Thanks for your interesting thoughts.
on Doobie Juice by Evisma
Really like the way the odd synths played in the beginning up till 0:40. Reminded me to some plexi synth sounds. Pushes the groove to another level when you added the guitars and bass. Can hear your style yet you're moving differently this time which is cool. Maybe it's because of the couple kits that change in good time twist n turns make it more interesting.
Like the percs man, nice movement with them. For me the intro would be my smoking point to this jam. Man, your tracks keep getting more evolved I kinda miss the old days ha. Got the bio going to this. Thanks man, I think all the sections build together nice and does sound like a smoked out trip. The different thoughts, the different things to do. At the 2:50 section that was cool how you got the guitar layered and accompany you. Some rockin stuff Mr E.
Very vivid sounds, can easily put this to moving pictures and wouldn't seem wrong. Nice outro. Epic chill. Ha. Thanks man, Thought you did a great job, nice thumb piano. Peace.
When you say you 'miss the old days', was that before I started using midi kits and virtual instruments and added guitar? When I started, it was drum loops and the bass guitar. Nothing else. I may have been more inventive and crafty with making the bass sound like something else. I'm not offended by the statement, it just made me curious.
Glad you liked it. I'll try to get it back to mostly bass guitar for the main instrument. If you like that more, you should check out my track "Basso Continuo". Nothing but bass guitar. Straddle your woofer for guaranteed sterilization.
Good to hear from you again. And yes, the intro IS the smoking, and the release of the days pressure hits at like 2:58. it's the "Aaahhhhhh...." moment when the boss, moronic vehicle drivers, the spouse, and general past frustrations melt away.
Hope all is well with you. Thanks for the consideration and the review. It is appreciated.
Later, masturbater.

on secrets of resonance featuring megapaul by promenade2239
Like what you did with MP's Guitars. Definitely you're bringing something different and cool to the table. Nice work. Thanks for sharing this with us. Agree a good mix of artists. Peace.
Haha it is not a real Theremin (from around 1:28) but just a Roland Juno Di theremin preset. I decided to use this sound on the top as it blends in nicely with other synth-guitar and background ambient sounds in the lower range. Overall it was entirely made on the same roland sound engine. And of course I tried to stick with the Megapaul's guitar colors as possible.
really glad you liked this production.

The 2nd section is something cool as well, Like how you did the part at 2:30 to 2:43. Thought I was listening to someone play some retro systems. The part right after is a lost trip haha, thought when the piano returns its great, kind of halloween townish. Dig the mix of ideas here. Thanks for sharing. Peace.
on T45-Omar-Soundhound Project by soundhound
As is its good, still sounds a little bit empty.Maybe from time to time in the mix it would be cool to add one more piece of variety to keep grooving more lively.
Good efforts and fusing to sounds TG. Thanks for sharing. Peace.
and clinical...It was just fun...
I agree I had a few other guitars in there, couldn't make them dance
so I dropped them out...
Got a few other things on the go, got to get down on them before
the summer wind blows... :-)
Thanks for stopping in and your comment:

Did like the sonic trip. Thanks for the share. This is one of the good previews from you. Is this made from some type of video media? Really could hear this in the background of some future retro adventure game.
