on KEEP IT MOVING by kingmt77
Mark i didn't expect anything less, that jumped out my speakers on 9.5 secs, great sound-stage. i know I'm repeating myself, but from my earliest comments to you, i always mentioned the space that you give each instrument, they all shine on their turn in the spotlight but simply sit alongside each other in such a tight jam, love all the little riffs and touches , the percs, your sound design is excellent.
jazz is in your heart as we know, so i don't expect you to be away from it to long, it will drag you back in, but i am now looking forward to what genre your going to bring, do you have a plan in mind or are you just gonna go on feeling, whatever you choose is irrelevant really because i know it will be a knocking piece anyway, well done yet again bruv a good friend and a wonderful talent within our community

Paul! Your listening ear and critique is always treasured. It's also a high honor for this track to give those PreSonus speakers a good breaking in! LOL! It's good you found everything in tip top order. I can count on you to let me know if my levels are out of whack.

What I'm feeling is an world/cinematic/classical/ambient/ with just a pinch of jazz thrown in for good measure. I'm still hashing out the ideas. The encouragement and compliments are received humbly. I do what I do just for the listeners like you bruv! Have A Chilled Weekend my friend!

Thank you Paul! It's funny how I'm circling back to making instrumentals and really enjoying it. Vocals are just too painful :D (even though I sing live regularly these days)

on A Random Act Of Kindness by BullittVolante
love the intro synth Bullitt, and the bass entry coming after was cool they are so tight together and i do like a track that builds, you can see its about to go off and this does, great sounding authentic electronic work and being a hip hop dancer for years EDM and electronic music was an integral part too, your intro i could strobe to, well i did lol then i few side glides when the main body came, it a sort of Litmus test, if i can dance to it, its good in my opinion, good work bruv

Hi Dimestop, thanks for listening to my track and leaving some feedback, it's always appreciated. Glad you liked the track. I do like to build some tracks up and try to keep things interesting, as all my stuff is instrumental. Thanks again.

on You Lied - feat EbethB by fanisatt
nice work, your pop creations are high calibre Fani, hobbyist or not, you are a remarkable talent because you find a vocal and then artistically build your music around it, your always a worthy listen, most of us are hobbyists, with a few exceptions of course but we have all created a great community of which you play an integral part, EbethB' vocal was nicely incorporated, I'm sure she will like the result if she is still about

Thanks Mate. I was able to record this one 26 years ago on a Sony MDMX minidisc recorder (4 track) and recently mastered it in Acid Pro. I love the Korg MS2000 as a synth and especially as a Bass instrument with modulation and pitch wah.

hello Micky, this must have been hosted when i wasn't about, its exactly what i expected from two of my very good long time associates and friends, it has that authentic sound that your works always have, love your vocal as I always have, this is funky and jazzy with swing, as you said, the melody is great the bass is excellent and the drums and percs are class, the depth of your mixes and layout are unquestionable, I have always looked on you with high esteem my friend, your talented along with Robbie you are a duo who i love to listen to and a stella sax too, whats not to like

Hi Paul, great to hear from you. Yeah, I guess were among the dinosaurs around here. By the way: whats going on with Cincocent? For years, he used to post a new track here almost every day, and now I haven't heard anything from him at all for such a long time. I hope hes doing okay.
Anyway, right now Im in the process of digging out all my older tracksat least the ones I still consider worth keepingand giving them a refresh, since Ive picked up quite a few new things lately. I really enjoy watching Gregory Scotts tutorials (House of Kush); somehow he has such a chill way of talking about specific mixing challenges... and watching them has really helped me spot quite a few mistakes of my own. Even if I weren't rich and famous (well, Im already good-looking!), producing, mixing, and mastering music is simply a fulfilling pursuitone that always helps take my mind off lifes troubles, especially now that Im well into my retirement years... hehehe.
Ill go check right now to see what nice new music youve got out there.
Cheers,
Micky

of course Frans we will work together in the future for sure, listening again today i here other things i never heard lastime, little delicate
touches as I studied the music composition, its a fine work that rising melodic synth that first hits at 1.22 is so fresh and raises my spirits everytime, thankyou for the collab but more for the inspiration you personally gave me, it was a busy month for dime and TheFrenz musically joined, but a successful one. and Manuela's comment about playing equal parts is important here, its OUR song, I also think that has been recognised in the comments, your talents are liked within our community you produce with your heart like i sing with mine and this combination produced a lovely cinematic experience for the listener, i would also encourage you to work with others too, i think you may get requests and guys if anyone is considering it, this man is a great choice, he works quietly in the back ground and informs you on progress and ask for feedback, he questions have i captured you correct is the vibe ok do the drums hit, true professional i highly recommend him

really nice work, guitar intros are so freakin good Chris, as artist we all have self doubts, i have felt yours too listening to your recent work bruv you should have no doubts your work is structured well laid out and great instrumentatation and professionalism, i have liked all your work, but I am blown away here, absolute fantastic production yes the music drums guitars bass are all great but you vocal performance was so powerful here a beautiful track delivered with such professionalism, i am not the biggest heart giver here, you really have to impress me to get a like from my cold heart lol, but you managed to get me here, wow, stunnin bro.

You cant imagine how much satisfaction your comment gives me. Thank you very much for the support. Were truly happy that artists like you appreciate and encourage our work. I should say that were quite closely bonded as a group. Of course, many things can still be improved. Beyond the performances themselves, we need better equipment, a proper recording space, and proper mastering. Well see what the future brings. For now, though, were managing the best we can this way. Take care, my friend. Warm greetings from everyone in the LINEAR FADE Band.

hi Franz and all the LM family, its 3.12am , i have just returned home after an evening with friends, i made a coffee and rolled a joint as the laptop booted up, i smoke a joint for my medication, to relax me along with music otherwise i would be on meds to help me chill, my doctor 30 years ago told me he would rather i smoked a couple of joints of an evening than take the meds he perscribed as they are more damaging, i am currently taking opiods to control the pain from sciatica, Im off my face from 8am they are so powerful, i see why people get hooked, i won't guys, trust me.
we have been drawn together thro music Frans each have inspired each other, and this idea as i told you privately is a breath of fresh air, they way you intepreted it was fire, as i sang it to a slow r&b beat just for timing Paul is an anxious man at times but i promote mental health, i dare myself to be brave and dime gives me that outlet, they say i have a way with words, well plain and simple, i love this family like my own my intentions were to help build a community, to have the talent i have had the pleasure of working with is the highlight for me, to get a few listen was my goal, that would have been good enough, to of had the response that i have had as not only amazed me but as improved me as a person too, i am far calmer when i'm working beats and writing, my confidence has grown and my mental health has improved enormously, I am so proud to be associated with this track, the message is clear you all have a gift, be proud of yourselves for putting yourself up on a pedastal to be counted by others, that's brave. i thank you first bruv and i then thank all our friends for inspiring us to keep going,

on Jazz Waves ft Steve Bone and Ben Edwards by Cosmo
i so remember the arrival of MTV, it revolutionized the way music was consumed, you could or maybe should be a billionaire my friend and yes before vids, lots of 8mm, i studied audio visual at college wanted to be a film editor kind, behind the camera lol, but i settled for a wife family and steady job, i destroyed my marriage after 21 years, and was divorced, i hold no grudges, i always had an eye for the ladies, i also relise i must of had the lines too as i get a lot of credit for my descriptive story telling here at LM years later, I'm a good father, an absolute knock out grandfather to 4, i found music at 14 and was a streetdancer, i left home at 18, i worked holiday camps doing displays and teaching youngster moves, i settled in Birmingham my EX's city at 22. I only found LM and music production at 55, I'm now 60. i love this place, keeps me young and feeling alive, it lets me relieve some of the weight i carry, i call it shining a light on hurt, and many reflect on my words because they too have felt hurt, i suppose i have always loved music of some kind, i was also tipper of my boys brigade band and the sea cadet corps i was registered to, i played at navy days at HMS Collingwood in Portsmouth as a 16 year old, a friend said to me the other day, you are a great advert for the older gen and your bars are better than lots half your age earning big bucks,
they'll have to drag me out of here now, I'm gonna be the rapper at my own funeral 3 hearses pumping out the tunes and all the mourners poppin and breakin in the cemetery lol
i came into this world with a bang and i sure wanna leave with one

Cosmo i don't wish to crush your page comment section but i happened to press the link to your page, Cosmoandfriends, i am truly impressed with your pedigree and your whos who of acquaintances, i also feel extremely obliged and moreso now that you have actually listened to me but also commented on my humble offerings, i know Alan Mair bassist of the Only Ones personally, they had a number one hit with another girl another planet 1978, he is a good friend of my younger brother who is an actor and an extremely good pianist, he also played keys for Alan Mair at a huge concert in Edinburgh a few years ago when a scotch producer passed, he played Annie Lennox and Dave Stewarts set too, the lucky bastard, it was supposed to be the brand new heavies pianist but he took sick and my brother got the opportunity as he was there, but Alan actually said to my brother when i released some of my earliest stuff total rookie, tell Paul to tone down the reverb and delay on his vocal, it masks the character in the actual voice, it might sound cool, but experience will teach him, that is not the finish he needs, he did add tell him it is every Rookies first mistake, not bad eh from one of Britians best ever bass guitarists and personal friends with some of the biggest rock stars on the planet. your experience speaks volumes my friend having this valuable experience in our community is not only priceless but worth mentioning, hence the reason i point it out and it gave me another listen to the track as i wrote you, that brass bass is fire mate and the trumpet well it just simply trumpets

dimestop, I want to stress most of these people were just like me looking for a break in show business. They were acquaintances and some friends. I grew up with them, and some I went to school with such as Stevie Nicks. Some groups like Jefferson Airplane were 5 years older than me, so I didn't come in contact with them. One member of the Grateful Dead might have taught music at the local music store (Eddie Kramer's Music World). Somehow, we got involved with Acoustic Amplifiers, so when we went to LA we went backstage at a Doors concert at the Aquarius Theatre. This was just normal stuff. Without my "fear nothing" mother, Marie, and Pete Marino, the famous SF Bay Area record promoter, none of it would have happened. And I left the music scene at 24 and went to work in Silicon Valley. I didn't keep up those contacts. 50 years later I've tried to recontact, but some have died. Lastly, I should be in the Rock and Roll Hame of Fame (won't happen). The research has been done. In 1971, I was the first music producer to create a music video on video tape (before that music was made on film). I went all over Hollywood playing my 3-song music video to all sorts of music executives including Leon Russel, Shelter Records. This was 10 years before MTV went on the air. If I had a hit record maybe they would consider it. It's all just fond memories. Retired now for over 12 years, I just do music as a hobby. I admire you, Brother Mark, Manuela, the Squadd, many more here on LM. I just thank people for listening. Best always to you, Cosmo

its good to see my two great friends joining their talent together, an idea can be visualized so many different ways by creative people, the band are really playing a part in our community of late, Manuela being the catalyst for a lot of it, and i think all who have had the pleasure of working with them have been more than pleased with the results, we have a good group Robin with an enormous amount of talent of which you are integrated fully, when i first joined i thought lots of you were the finished articles then, i'm 6 years in and everyone has improved hugely, we have all learnt from each other, while sharing our support of peoples individual talents, i honestly can't remember the last time i purchased music as i have so much more choice from colleague's i know and believe in, it feels more personally listening to friends also because most of the time you know the story behind the work, you commented on my very first work bro, we have been friends for a long time, and I still love listening to you today

Juan you have only recently joined our community and your just the type we need, you take part with your music, but also commenting and inspiring others, that is in itself what this place is all about, we all want feedback no matter how skilled or unskilled we are, its not just a community its a team around you that will support you to bring your best results, you have been a big plus, i have been around for a while, and i have only ever promoted this platform and its people, we are all the same, no one is bigger than no one else, one of the purest joys i found was giving back to others that asked. if you need answers just ask somebody will know the answers anyone is searching, not that you need much help bruv, don't underestimate yourself you are a talented guy and i have been waiting since Sirefox, for another artist representing Spain, your the chosen one, you have been a good listen,

Thank you so much for your kind words. At my age, it's hard to get emotional about anything, and you've managed to bring tears to my eyes.

I never thought about anyone listening to my music; it was just for myself, for my own satisfaction, something I'd wanted to do my whole life but never had the time for. A couple of months ago, I discovered Looperman while looking for samples to start creating simple things that would help me learn. I wouldn't have signed up if it weren't so I could thank Odarka for the inspiration she gave me with her voice in my first song. And this discovery, which I made by chance, has become an addiction for me; I'm hooked on you all, haha. As soon as I have a free moment from my housework (taking care of the animals), I log on to see what you've uploaded. I've discovered a whole new world here, a world of great artists who don't have advertising or big record labels behind them, but who deserve it more than others who are in the media. I haven't bought music in ages. I'm from the AC/DC, Deep Purple, and Pink Floyd era. I think the last thing I bought was R.E.M., Dire Strait, or Mike Oldfield. But when I hear what Manuela does in True Sister Band or Chris in Linear Fade, I'd buy it right now if it were in the store.

I'm glad I found this place, and I hope to keep finding time to learn and not disappoint you all.

Best regards, Juan Carlos

on The Only Way Home Ft Richard Shekari by Pnnywze
great collab between two of my boys, Aaron the trap music and beat are great and Richard's vocal carries a deepness a struggle with warmth and sincerity from a bear of a man, with the warmest heart in our community

Tripple describes it as beautiful christiian rap and i get that description, and would go along with it, but I know Richard he is so much more than a christian singer, he never forces his beliefs on others, he only ever brings his feelings about how he personally feels when he found his guide in life, its his believable edge and how he portrays HIS feelings that shine thro, that makes him an attractive listen, he's an inspiring guy and i think our community benefits from having him within it,

i am probably the least religious person on our platform because i have far too many unanswered question but I believe what i was brought up to believe and that is the lord Richard sings about,
you also show your diversity bruv, not every creative mind would have paired trap with religion, I salute you for that idea because this is a strong offering, and I'll finish with a phrase I'm not familiar with saying, but feel is worthy here, God Bless You Both for sharing this work
Pnnywze
Pnnywze replied 8th May 2026 - 2 weeks ago
Hey Paul - I appreciate your insight, my friend. A person's spiritual journey is a personal one, and often is difficult to put words to. Richard is an absolute master at it. Your description of him is right on the mark - he sings about the joy of his personal journey, and that is what he wants to share with others. And he's a great person, easy to work with, and humble. I want to show my true ability, and that I can work with vocalists from different genres. This song is the product of openness and creativity, and Im glad its shining. God Bless you, and everyone else in the community.

your joy is clear my brother, you deliver your production with a 100 lief in your faith, I applaud you for the warmth you bring to this community too, you have this genre on lock here at LM and irrelevant of anything, language barriers, countries etc, we all have usually one thing in common, we all have, A Lord, you sing about the one i was taught to believe in, not that Im of a strong religous sort but i also know that having a religious faith is huge all around the world, only fools question its believers, you also don't need to be a disciple to practise its teachings, being kind and respectful to all should be common practice, were supposed to be the educated, sometimes I have to question that, keep spreading love bruv

I genuinely appreciate this message, my brother. Words like these stay with a person, and Im truly thankful for the understanding behind them. One thing Ive always loved about music is how it can tear down walls people build between each other different countries, cultures, languages, or beliefs and still speak directly to the soul. At the end of the day, love, respect, humility, and kindness should matter more than anything else. Im glad the heart behind my music comes across the way its intended. Faith may mean different things to different people, but treating others with compassion should never go out of style. Big respect to you as well for carrying that mindset and bringing such positive energy into the community. Comments like this are what make LM feel more human. Much love and respect, brother.

Ben Edwards is an exceptional trumpet player. He backed up Amy Winehouse. He travels professionally all over the world with multiple groups and works as a studio musician. You can find videos on him on YouTube. I've said this before, Ben is a professional friend of mine. What is a "professional friend"? It means I have to pay him to be my friend. He's definitely worth what I pay him. He has appeared on many of my tracks over the years. Thank you for recognizing him. He's also from the UK. Cosmo
