great title to start with, from the beginning on i dig the tune. ambiance is vital, pleasing. percussion is done nicely, subtlety appreciated. Prolonged synths match real good with the accentuation and I think i found a new favorite track. This one is so well coordinated! everything is in place, that provides it with huge intensity and hidden energy. Much love to this piece of work, can't wait to get it on my mp3, I want to have it anytime anywhere. Big respect for sharing this wonderful music.
Wow! I like it when someone falls in love with something you create. It let's me know that I did my job to please the listener. This encourages me to make more music like this. Maybe I can try to take Slap's advice and try to add some vocals to this track. I really appreciate it that you were able to describe what you liked about the track. Have fun listening to it on your mp3 Player.
I like the bells and the beat, that synth at start dont really fit in, i think if i were horrendously mashed up on drugs i would hear this track whole day long, but atm I find it merely pleasant. the powerful synth around 1.39 is pure awesomeness, definitely appreciate this track, i like the drop dynamic in here, yet think that the beat can be heavier at some point. perhaps more staggering, a phat 16 or something would do good occasionally in my view, overall i dig this piece, love the tiny end part with only the beat, that could be longer.
Appriciate your review, glad to know you liked it. I'll see what i can do in the way of changes, fix a things up. The reason the end is so short is because all my songs lead into each other and the next song will start with that same drum beat. Thanx for the review!
sounds like good work, i like the overall feel, somehow wish it was lighter by mastering (bass) - i can totally imagine a nice female vocal in here, but this is very pleasant too. the vibe/mood here is orgasmic, i like the use of delay and sax is sex here, good dynamics, definitely chilled out track, sparkles all around, speaking of which, I somehow think sounds of nature would really fit to be accents in this track. I think a lot of people will associate relaxation with nature, he he I'm giving my self ideas here, or is it just a good inspiration?
Thank you so much for your comments! The nature sounds is an interesting thought. I may add some to the track to see how that sounds. Thanks for the suggestion :)
The vocals are very well implemented, i totally do not dig the melody at the start. However the background flanger is awesome. the bass could sound a tiny bit more variating, mastering is purrfect though. Love the vibe and the energy, just feel it could use a tiny bit more attention on tuning the frequencies or the vocal, accents are well done. This track makes me think of meatballs-loopy. anyway-delay is well incorporated here, keep it up, i dig your style.
totally digging that transition man, i like how the pitch comes in, pure awesomeness how it flows into bass. I yhink you definatly got what you aimed for. ye i know the feelin' it's like loosing a red thread in the grey. nice stuff, im not fond of the dynamics in this one during the second half, but the first part and overal feel are totally nailed in me view.
diggin the sharpness, bubbling reminds me of a bong! anyhoe, i'd smudge the top frequencies with a bit of tight reverb but bass is nice and promiment. Funky stuff, def enjoyable
good stuff! I really like the notch in here, fancy the tribal scene a bit less, but its very well implemented in my view. the prolonged sirens around 1.30 and after 2.00 are the bomb. the fx at 2.40+ and 2.51 i like the most. (Yet..) liking the composition, liking the individual sounds and it leaves a good feeling behind when it ends, still i'd have to turn down composition on this one if i had to choose. Maybe its a taste thing, but i think its because of the bass, yes the bass is one thing in here which i couldn't really fit in, its cut nicely but something about doesnt turn me on as much as the rest. hey how about a small collab? I would love to do something with the track, using short bass cuts and implementing new sounds. My inspiration would be william orbit's work, strange hinterland cargo album. It's just tempting, throw me a word if you're up for it. A very inspiring piece of work here.
Hey Neon, hows iy going there? thanks for stopping by and listening here, greatly apperacte the review also! yeah iam allways up for anything fun and creative! ,what ever ideas ya have throw at me! iam ready, allways something new and to experience!
nice name of the track, not my kind of bubble break, but when it gets going with the fx and vocals its pleasant, nice how you vary out of the bubbling with those fx. Then the atmos gets real good, awesome vibes, cool stretching sounds. First I thought this ain't something I should comment on, but now I see its quite an original, progressive track and well done too. It brings up real weird and cool memories in me, which i didnt have before -guess I'm feeling the tune. I really like the sub synth. One thing that doesnt bother, but I would've done differently is the matching of the instruments together, but nothing should disturb this vibe! good stuff it is. Towards the end it feels like a good house session that should last longer, i like the vibe in here very much, especially in the middle.
love this tune, hit me up about a collab, the feel in here is sublime. Very profound atmosphere, I really like this sort of stuff. It sounds casual but still original, good work.
yaws this is on, electrifying, love it. Pushy vibes. In fact, this track is so sweet I would love to see how the instruments are made and maybe mix it with one of my tracks, which has same kinda atmos but is just on the empty side, a tiny bit, it would make a great composition together in my opinion-called Grains 7, check it out. Further on I wish yer track was longer, it's really drawing me towards and inside it, am really crazy about these kinda tunes. Which freq is the core, 500-800h? Anyhow, real nice work man. Totally into it.
Thanks I greatly appreciate that man. And as far as the instruments, just a lot of random things I threw together in reason including sound effect, a rather simple beat that came together in a short amount of time. I also have a longer version i'll be uploading it soon im sure. I'll also make sure to check out your track as well, take it easy, Peace.
B.K.
Loving the atmos in here, such a great 70s basic bass beat feel mixed with new age accents, sort of a limp bizkit feel if them would be load more funky. Ah man, great melody lines within the vocals and the overal flow is reel satisfying. This rocks, wishing I could download. great great work.
edit:
can't believe there're so little comments on this, helluva cool piece of sound this is.
Thanks a lot my beats are short because im still working on structuring my beats and trying to make them songs or hold verses. by the way lucky feathers?
omg, I really like the flow of this song and the melody, but really don't like the info sang. Except for that it sounds reel great to me, love how contrasty it is, yet in the flow. Good work, but the vocal's just radical imo:p
woot great intro, intensely splendid start, cool voice cuts. grooving on this, ye, bass is sparky this is great. I'd mske the middle cuts more heavy and differently shaped but all together sounds like a good composition bass kick around 3.30+ is awesome
no idea how I missed your tracks before, fully diggin your style and approach. This track appeals the least so far, but its still very good, probably different mood setting. I would play with the drums a bit more here, but hell I know the feeling when you're just out of it and wanan start on something new. Keep it up Ray!
I'm now really a fan of your work and the thinking behind it. Digging this track, very good binding together of the instruments in my opinion, yet another unique feel to it. I recently read and replied to your comment about arising of inspiration and now I'm intensely curious about your way of going about it too. Your music seems very near my idea of perfection, good twitch of subtlety in here too.
I have an old sketch with a political message in it, plucked from an old film, think it's quite widely used, but you can catch my version here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTwCk2OVU1M It's made at the very beginning of my interaction with sound though, but I like how it turned out even a year later - notice the dynamics in there.
To be honest I find the vocals being the least fitting instrument in your track here, yet it's not taking away anything at all. It is odd indeed, but not unpleasant. Sounds like a gateway to me, can't really get more precise than that. Very much like the vibe in here, though serenity isn't at place here, the synths are still moderated very well. Took me a few times of hearing to get the full picture of the track and it grew on me, nice one! I would probably sharpen up the dynamics in here according to the vocal, but that's my taste and probably has to do with how you built it up. Cheers man, very glad you're around, peace.
That clip is neat. The vocals remind me of that old cartoon Dangermouse for some odd reason (and I knowthat "I'm mad as hell..." line from somewhere, if you still have the clip try playin with it to where it becomes less recognizable, like I did with the "The only thing we have to fear..." line here). The drums are vaguely familiar. Kinda makes me think of early techno of like 88 or 89. The sound qual makes me think of those "Garage DJs" (something about the reverb off those walls).
As for where my head's at with mixing. I dunno man, its just in my blood I guess. An artist born from artists, ya know. And oddly, I never look for perfection. More along the lines of organized chaos (or as Bob Ross would say- "Just a bunch of happy accidents."). It isn't something alot of people like to embrace (the way our cultures are groomed from birth), but it'll generate their attention none-the-less. Like you said about the vocals here...
They're out of place, yet they fit. In fact, at times it seems that this is less of a musical piece, but more a show (with music in the background). I could possibly do some tweeking on this (to improve on the mix) and might even post a version without the speech. Though I suspect that this would still be the better. Anyways, glad ya dug it. Later on!
From the start of it i can feel a broad connection of the elements in here and i think it's well compiled so far. It gives me a pleasant, quite a relaxing mood. Can't really describe it, but the feel of it is different from what I've listened to today. I find it a perfect background for contemplation and idealistic thinking, partially due to it's brown, balanced vibe. Maybe I'm just in the mood for that, yet somehow this is exactly what I wanted to hear. I like how you break the borders here, if to describe it, like i personally describe my own work for my self, it's very free in the sense of breaking away from any self set limitations, I guess you know what you're doing. It's only recent that I try to really finish off my tracks before release though. As for mixing suggestions, the vocals by Dirty Vegas seem fitting and can really put the current melody in it's rightful place in my opinion. Overall I just really enjoy this one, it would probably go well with a wide variety of things, am curious how it will sound with further changes.
Actually, I only half-know what I'm doing, haha. That's a technique I often employ- go into a project with one eye closed, as it were... Makes for better results I've found. To always mess with some unknown, from an effects combination I've never done before to mixing different genres together to see how it plays out or fooling around with a completely new and alien genre.
The structure of this is simple and is based on the midi grid of 32 counts (grid spaces) per measure. Divide that puppy down and you have the makings for each section of the song. I use 1 full measure for the pads and 1/16th for the bass. The "Brown vibe" probably comes from the formula I used for the key placement (since its commonly found in nature and throughout the universe). As for the Dirty Vegas vocals idea, I rather like it and may know just the person to ask for help with that. Glad ya dug it. Later on!
this is captivating, is it the flow or the fitting break and the totally in tune chorus or what, but the vibe is nailed nicely. Real good job, personally i think its great work, i think this is going straight to my player when i get home. Sounds honest, from the heart and polished, what can i say, this takes me way back and thank you for that!
