Hey XLanDer.
Firstly: Thanx for the vibes, man :)
If you want to invest your time, feel free to work on the track. On the soundcloud you can download the track in 320kbps. Just write a PM if you'd prefer to work with the wav ;-)

another to my fav's list, if your wondering what maybe giving this track and the one before it the odd breaking up of your signal within the tracks i would bet its overloading of certain inputs of fx and or reverb plug ins. not every plug shows or gives an indicator of the levels coming into or out of the plug in. if you have any plug that just show you levels via a visual dislay place the level metering plug before and or after the fx plug on a certain track that may sound to you like its breaking up at the peak of the sounds dynamic range. place a limiter before the plug to but in saying that a similar type of thing is more than likely going to be present at the limiters input. this is happening on your fx placed on aux sends not the fx you may have placed on inserts. dial back the amount of signal on your aux sends till this stops being present in your tracks. the level metering plug in placed before the effect on the send will show you how much signal you have to reduce but your ears can fix this without the need for it really. im pretty sure thats what is going on here, better to send a moderate signal to a effect from a send and bring the effect return or output fader up more in a digital environment of mixing and recording than putting a hot signal that clips the effects input to make your effect stand out. its quite a common problem that happens making tunes in the box with effects that dont give you level readings. great track tho hope these tips helped ..........................!1X1!....................

really like this its a great peace of music as i myself am not musically trained i have to give my respect to the few who get through all the years of practice makes perfect and still are able to create their own original works instead of just being able to play what others have done before them, but play it well. always liked the egyptian and easter scales for their hypnotic effect so this grabbed me right from the start. the fact that the production is right up there among the best i have listened to here, is a big hats of to you my friend. last but not least is the guitar magic produced here on this track and you nailed the sound as well as the skilled playing technique right on the head. if anything you listen to from my stock pile here appeals or you hear riffs while listenig in your head im total opening the book to say go for it to any of my work. so much want to add guitar and bass in with my own works. IN BUBBLES had a friend of mine playing on it, but i cant nail him down to do more, he's busy with his own stuff anyhow. ill be back to here much more you have on offer here. my works past and present can be found at soundcloud many are still developing they should stand out as being more minimal in nature to finished tracks. PISTON which you reviewed of mine is a skeleton track to which ill work on more but a good example of the fact i like to get thing presentable even at an earlier stage of development. its good for the listeners who prefer more minimal listening adventures than the layer cakes my ears love so much. top stuff anyhow.. forgot to mention after all that that the stuff at sound cloud is mostly 16bit/44khz and open to download too if you do like a track and would like to add to. bravo im a fan will fav this and download if possible.........!1X1!...........

Thanks for the listen & the comments XLanDer! I checked out your Soundcloud page and had a listen to a few of your tracks. Yes I'm up for working with you on something! The track I like in particular is 'Space hopper' I can "hear" lots of possibilities with that! Give me a shout via my contact page (we need to arrange file formats etc)and we'll go from there.

how are ya fellow aussie, was checking out some members from our corner of the globe this time around in my travels at looperman im from the west coast and live in Perth, saw your track and my little buddy weaselbeats and his weasetreats making a guest appearance in this track. he's a buddy of mine on facebook now and fellow libra. i started my journey at the same age as him too, i share tracks and any wisdom that may be of help towards his way to world domination, this track reminded me of jam and spoon in their hey day. a tip that i shared with weasel that i know helps a track stand up and out in the clubs when you have to compete against artists well established whom have a budget to afford mortgage worthy gear of their own or studio time and pro-mastering, is layering the elements of a track once your happy with the arrangement, flow, and the right amount of notation within the various synths and drum section elements of the mix. its not a case of adding more tracks with new riffs etc. often leading to cluttering or making the focus of the track become confused. its about making what is the key elements really stand up and show there face as to why they are there in the first place. try this even if it only be on the drum track and its notation with a ear on the kick and snare accenting above the other percussive elements if you choose to layer them. iwould probably make the percussive element of the new layer subtle and spikey. shorter by nature of the drums of the original layer. finding another loop that has the same rhythmic qualitys but a differing tonal quality can do the same type of thing. being from a d.j. back ground you will more than likely have a good ear for this if programming is not your cup of tea, that can take many years at first to come to terms with the programming aspect of electronic music. this is meant not as criticism i got into your track and just mean to share 20 odd years of my own journey and learning along the way, if your aiming for your music hitting the dance floor it has more to do with getting a good understanding of the tips mentioned above than it does expensive toys and it should help your stuff take on the big boys. check out some tunes if you have time to as i use these techniques to explore new ground and purposely push layering to the foreground to expose what other producers mainly keep to beefing up elements to make them stand out or poke thru the mix. i kind of do stuff like the orb if i had to pin a sound to what i do. keep up the good work and i hope the tips work for you. peace....................................!1X1!.............................

this is a smashing effort, i agree with nickQ's tips about reverb and delay. a lot of top producers know that a short room or plate reverb. a medium to long hall or stage/ambience reverb. and two delay units one with sorter tap times and one with longer tap types, can glue elements within a mixdown far better and quicker than giving each track in the song its own delay and or reverb. distortions and modulation type fx generally fit the job of adding color, movement or tone to individual tracks in a mix. because your voice is an instrument, which i loved by the way, finding the right dash splash or smear of reverb, trickle splatter or tunnel of echo or delay even chorus or light harmonizer effect is worth investing time into. peter gabriel has a chorus effect which he came across in his early days, its still used every time he needs to get his sledge hammer voice on. janes addiction is a good example of the delerium and extra projection a long tap delay with a bloom of reverb around it. i loved this mix tho perfect and polished losses to character and this mix has bags of it, grabbed a download and fav"ed. thanx for reviewing a loop of mine to. i would like to do something with your vocals if your keen we can chat more. girl power! regards............................................!1X1!.............................

my friend i had a good listen to all 3 tracks and even though your still climbing the ladder when it comes to the finer skills of producing, your a man with his own ideas and are willing to try make a sound of your own. and lets face it, these days too many people whom have the years of production skills end up jumping on band wagons and think the only way im going to "make it" is by doing what is already "popular". to have ideas of your own is a skill far more important me thinks and will only make your ride easier as you gain more production skills along your path. in a world full of copy cats be an original. stop by anytime, ive been doing it my own way for many years, regards....................!1X1!......................

on Rewind Fast Forward Stop And Play by CrashTheSystem
my friend u have a great gift of the art of techno magic. i wouldn,t mess to much with the distortion you have created the right sound i think, iv'e been at it myself for 21 years, my tip would be to layer the distorted tracks with a dry copy of the original sounds before the distortion was applied. or go a step further by finding new dry {or slightly effected} sounds instead of using the originals as layers. i would do this to the kick drum 1st and foremost, bring both the distorted track and the dry layer down by -6db from where they sit in the mix and that should have your sounds at pretty much where you had the original mix levels. a lot of my work is a good demonstration as to what can be done with layering and advanced fx technique, stop by anytime. keep em pumping. regards........................!1X1!.................

isn't it fun stacking synths together. i love it. get round the back of reason and get the mods and l.f.o"s tweaking stuff between each of synths you have stacked 4 a sound that can have some mad results. try it if you have not already done so when your next working with reason. great track you did a great job getting a good sound out of reason. love your photo too ya nutta?.............!1X1!.......

hey mate great effort it has a nice feel and a sound of its own this 1. if you would like a couple of tips try eq'ing your kick drum with low shelving eq or a high pass filter eq at 30hz to 45hz and cut "not boost" the freq -6db to -12db. do the same with the bass line but cut at -60hz to -80hz. maybe experiment dipping freq in the bass line somewhere around 160hz-310hz, at a guess id say 260hz cut -2.5db with a wide bell peak useing a parametric eq on the bass will give it more definition. shelving the lows will give the bass end better placement and definition. id love to hear a tricky twinkley arp line or something along those lines to lift the arrangement from around the middle of the track onwards. thanks for the listen i like ya style hope the eq tips help..................!1X1!

this was fantastic, delays suit your style make sure you become good friends with that pedal make good use of him on future tracks, he doesnt like it being kept in dark closets knowing as each day passes he is another day closer to being hocked. this pedal has proved its worth. the universe was telling you something when you decided to pipe a track through a pedal. you wont often get told to do that at any audio engineering school. the universe guides you wisely. kind of ORBish this one, and i love my delays and i love the ORB, saw them and UNDERWORLD/KRAFTWORK for the first time ever at the start of the year. they had never come to the west of australia before then. much like this track it was magic..................!1X1!..........

another libra, i keep clicking on my fellow brothers today at random. like your style a lot my friend keep up the great work. great for a days work. would love to here the results if you spent another day or to with it too, i think this one could be squeezed for its magic {all things in good time:everything in its right place} tho. but if it calls back to you some time in the future to work on id say listen to your gut and go 4 it. mature work 4 a young lad, dont stop making tunes keep em coming........i have stuff at LD120 profile at looperman too if you drop past 4 a listen anytime........!1X1!.....

I'm just going to warn you that having multiple profiles can get you banned. I'm not going to do anything about it because I cant, but I think that you might need to delete one of your accounts before one of the mods or the admins delete them both.

I hope I don't come off looking like someone who complains all the time, in fact I'm just trying to help you out here. I'm glad that you liked the track, this song has been revisited several times, this is the only version I really like, but I have got some plans to revisit older songs.

Thanks for the review, sorry about complaining, I will take a listen, but I'm just telling you before the mods do. I will take a listen though to the tracks on the profile you mentioned.

this was unique, a special track really. if intuition every calls on you to take this one further dont ignore it if it knocks. special tracks for myself always have a doorway that can lead you to mystical magical places creatively. every so often that doorway swings open as a creative process begins to blossom and artists can trick themselves to believe that the flow of there creative energys should always come by in such manner. most magic doors unlock when the time is right and intuition is the locksmith that will hand you a key when the time is right. its taken many years to go by before ive finished certain things and its not for lack of interest or inspiration ive also finished things that where just as unique in a couple of weekends. anyhow....this track is special i think and maybe it could call you back to it to release some more magic, my gut felt a door here to explore when the time is right. im adding to my fav's...............!1X1!.......

Wow, I completely missed this excellent review when replying to the other ones you posted. I find your views about exploring this further interesting, but to be honest, I hadn't really thought in those terms for this one, until you made a very convincing case to do so.

I've taken a while to finish certain songs as well [there are tons that are lying in my harddrive waiting to be finished], but this was one of those that came about very quickly. I really appreciate the listen and your advice. I'm obviously not gonna force myself to work on this further, which I'm sure you understand, but I will keep an open mind about it [which is something I usually don't do - Usually with me, once a track is done, it's done].

Thanks again man.
