on Vibes Take Form by ConsciousEntitySound
Brooding and a little menacing. Love the dynamics and the live sound. Bass lines are awesome. Drums too for that matter...

Beautiful melodic ambient piece. I felt good after listening to this a couple of times.

on Go To Neptune-In Progress by Scruffshroom
Sounding pretty damn fine too me. Mix sounds really good, the guitars especially. You got vox for it? That would be cool.
Scruffshroom
Scruffshroom replied 31st Mar 2023 - 3 years ago
Thank you very much! I don't usually do anything with vocals, mainly because I don't have a vocalist lol. I'll see what I can do though. Thanks again :)

You two make an excellent team. Love the extended intro and when it resolved into the main groove at 40 second's or so. Very enjoyable listen.

on I Miss You by marekathome
Beautiful track, would work even just as an instrumental. Mix or master sounds a bit quiet maybe, but I don't know much about these things. There's a really nice depth to this and the guitars are awesome.

on Get up on the beat - featuring Grafezzy by pseudoble
I think you should preface all your compositions with "not exactly..." That's why I love them so much. Unique and interesting, as always. Your rythms are always so cool.

Cool work, more lofi to me than rap but whatever. Nice melodies and mix of sounds. Enjoyed this!
YellowHouseBeats
YellowHouseBeats replied 21st Mar 2023 - 3 years ago
Thank you Zootman! You're right about the lofi. When I was first making this, I used a rap acapella and it just kinda got stuck in my brain. Glad you enjoyed :)

on Organize Confusing by RekeonoOTB
Pretty cool, nice guitar sound and delay. Would be fun to jam to. I haven't listened to your remix of my track cause I don't trust the download site, it wants too much information... Can you put it somewhere else for me to grab it?

on BrXm - OKCAGA by BrXm
Interesting... Not really what I was expecting with the rock tag but I liked it. Chord progression change at the 1:50 mark was nice, could have had more of that. Interesting glitchy beat too. I like how it kinda plods along like there's nowhere to go, but there's enough to keep the ears perked up.
BrXm
BrXm replied 28th Apr 2023 - 2 years ago
well this track is pretty much alternative rock so of course you couldnt get what you expected but thanks alot I really apreciate the feedback, you should check Okaga, Ca by tyler the creator it is the sample I used

Greetings from the best side of the ditch Ian. Beautiful ambience on this one. Och aye, Chris.
pseudoble
pseudoble replied 16th Mar 2023 - 3 years ago
Hey Chris - thanks for your comments on the other ambient one too and again on this one. Those drums took forever on this one and it was interesting to get the transformation via reverbs of the guitar (recorded some jazz chords via mic out of the old ampeg amp) into a pad like sound. Im pleased a few folk seem to like this one as I wasnt sure it was going to make sense - Och aye (indeed) : )

on Step By Step 3 - Secretly Love You by BaoBou
Not sure how I missed this one but yeah it's a great song and excellent performance all round. How many vox tracks you layering? More than one anyway but it sounds really tight. You're a very good song writer you know....
BaoBou
BaoBou replied 13th Mar 2023 - 3 years ago
Thanks a lot Chris! :) I'm having so much fun writing and sometimes I go back and think "did I do that"? :D
Regarding the vox layering, what I usually do is one lead and 2 background at roughly -10dB, spread over say 10L/10R. I did that in the beginning to give my vocal some "body" but u less the vocals line up it can also add chaos I don't need. So right now I'm trying to learn how to do that properly - that includes some quantizing, and I also add a gate to get rid of some of it.
Anyway, let me know if you have any tips on that.
Thanks so much for listening and commenting!!

You've got some very good work here, the coda on this one is pure dreamy, it put me in a good state of mind for the day! I can see how this is an interesting genre to experiment with, you've inspired me to listen and try some more. Cheers.

on Do you feel me by smallpaul
Garage....uk garage....I have no idea what that is supposed to sound like. But I definitely enjoyed this track so I guess I need to educate myself. It kind of brings to mind everything but the girl in their more electronic guise. Maybe.
smallpaul
smallpaul replied 16th Mar 2023 - 3 years ago
Hi mate sorry for the late reply, yes it's a genre eric minefield! Ha ha. Everything but the Girl yes I've got a few tracks on my ipod very good electronic band. Ben Watt is an excellent musician and Tracys vocals are beautiful. Protection by Massive Attack is a one of my all time favourites. Thanks for the kind review will be sure to return the favour. Regards Paul.

on With You by Micky
Reading through all the comments I can't believe you're unsure about your own creations. I always find them bang on the money in every respect. And you have your own voice and sound. Unique and top quality compositions and performance. Couldn't understand the b52s references though, loved their first album...
Micky
Micky replied 7th Mar 2023 - 3 years ago
Hey Chris, thank you for your nice comment. Well, this track is already 3 years old and meanwhile I've become a bit more self-confident when it comes to my music. That's also the reason why I dug up this track again. I think the comparison to the B52's just comes from the screams and heckling from the girls I used there. I can't explain it any other way. But I've often noticed that people sometimes make the strangest comparisons. Music is to a large extent a very emotional and subtle matter. Sometimes it gets extremely weird: I've been told that my music sounds like BONEY M... Daddy Cool, Ma Baker and stuff like that... I really didn't agree with that though and... yes... I was also a little offended! But even that was probably meant nicely.
AND it's still the case that comments like this nice one from you give me a huge boost. Thanks again. Cheers

on CONCERTO IN THE KEY OF E by T576
Wow, so good to hear something this unique and brilliant on LM. I love the melodies (wonderful) all woven through, the drama, the evolution. Playful in places even. Great composition and production. It could have been twice as long but I'd say your eyes and ears would have fallen out and off!!

Thank you Zoot, for the appreciated observation of this track, and yes by the time I was done with it, Like I had replied to pseudoble, my brain was completely drained. This was probably one of most mentally challenging genre's I decided to journey in to. Just to add, I took 6 months of my life to listen to nothing but classical compositions, By then I had learned to sight read. What I discovered was, this form of music consist of calculated movements emotions and instrumentation that perfectly fit together from intro to ending. Try this journey. You will love it in the end. PEACE. T576 OUT.

Nice and melodic mate, far out, this is the first looperman track I've listened to since my expedition to the subantarctic and its nice to be back I must say. I got to listen to your verses on my shelter from the storm track - very cool lyrics, I think you nailed the vibe on that one. So thanks for that my friend.

I'm a sucker for an accoustic and a voice and this is just a great dark little song. The minimalism and your lyrics give it gravitas and it sounds genuine and from the heart. Well done bro.
