Happy times! Lovely man. I've been enjoying your guitar work lately. That Jorado track your sent me is awesome. I haven't come up with anything to add in terms of vox but I love it. This one too of course. A little different from you but it still has that dense layered rhythmic quality your often bring.

Hey Chris - yeah got to do something with that other track - this was the result of experimenting with guitar synth vst's before I applied even less finesse with the real thing : )

Man this is cool. Great colab. It's got a fantastic urgency to it. Like the saturation they put on your vox. And our German friends sound fantastic, they just jump out of the speakers.

Pretty wild man, love your vox as always. I'd call this more fusion than weird, there's even a dub influence in there to me, and electronica of course. Which reminds me, here's a dub thing I did a while back. Maybe it might take your fancy to do something with. Could easily tweak it. I'll let you know if I come up with anything else I think might work.

Fantastic intro. The percussion is awesome in this. I love the layers and density of it towards the end. Second positive vibration track I've listened to this morning, the first being cyberflares one. It's good to hear happy music!

Nice track. Interesting and a bit different. That subtle, quiet woman's voice is a nice wee touch. Wasn't quite sure about some of the deep brass synth but I guess it adds to the contrast with the following lighter sections. Anyway, enjoyed!

Shit hot bro, I was digging this vibe and it's not even my usual kind of taste. Opening part reminded me of early Fat Boy Slim. Sounds awesome. Great track.

Great track. I spent some time in Greece, loved it, and this is evocative of that time. Zorba would like it I think....

Hello Zootman
it is good to know you spent time in my country and you loved it. If this music brings you back memories, then this is good too. It is a legendary Greek composer, Mikis Theodorakis who scored the music for Zorbas the Greek, globally known for his musical works. We all carry sounds and music from such geniuses, as it happens in other fields too, like sciences or literature.
Thanks so much for your time listening and commenting
Best wishes, Anthony

I'm digging hearing a bit more rock here lately, and this is another cool track. Pretty catchy, mix sounds pretty good to my amateur ears. I think you could maybe insert a few drum breaks and fills here and there, mostly on the pauses between verses and or chorus. That would accent things nicely. Great song!!

BadNode replied 13th Sep 2024 - 1 year ago
Thank you Zoot, I appreciate this feedback/encouragement, thanks for giving it a listen as well. Definitely will see if can add a drum fill, there is one spot I know desperately needs it.

Some amazing tracks you have here. The start of this one reminds me a little of Neil Young's soundtrack to the Jim Jarmusch movie Deadman. Strange, fey, psychedelic and slightly disturbing. Cheers Zoot

You are spot on Zootman. My influence growing up in the 70's was experiencing a huge societal shift away from from the contempory music of the time. Reggae, Ska, Punk, Disco, and early synth music which got my attention. Thank you for that.

Excited to hear some colabs from you Aaron! I hope you do something with Pseudoble, I love his music, I think you guys could do something a little different together. Anyway, this ones deep and dark and sounds like a soundtrack for the end of the world. I think your stuff often has a cinematic, epic quality to it. Lots of gravitas!! och aye, Chris

Yeah, for sure. He sent me some stuff to go thru, it's next on the list. I hope to use it in some unexpected ways, later on in the week, be in the lookout for it. I try to make each piece like it was my last, and to try new things. It all adds up, over time. I'm having fun, and hopefully that translates to what is heard. Thanks for your support l, bro. - Aaron

Thanks a lot Zoot, your stuff on your page is so inspiring, I feel this type of music is right in your wheel house so you giving it a listen and feedback means a lot! You're absolutely right about suffering being good for art. Sometimes creativity can sprout from a single seed of misery.

Your vocals always sound amazing to me, in terms of performance and production. It's a great track, lots going on but all on point and adding to the cruisy vibe. Fsntastico.

Micky replied 22nd Aug 2024 - 1 year ago
Hello Chris, I'm very pleased that you like the track and the vocals. Yes, it's true, I have a tendency to pack a lot into it, and thank God it works in most cases. In fact, I'm working on doing less, leaving things more open, and I keep finding that it's much easier to pack the tracks full than to be frugal. That's probably due to the way I've worked so far, building the tracks. I would need to take a completely different approach. Producing a pop song isn't magic if you know the rules. I want to get to the point where I produce away from the rules, outside the norm, and that's certainly a long way off. You're way ahead of me there, Chris, although I'm sure you'll dispute that...
Thank you very much for your praise.
Cheers,
Micky

Great stuff Paul, genuine and emotive. I get the feeling that once you've made friends with someone you'd be loyal to them andin it for the long haul, thick or thin. Cheers Zoot.

thanks Chris, yeah thats right, i choose friends wisely and that's simply because its your choice, loyalty is an important word among friends, loyalty isn't just given out it's earnt, Manuela earned my loyalty and hopefully i've earnt hers on trust and respect, just like you and all the other guys and how we linked because we wanted to do things right and isn't that what everyone wants, longevity in your friendships, then it proves the friendships are real and mean something, you can't choose your family you get what your given, thats why your choice of friends needs to be made wisely

on LIFETIME by glennwhite6504
I've listened to both of these tracks, a couple of times each. Admittedly, that was while I'm working so they didn't get my undivided attention. But for all that, they are both beautifully played and produced. I am highly envious of your feel and technical proficiency! And it is so good to hear more acoustic, human music here amidst so much over-produced stuff. By the way, my acoustic is an Ibanez too. Don't' remember the model but it is a large bodied, solid top thing. Bought with a tiny bit of money I inherited from my German grandmother 30 or so years ago (when I was in my 20's). I call it Berna after her. It has a nice sound but the action is too high now. I need to try and get it fixed up. Still has a nice tone though. Anyway, keep em coming. Like Dimestop I sometimes attempt to sing so be careful. All the best, Zoot.

Hello Zootman....of course I appreciate your post very much, I'm just a lover of music and feel pretty much through everything I play. I'm not a true player....I pretty much have taught myself enough to express what I feel through guitar practices and techniques but mainly it's the feeling. Thanks again for your kinds words. I do favor Ibanez acoustics as well as electrics....have several hollowbodies with the thinline body. I do believe the acoustic guitar has ability to express without being as loud as its electric counterpart.Theres definitely a place for both....just depends on the individual i guess. I do like them both and will continue to experiment. Once again appreciate you and until next time.
