on Staying alive by JohnnyHunter
you got some skills, The beat is groovy. I think I agree with you about the compression, but its not bad. I like how smooth and mello the melody is, The string stabs are nice.... I wish it could have a proper ending, But other than that it is a great tune!

Cheers!

on ZyKoh ft Minette and Ray KoeFoed by StephenPotter
This sounds very very good, I like what you did with the looper pellas, Just outta curiosity how do you r get that chaotic glitch effect with the samples? Are you cuttin em all up and just sequencing snips or do you use a piece or hard ware or sofware?
The Stuff you do with the drum samples at around 2:00. I would like to know how you achieved the drum bends. Anyway, Superb track!

Dude you got this whole dubstep thing down! I am really diggin your work. Sweet Synths , great bass structures. I have never been a FL guy, but I dint know you could pull these kind of sounds outta the suite. Great work!

hell yeah man! Seriously appreciate you checking out my music...

I'm about 15 minutes away from putting up the finished version of Seriously Safe Travels... well, close to finished anyway, it blows away all tracks i've created before it, I'm always stoked when I finish a new track, but this time I'm like freakin ecstatic about it

and yea I'm loving FL, It takes a little while to get used to, but once you do you realize just how flexible it really is, I've tried to learn other daw's but they all seem too overly complicated compared to fl.

anyway, thanks again man! feed back like this keeps me goin to the wee hours of the morning :)

This is sick! Awesome bass work! When the dirty synth hits hard its right on time!. I like the bass wobble timing Very VEry good dubstep track, Friend! I think a song like this pretty much requires a neural build up at some point, but othere than that this track is there.

Cheers!

You'd Think after 20 or so listens, someone would leave you some words! This track is very well done, I have never been able to achieve that neural mid-range bass wobble without getting too busy. Very atmospheric and when the bass drops, It contrasts nicely. Very smooth pads. Awesome bass sounds, will be checkin it out with samples.

Sweet track, ambient dubstep for your earholes! Cheers!

Thanks mate, I'm having trouble getting people to listen to my stuff, i think because my first track was pretty garbage lol. my last two have been alot more interesting tho.
For the bass I just tryed to EQ and filter out all the low range frequencies, but yeah it can hard to separate the mid bass from the sub. I'm still working on trying to mix and master this one.

Thanks for your kinds words, i will be sure to check out some of your stuff :), cheers!

Appreciate that clinthammer, glad you liked it! I always do the long ending for some reason if I havent finished a track...Kind of a placeholder for other parts of the song..im just stuck and dont know what else to do on this. Appreciate the review :)

on JCG beat 1 by JeremyGood
I am really diggin where you are going with this jam! very groovy! awesome synth work, great sequnecing! Nice pace. However I would have to agree with jkaos1000:
" it seems overpowered .....watch for clipping homie"

I would try to take the low end out of the kick up to around 25-50Hz. This should reduce your clipping problem. Try to experiment with the lower end of your EQ settings, I usually try to keep no frequencies below 40Hz. Your bass will still be as powerful as ever and it will eliminate a lot of mud. Also try heavy compression on your kick samples threshold 3-5 dB , and play with the ratio and ceiling.

I think if you are able to clean up the mix you will have a ton more of reviews because your are very good at making great music, now just play around with the engineering side, and you are golden!

Awesome track, Keep it up!

This is original and very good! Awesome glitch goins on ins theres!

I am diggin' the beat, Nice meld of styles. I would like a little more low end on the bass. Speakin of the bass.. WTF?!! The modelling job you achieved is sweetly chaotic, I like the clean synth phased throught the bass, awesome job dude!

Great work, Post more!

Reply:

Yeah, I know how that goes! I have to do that most of the time as well. I usually have to wait till the next day and try it out in the car er sumtin'. lol

Thanks!
I was mixing with my headset on, so I couldn't really get much of a bass representation, since it's the middle of the night and I don't want to disturb anyone sleeping.

Thanks for taking your time and writing your review! :D

Man, This is Tight!

It Has an old skool B-Boy feel, Mixed with a newer sound! Awesome synth work. I was thinkin' about using this pella, But all in all I thought I wound not be able to make somethin good to go with it! You did a great job findin the sound for Buddahman's rhymes! It seems the hook was a challenge to fit music to the lyrics, I bet it was tough. Nice Job!

Thx Clint for the review. Surprised to see you say it had an old skool B-Boy feel cuz that was my feeling when it all started coming together. Didn't have a problem fitting the hook to the music. This trak was a blast to work on.
