Holy crap, this is really good! I check the 'tracks' section quite often, but have not seen you here. Where have you been? I assume this is you singing. Great voice. Let your purity shine with a bit less reverb, though. Let us hear YOU!
Hey Scott :)
Yeah, I managed to make you like a dubstep thing, that's cool!
Great ! I'm eager to get your link, guys .
Thx a lot for your encouraging words .
I love your stuff....BUT! Don't be self-conscious about your vocals and cover them up! Put it up front...I want to hear YOU! This track is a real beauty, but it will only be at it's best with your vocals standing out. I really want this song in my collection, but only if I can hear your excellent vocals! Sorry for the tough love, but I honestly don't think you know how good your are.
Aww! Thanks for your words.
Well, I've tried to fix my voice (for second time. True, in the first try my voice was too off).
Listen again if you want (I hope I have done the enough well ._.)
Thanks again for listening and comment! :D
Richie, I love it when I come across a track that I can listen to without having to turn it down because the bass is so damn overpower you can hardly hear anything else. This is the sign of a true musician, not some wanna-be with a computer and a DAW with a bunch of loops! This track is pure and you can hear ALL the instruments and the beautiful vocals coming through so clearly. Everything is just Effing Great!
It's so good to hear comments about the actual sound of my work. I try to do everything with a "light touch" and try to get a sound that works well and is balanced. I'm not a fan of over compressing stuff of boosting the bottom end. Glad you heard everything as this really pleases me.
Good happy sounding track. Nice work. My first DAW was Cakewalk's Music Creator. After a few month I got X1 Studio and just a couple months ago got the X2 Producer. I pretty much know it like the back of my hand, so don't think I'll be changing anytime soon.
Another real beauty, Carole. Even though I don't understand it, I love the French lyrics. You did a wonderful job with the loops. They all seem to be meant for the song.
Cool, really reminiscent of 80's discovery of the 'easier to use' synthesizers when you didn't have to be an electronic tech to play one. Reminds me of my playing days back then. Jan Hammer would be proud.
First rule of production of your music...Don't apologize! Let your audience give you your critique. There is not a thing wrong with your track. We don't know about your mic or your knowledge of music, so don't tell us! Some of us will love your stuff, others will not. That's the name of the game. You have our respect just for posting your music...Keep it up!
Cool track, Darkreine. I love the funk, so had to check it out. The only thing I hear that might have been off a bit is the first and last sax section wasn't sync'd up, but overall, rally nice.
Hi Scott, I see you have great taste in music from what's on your profile! I will try and keep the funk going ha ha! Well I've got a lot to learn about mixing music and have a pretty limited range of loops and stuff I probably need to buy some.
Thanks again, Regards Carrol
Very nice SJ. I noticed you used one of my collaborator's loops (Franco,) so I wanted to chime in and give you an "Atta-Girl" for your creation of a very cool, haunting track.
Not an 'F' up at all, 12string. In fact it is quite excellent. Very reminiscent of the early disco. The mix seems good on my system. Everything comes through clearly. Bravo to you for posting some real music here! You did Patricia proud.
I tried to get it sound like early disco, the type I listened to back in the early 70s. Glad I didn't let you down. Happy it sounds good on your system as it is hard to get it right for all players when you master in a bedroom lol. Yea! Patricia is great and this Pella reminded me of a disco singer I listened to way back. Can't rembmer her name lol..
This one struck a nice tone with me. As a percussionist with the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra for 4 years, I certainly enjoyed your track. It seems you had your theme in mind when creating your project. You have some great characters involved. Another female character for one of your future projects could be "The Lady of the Lake" in the Arthurian legend.
Well, to be honest, I never think on the song when I make it. I combine loops without stopping to see/hear what I'm doing. That flows "alone". At the end, when I think it's enough for a song, I try to find a thematic and a name, and sometimes, a story. (I hope I can explain myself. Sorry, my english is not perfect).
I've never studied music. I never had the chance.
But I'm glad you liked it.
Thanks! :D
(PS: About the "Lady of the Lake", honestly, I've never heard about it. And, I really doubt I'm gonna make another song like this. You see, I make music no thinking. Thanks again!)
Great track, for one, and yes, definitely needs drums (guess I would say that being a drummer, wouldn't I!) I'm hearing some soft brush work and/or very mellow percussion. I'll be happy to help you out. If you have something in mind, LMK or I can use my own judgment. I'll get back to you with my email.
Very interesting, SJ. You got me on the genre, too! Maybe avant garde? Like Darkreine said, "Who gives a ****." We just finished one with the same pella of Bonnie's. It's worlds apart from your fine track, though. Two totally different interpretations.
Isn't it peculiar how different the same pella actually can sound in every new song? I get surprised every time.
Anyhow - looking forward to hear your interpretation.
Thanks for listening! Avant garde? Let's call it that. =D

Although it not really my style, I do dig your vocals. Again, a very sensual track.
I think my Italian buddy, Franco is planning on using one of your pellas for a project of ours. Will turn you on to the link if he does.
