This is a good track and you already know the levels are too low, so I wont expound any further. Here's a little trick I use when I'm about to finalize a track. I check my levels in my DAW, of course, than I upload it to my WavePad sound editor (you can get a free version) and I look at the wave form. This tells you allot about your track. Too thin, it's too low...Too high with no peaks like a ruler, it's too high.
I think you have a winner here, Mykael, from what I can hear. No need to go into the levels problem. It's pretty much been mentioned. I look forward to finish product.
Cool track with some great vocals. If that's you, great job. I don't think I got the full effect, though, since I had to turn it way down when the bass kicked in. The walls were shaking!
Hahaha that is awesome to hear ;) I would enjoy it when the walls are shaking , had no idea the bass would hit so hard.
Thanks scott for the kind comment
You got a winner here, Larry. It's my style with all the horns. I will download it and put it on my BAMM (big ass music machine!) to enjoy forever. Good Job.
A truly wonderful track, Bear! From start to finish, everything is very cohesive and very much enjoyable. Great vocals. Mix and sound quality, very nice.
You're off to a good start, Inkle. I don't see a problem with the tempo changes which can be subjective as expressed with the other comments. If you like it, do it. I would increase the volume level, though and if you used compression, back off on it some. It sounds a bit muffled on my end. All in all...Good Job!
Wow, I just replied to two of your comments and clicked on 'tracks' and up pops this little jewel! An absolute beauty, all around, and what's wrong with that guitar solo! I thinks it's great...Leave it in. Drums are good, too. Patricia, well, what can you say that hasn't already been said.
Thanks Scott.. All my tracks are jewels..lol
The thing with the git is the sound and the feel of it. I used my Telecaster and should've picked my Stratocaster or maybe my Steinberger with humbuckers to get a thicker sound.
Great track. I wasn't sure how you were going to pull ska out of it until it got going. I love all the instrumentation. All is nice and clear with a perfect mix. I can't say I download allot of Looperman tracks, but I knew right off I had to have this one. Thanks for adding to my collection.
Very nice, Maff! Love it, as is, but if you want a critique, maybe boost the overall volume and possible a bit less reverb on the vocals, but that's just me.
Thanks Scott - yeah the reverb is a bit all over the place at the moment, and there's a poor dead spot around 3.49 to 3.59 where nothing happens, which needs more orchestration. That cello F sharp at 1.58 I think is musically right, but bloody robot cellist can't play it legato, so that needs sorting.
I'll pick up the levels too and sort out the mix, but just wanted a nod I was heading in the right direction here...
I liked the simplicity of the original, and didn't want to ruin it (!), but def wanted it to 'open out' without getting too Bryan Adamsy....
Very nice, Bob. Would make a great soundtrack for something. Your mix is good, maybe up the volume a bit to get full effect of the dynamic range out of the sound system.
Ok, so wrote a comment under my other Looperman page, ScottFranco, but listened to it again while signed in under this page, so I had to tell you again....This is great!
Hey Man thanks for stopping by and taking a listen. Was trying to use the proper instruments to get that painful reflection and hope. Glad you enjoyed and I will make the next one a more positive note!! and Funky!! Take care! Appreciated and Thanks again Fila!
