You are doing fine, SolielxLune. You can start with the easier DAWs and move on. You can still put yourself into your track, because it's what you like. I've never used that particular DAW, but the mix and sound quality is very nice.
Thanks for your words. But I think that express myself in music will be hard. I've tried to learn since 5 years, but I have progressed nothing. It's hard when you don't have anyone to teach you. Internet is not very useful in this stuff. Anyway, I guess I have to keep trying.
Just a flat out WONDERFUL track Janis. You have a fine music partner. I would have liked to hear your great voice stand out a tad more, but that's just me.
Hi Scott :)
You're right about Paul, even if we don't work together any longer . I'm still a fan of his and of his great talent .
I'm grateful to you for your nice comment .
Peace
Usually I'll click on tracks in this genre for S&G and click off after a few seconds, but this track was so hypnotic I couldn't help but play the whole thing! I'm not even sure why, but it was just so catchy. I guess what I'm saying is...I like it...Period!
Really cool track, 12string. I like the song, itself, but I think you may be overdriving a bit on volume and possible compression. Musically, you are on the right track. I'd like to her the vocals a bit clearer. Just MHO, though.
This is a very nice track, SeaDog. It has a really cool vibe to it. On my system, though, the instruments are a bit overpowering the vocals, but maybe that's the sound you were going for. Also, the highs and lows are good, but the mids seem lacking a bit. Again, if this is the sound you are going for, please disregard.
Very cool song, Brillbilly. Usually I'll click on these songs and listen for about 10 seconds before stopping them, but yours captured me from start to finish. Good job!
I really get disappointed when I check out tracks on Looperman, these days, but when I saw your's and Patricia's, I knew I would hear something of quality, and I was right. Great guitar and vocals (of course.) Keep up the good work.
Hi Scott and thank for your comment.. I totally agree with you there, I have heard many tracks that use Patricia's acapella is in the wrong key and tempo from what she sings. It seems like they just make some music, and throwing in an acapella to fill the gaps ..
I am glad that you liked my version of this acapella..
This is a really cool tune. Do you have any plans to put your vocals up for use as a 'pella? I would love to team up with my Italian collaborator and remix it. Don't get me wrong...I love the way it is. I just have some ideas.
Great track, Bonnie. I love your voice and style. My Italian friend, Franco, and I are working on a track with one of your pellas, as we speak. We'll let you know when finished.
As usual, another real beauty from a great singer! You always aim to please. When our government and most of the left trying to eliminate religion from our country, it's good to have a talent like yours to keep it in. Bravo to you.
Wow, Janis...I just ran across your excellent track and clicked on your pellas and downloaded a bunch of them. Good work, Girl! You are a great vocalist. I'm sure I will be using your loops in many of my future projects. Many thanks for sharing.
Hi Scott !
Happy to see you hear and found sthg interesting in my stuff :)
Please do, I'll be glad to hear what you'd do with it .
Many thanks to you for your warm words,
Thought I'd check out some of your stuff. I really like your style. This one is especially nice. Sort of a New Age style. Your melodies are also nice. You ought to think about posting some original loops.
This is really smooth and well done. I wish we had more jazz artists here. It just doesn't seem to go over well, so I like to comment when I hear something good. If you post hip hop or rap they're are all over it.
Really nice, Ploesch. You accomplished the 'retro soul' feel really well. Over my system, the vocals, drums, and bass came through fine, but I couldn't hear the other instruments enough, but that may be just my system.
Hi Scott,
I didn´t check the mix on a monitor system. Just used the headphones. I´ll do that asap. Maybe I could give the organ and the piano a little bit more presence...
thx Kurt
Really cool song, PV. It's very refreshing to hear some good rock on LM. I can hear some old school players who you seemed to have channeled, Beatles, Zappa, Santana, with some nice psychedelics thrown in.
This is really nice. Your voice has a plesant quality to it, sort of a Billie Holliday essence. I'm a drummer and was thinking some soft brush work would fit nicely.
