Wow,how did I miss such a great song. The riff is all over it and the guitar sound is so thick and crunchy...just the right amount of distortion, you know how to make that serious attack and bring it with this song. The chord and harmony march up and the descent back down to the riff is something you can't just learn how to do,you gotta feel it and make the listener feel it also...and I have.
Hey MCHN,you gotta heavy sound here.I would like to do some metal,I gotta work on that sound...Oh,and those heavy drums are a metal must have.can't complain about the tempo though...only you know the feel you were looking for and slow and heavy works for me,like the other reviewer said...it's just preference and it's also my rut,I allways get in a slow funky pocket with a lot of my rock and have to climb out.
Very good.

Hey Allen, thanks for the review. I had to go back and listen to this again, kinda forgot about it lol. Yea theres time where falling into that slow tempo groove is nice. Hard to believe its been more than a year since I recorded this. I still like to play in those slow tempos. Year's of playing at higher tempos made me enjoy coming back to that slow stuff. Definitely need to work on something metal sounding again. Thanks for the review. Cheers :D
Wow Jim,You know I listen to so much original music here on the site I forget there's actually classic songs I like. You impress me with your vocals and the songs make me smile...you've inspired me to list some favorite albums and songs in the bio section...soon

Thanx allen,I appreciate it,I have to start checking out more of everyone's stuff. There is a lot of talented people on here, they really help broaden our musical horizons!
Really good song Gordon,I love it and the positive message and feel of this, even inspired me to do something acoustic tonight...I got headphones on my ears and guitar in hand!
Great music here Guitarjock,I'm glad I found you...saw your name a few times and had to.I hear ya about setin'up guitars...still scares me,I've had new bridge saddles in a drawer for 5yrs.when I was younger I would tear em apart but they were never the same.Gonna listen to more of your stuff,I do hear the DT influence,I have a live dvd and they blow me away, took me until a couple yrs ago to even hear them. You do Play very well my friend!
Very nice Brian,a sweetness about it i hear in the notes and tone of the song,I think you wanted that and the guitar keeps with that feel, you and I both know that rock guitar can definitly be sweet you just gotta feel the right notes, and you did.
Allen
Hey there Allen, thanks for stopping in and given a listen, something i wipped up fast in the music lab, there was a few things i was aming to get at with this, didnt quite get what i was after in the guitar lines, but next time I guess! thanks so much for your posititve reforcement
DjMurdaU is correct,This is a very, very good song. This crosses the genre lines and I think everyone on this site should here this.Thank's for sharing this with us...privileged.
Hey man, really good vocal on this."I know what it means to be alone"Great stuff. That live band sound even stays true to that classic Zep sound. Now how about some Black Dog.
Well done
What a great song!Do you write the words and music cause'it really is good and your bass, guitar and vocals are right on.I see your dad likes it and he should! Are you playing bass,it's nice and full,Love it!
thx dude,
yeah i've wrote music and lyrics. came up with an idea after looking at a movie, found the guitar and started improvising. had a jam with my dad and he wanted to record it.
but im nothing compared to you. your song "Woman and Child" is killing it!
Yes mr bad this was featured and yes I had to stop and consume again.I'm gonna change my avatar cause i'm tired of seein' my face at the bottom of this page.

I forgot about this one. Not a bad tune. Didn't know anybody was listening. I made it so you can download it. Put it on your Ipod, burn a CD and drive through the streets of Plant City with it cranked and your windows down! Thanks agian.
Ludwik hello!I'm sure you will get plenty of reviews from the artists here that share this genre.I did like the beat though and it had groovy guitar so for that alone a thumbs up!
I left the page and lost my review,Oh yea, this is good, real good!
I said a lot of other nice stuff also that meant good, real good.
So you think you can strip this down a little, maybe play a little more bass:)
Seriously,awesome!
Man I love this stuff Slapjohnson, the harmony horns are fan freakin' tastic, great solo also.Wah on bass and guitar nice. You have a lot of good funky air between things where it's meant to be.Love it!
Hey Randy,Your stuff is consistently great!Nice drums and guitar sound, that"clean distortion"is good, the kind you don't have to cover up with more and you can actually hear the chords, very good.I have to keep visiting you and movin'through your songs.
Still exploring eh? Cool. I am at work now. Glad you liked the 'Guitar Hero's' tune. It was a fun one to make. To get the best sound and distinguishable notes, you have to pretty much make duplicate tracks of your instruments.
One track would be sent hard left and the other hard right. Mixing the 2 is called layering...to get a nice full sound. On one track you can keep it dry...meaning no reverb or effects...just basic.
On the other track, you put in the effects you want. Then play the tracks back and 'blend' the 2 together so you get the sound you want. So this way you can have distortion, but the clear track will cut thru and thus the 2 together will sound great...high distortion, yet you can still hear all the notes clearly.
You could also make a 3rd or more tracks of the same instrument, or say an acoustic guitar for a nice sound if appropriate, to add in another sound as well.
Ok....I will check out your page again and see what else you have there. I have been working 4 weeks now without a day off....so the music production is slow for me right now.
If i could play metal I would ask to jump in here with you but I don't have that edge, and I like it but you know it's gotta be real and i've been in Eddie Van Halen's pocket too long:)Great song Spyder.
Well, you don't have to jump in on this one, but if you're really interested I DO have several unfinished songs more in the rock/pop/hiphop vein which could use some awesome guitar licks. Just a thought....
Hey Spyder, you don't play guitar?Someone who rocks like yourself should,This is really cool.I've only been here a month and am amazed at all the great guitar loops here.I play but I swear I'm gonna use one!
I love the wah and guitar tone, you played bass on this?nice sound as well.Very good song altogether, you inspire me to dust off the old Crybaby, well done.
