Thank you,Allen!
Soon I will send you track, just yet thinking that changing something on this track it or leave it as it is,but definitely I will send you!
Very good, like the beat and changes.I'll tell you BM, that guitar or should I say the sound/tone of it is becoming a nice signature sound for you when it's added and we both know it's not just the instrument,it's that live touch. It may seem like a small thing but that bar chord you hit,i think it's D,when the drums drop out mid way was very cool, you play it with guitar just once I believe.
Great!
Allen
Hi Allen, thanks for droping in and sendin along a review!Iam sure you will agree, you got to have something in your hands that has musical feel and tone with residenace to make ya connect to what your playing.I truly beleive just as tone matters so much, so does the overtunning the guitar is at! when those to elements are in line and harmonize nicly, its all up to you and how you make it happen! aww yeah the joy of it all!
thanks so so much for your nice comments, greatly apperacte it big time guy!
Now this is real jazz, the bass is fantastic as are the keys and it does sound like it was fun to do.Sorry so long getten by here, being new you realy have a lot to take in and everyone has over 40 tracks, good tracks. This is all I listen to anymore so I'll be back when I can stay longer, gotta feelin'I'll be here awhile!
Allen
This is very good, i'm a big fan of what you do.I love the drums, matter of fact I need some so I'm checking out your page as your drum loops are awesome.
I got with this when it started funkin',I gotta listen to more of your stuff.I just have a sweet tooth for the funk, let me start it again...yea,You got it right.
I love how well this song is crafted.Great hamonies, nice notes before the drums and bass come in.A cheerfully sad song,Dm then Fm on end of chorus I think? creates a nice early Beatlesque feel,Love it.
Thanks Robert,
I listened to the Beatles a billion times so at one point, the music you listen to and love just comes out in your tracks.
Really happy you like this one
Cheers
StÃÂphane
Now I can get into this, powerful drums and it's epic rock. This is one where you can see the drummer in your head with one stick in the air, slammin' it down with attitude. You should do more of this style,Great job!
Thanks, I love rock/metal everything with guitar!
would like to make this kind of music, but
the problem is that I do not know to play guitar and I dont have good guitar VST!
Nice work, you put this together well.I play guitar and have thought about useing some of the guitar loops I hear because they sound so good!
Good song,I'll get over to your page.
Allen
Is that the Chinese Strat,It sounds great. My Tele is from Mexico and I love it,some people are suprised when I tell them Yes,every part was played with this standard guitar and a small pedal. You have the ear and talent for this and it pays off for you.I like the guitar pan,I heard EVH talkin'about it before and I try to use it myself,it's odd but to me it seems to give a mono guitar part a more seperated and ultimately"stereo"sound, for me anyway.very good Bm.
Oh yea,Great licks also!
HI Allen, thanks for the review here! Yeah thats the Squire Strat with a rosewood fret board on these tracks. I have spent alot of time and money trying different strats out and after years of trial and error on this, the ones I feel really excell in what iam doing are the China, japan and koren strats. The ones made in the mid early 80s are truly musicallity increadable. I also found the rosewood board gets a meaner sound verse the maple boards. One thing, the pick ups do hum a bit in mid and bridge postions, but when iam playing live, its not noticeable at all. In recording you may have to work around it. Iam sure ungrading to noiseless pickups would make a big differance. Also, I have found that every strat needs to be tweeked in someway.I only pay 50 bucks for the one iam using and they can be found all over central florida in the pawn shops. The japan guitars are unreal for tone and feel. There more money, around 300 to 600 dollars, but really worth buying. Also check the old Valvestate marshall amps! I have used over a dozen differnet types and in my opion, you wont beat the old VS models with greenback speakers.I have used a few of them and allways suprize me,even with high ceilings were you need to cover space with the output! also I sometimes double the track after its tweeked to get the stero feild, one thing, it might not be nessary to do some and might make the track more noiser, so you have to use your judgement when doing so! I love working with vocals tracks in the matter and plan on doing son unique stuff shorthly with vocals,Sort of beatles meet arrowsmith in dark alley lol! anyways thanks for the reviews, they are a big assest in making new music, I really like to hear how I can produce better sounding tracks and write better with more meaning!
I liked it Bm,you constructed this tale very well.Yes,I believe the choices you make today will effect days, months and years of the future for you and others even if you don't see it.I liked the guitar and piano mix, great lead and nice ending to bring us home, you did made a good choice here.
HI Allen, thanks so much for taking the time out to review! this track was on the tuff side to mix!
its all ears, trial and error and sometimes thats not enough!! your ears can become fatuige fast if you play back at high dbs, so a nice low volume in the room is diffently the ticket to long mixing hours!! I love it, i grew up in stuidos in New York and it made a very lasting impression on me! I cant wait to do the next track! Thats how this all make ya feel! Keep a big open mind, latch on to some of the great sounds that are availble on looperman and let your self go, You,ll never want to come back!
Very good!Keep going with your feelings. Those things that just flow without a lot of thought are almost always the best and the most intimate,I can hear it and am privileged.Bm is right,a very creative summer indeed!
I had to take my boots off and leave the horse at home for this one Randy, great sound quality and mix here,Big.Loved the guitars and the way the keys swirled around.I was gonna start a new song tonight but i'm to busy listening, how many songs you got?
Allen.
Well, the 'Chicken Pickin' style is what I really enjoy, and it takes a lot of practice to get it down right. Basically starting very slowly and playing with at least 3 fingers to get the rolls in.
Not quite so hard for me as I played 5-string banjo as well. I love Rock and some Blues a lot too.
I have 26 songs posted up so there is quite a bit of variety in my work. I need to work more keys into my songs as I have 2 Korg units here beside me.
Glad you enjoyed this tune.
You can also go here and listen to them and also see my equipment I use.....

Later friend,

Alright Randy, now you know I gotta put my boots and hat on and saddle up the Tele after this tasty slice of down home pickin'I did listen to this before but had to come back.First thing first you can play southern fried, second, you can play southern fried very well!Is there a difference between being inspired and just plain stealin'someones idea, they would string up(no pun intended)a guitar slinger for that wouldnt they?.Well I can't play pedal steel or slide,no fiddle and my son will probably refuse to create any country drums for me but other than that I aughta be good to go!
Great job,
Allen.
Hi Allen.
Looks like your getting into my music.....glad of that. I strive for quality...not quantity. I get my drum loop at www.betamonkeymusic.com or else I play them from the keyboard as I don't own any drums now.
I started to own a 9 piece white Ludwig drum set back in the 70's. But the person I got them from wanted them back.. as they missed playing them.
I am working on a 'Crunch' Rock tune now and then will get back to some more country pickin stuff.
Glad you liked this tune and I hope my music inspires you to play more. I am here all by myself!
Bye for now.........
Randy
Very Good!I love the different variations of Funk you got goin' on,I'm new here and almost gave up on playing until I found this community, everyone has been so welcoming and every day I find more wonderful artists like yourself.I'll be listening to more of your music. You know I played a Les Paul then switched to a Tele about 17yrs ago and never looked back, you really can make it sound any way you want.I wanted to introduce myself and complement your song and style.
Nice that you could get around to enjoy this site more. Yes, there is lots of good talent on here and some think I am one.. ;-) But I am an old guy...just turned 66 Sunday.
Anyways, I am glad you enjoyed my funky tune. It isn't particulary the type I like, but I have a lot of settings on my Korg M-3 that has these types of sounds....so I wanted to try a song in this genre.
If you read my profile, then you know a lot about me already. The Beatles I met in person in France, influenced me to learn guitar. From there I never looked back. Had my own band and did sound for others.
Now my power plant job won't let me play in a band because of the varied work hours....so I make music all myself using a combo of my instruments and loops using Pro Tools.
Presently, I own 4 Fender Telecasters. 2 of them are limited edition Buck Owens guitars...more for an investment.
If you want to hear some "Chicken pickin" tele sounds, then check out this tune I put together a short time ago. It is called 'Randy's Chicken Pickin'. I love that style and will do another.
Okay, take care and if you have any questions, let me know.
Hot music here.Very interesting chord changes, great drums keep this tune movin'right along and the ever so tasty guitar work.Very nice, glad I found you.
I'm a new fan.
This really is a feel good song,it's nice when the title fits.Your voice is great!I've been on this site about a month and am trying to revisit some of the wonderful talent that's here.
Thanks for the shot of feel good!
Brian,a lot has been said in other reviews and I agree. This is an important song on many levels,of course to you, and to us as listeners, even if we did not know of your loss.I'm mixed about vocals myself, may sound odd but the music seems so intimate, even with the guitars that it would take something special to speak any more clearly than your music, maybe because I know it's heartfelt and you can hear it,That's your call. Some guitar swells maybe,I hit the note then swell the volume with my pinky,it has been a way of expression and emotion from the guitar for me,
Well done.
Allen
Yeah , Iam with ya there on that, I totaly feel the same with vocals! Its the Pop glmor thing that is a turn off for me in the singing area, I allways liked it in the sence of drama and acting and not just vocal technique. I was one for sole full blusy stuff , but anything entaining has caught my ears in the past that was "out of the box"competely.Should be fun to see what can be mustered up in the music labortory in the near future! thanks for review allen and enjoy all your creative endvors!
I'm sorry it took me so long to get here brian,I didn't know what i was missin'You are very talented my friend.Harp is cool and I can't leave a review without complementing your drums.
Aerosmith lyric from"Last Child"
"Take me back to a south Tallahassee
Down cross the bridge to my sweet sassafrassy
Can't stand up on my feet in the city
Got to get back to the real nitty gritty"
That's what I'm hearin'man, you got a great song here with lot's of attitude.
"I was a last child
Just a punk in the street"
You hit it on the nose Allen, yeah thats what came about here! I grew up with those sounds! They allways got me going! But you know what I waa getting at on this track! The reason for the title! Bad ass girl with the bad ass atitude and mouth! lol!
Great song Brian, you know Wayne is right, maybe a few more guitar fills, only cause you know I love guitar and I cant help but hear lead in everything.I need some drums that sound like yours,Nice clean funky rock sound.I think I'll download, put my headphones on and jam to this one.Yea,I like it that much, seriously!
This kicks ars!
This is really good!I love when the drums come in and out of the track, creates anticipation, like that drum roll it adds a lot,I can't do rolls yet.The whole song is right on.Great guitar nice rhythm it's lite and complimentary building up to the lead then the song gently takes us back home, this is how I like to hear a song constructed .Can't say anymore without writing a book.I think it's one of the best I've heard here for these reasons.
Hey,I need to do a song with that guitar tone.
Well done.
Allen
HI Allen, thanks for the positive review, Really helps me when I get get a reading in what iam doing and how its being interpertated. Helps alot in the next creative venture no dought! I am using a made in China Fender Squire guitar with a rosewood fret board thru a Marshall vs-100 valuestate amp! There easy to use and getting a good assortment of tones comes easy and quick! And there inexpensive also!Have lots of fun and thanks so so much for droping in and reviewing!
