Sweet Yesh. I can always count on you to bring on soul and emotions that way. It's pretty inspiring and I know how I can tell I am moved each time....when I hear stuff like this, the guitar calls out for me to play, just to connect with that same feel and soul you are putting out here. Superb job..I was moved. - Cheers and take care - Bill Smith ( Bilbozo )
Thanks Bil! Imma glad you can feel
tha vibe of this track!
I put me heart and soul into
every track I do and imma glad that
shows up to you!
Please tell Angela happy belated bday
also!
This should be the theme song for Donald Trump ! When the vocals and Moog like bass hit, I knew I was in for a cool trip. Great writing man. I love it's unique impulsive aggrerssive style. Sweet...Sweet Money ! - Cheers - Bill Smith ( Bilbozo )
Very cool track and great collab. Very inspiring tone in the music. Great lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Congrats on a job well done. - Take good care - Bill Smith ( Bilbozo )
Very cool Stephanie. This is a fantastic collab...when several members come into play lots of magic can happen as it has here. Great harmonies and lyrics. Has almost a Latin/Persian tone in the progression of the lyrics. Makes it emotional and soulful yet dark and impulsive. Bang up job for all that were involved. Cheers and take care - Bill Smith ( Bilbozo )
Lenal, very nice vocals...this has all the elements of a classic love ballad and M2G, man you can really sing dude ! That was a pleasant surpise. I thought I heard a pen writing on paper, is that right? Suree makes for interesting realism. - Great job..awe inspiring. - Bilbozo
Hi Bilbozo! Thank you for taking your time to listen to our song and I am also grateful for your kind words.... and yes Minor2Go has a nice voice :)
Lena
Some real cool elements going on there. Panned left I think I hear a Moog, which is funky. The wah guitar is a great compliment to your acoustic chops. Nice chord structure on the fretboard. Throw a bridge in there for interest and to break things up ands I think you have something very solid ! Cheers and great job ! - Bilbozo
Very cool tribute a pretty Agent. This diehard cinema stuff. I could see this is a scene in one of the movies. Very cool bro ! I really dig the elements. - Bilbozo
There is something about the vox that captivates me. I have always heard rap vocals up, upbrupt, agressive and out front. This vocal, relaxes me, soothes the soul...man I know that is the intention, but you did a great job...it set a mood I can't explain. Marvelous work. - Bilbozo
glad you were feeling this one. i think the flow of our rap is melodic in nature, and the mix job helped. I bumped vox on final version, but i think they still set just as well. really thankful you reviewed, it was reassuring
I've to be honest here, I never thought you'd be the sort to nod to hip hop. I dunno why, but damnit am I surprised. Thanks alot Bil, you made my day.
Especially because you appreciate the simplicity. I was aiming for that, and seeing that it's appreciated is heart warming. You're a star m'man. Thank you.
Very nice chops indeed. I love the modes you change in between chords. I am a sucker for dual lead guitar lines... Fun and superb job. Ends a bit abruptly...I wish I could hear more ! Cheers and good job - Bilbozo
My biggest influence is probably Dream Theater. They tend to use great variation in modes in their music. I plan on finishing this one once I get a new computer. My old one crashed and I lost a large amount of work. I learned a lesson in the importance of regularly backing up my recording sessions. Anyway, thanks for checking out my song. I am now off to return the favor.
I just got a new set of High Quality Studio Headphones and this really sounded fantastic. I think you are off to a great start. Definately keep building on the progression and groove. It's pretty infectious and contagious...it gave me the bug and I was hooked ! - Bilbozo
Oh yeah this sounds sweet. I think you should get a temtpting sudectress to hit this with some smoky vocals. That progression really pulls you in. I could close my eyes get lost in this for a while ! Thanks - Bill ( Bilbozo )
Thanks Bill. As a matter of fact, a singer in Atlanta contacted me about doing vocals on this. Need to make some tweaks to it of course. I'll repost if we ever get it worked out.
Cool groove. Love the way you put out the loops. Good Chicago style blues any session guitarist like myself would like to bite into and let loose on. Great job. - Bilbozo
Todd !!! I just got your message and I had to come here and hear your latest work. Good to see you buddy...it's been a coon's age. Sorry for the rough time you have had over the year. Looking forward to creating brighter days with a collab with you. ! Mna the good ole Looper days are returning. Barry morgan just joined back in too. All is well in the universe for me right now. I'll get you a copy of the Bo Diddly Tribute Collab we did a while back. That was a lot of fun. Cheers bro and talk to you soon ! - Bill ( Bilbozo )
Wow what a cool collab guys. Pure emotion and feel to this one for sure. Allen I love those guitar phrasings...indeed I heard some Hendrix, but I also heard some early Eddie Van Halen chords in there..and essence of Jeff Beck. The vocals of Tecatta and your voice on guitar were a superb meld of heart & soul. A true classic fellas ! - Bilbozo
Hey Bill, thanks for having a listen!yea,I've kinda' stopped fighting against those influences and am just having fun and playing what I feel fits...at the very least it doesn't sound forced that way.
Oh,did Joseph survive his birthday bash:)
Thanks again Bill,I appreciate your comments.
Heya Mark. Thanks for writing some lyrics and vocals to the song. Very nice melodic vocals going on. I love the raspiness in your voice. Myself I sound like a smurf with a cold when I sing..so this really means a lot. Has some Nirvana feel to it which I really love. Sounds rocking bro, Thanks so much! - Bilbozo !
Hey Peres. That was a cool ride. I love the classics and this totally rocks. I love how you have parts echo arrepegiated. Give's it such a spacy feeling. Superb job. - Bilbozo
Great use of a multitude sounds....gets really groovin when the funk progression kicks in. Very cool track indeed...a smorgasbord of funky morsels. - Bilbozo
THanks for replying. Yes, indeed, beginning by some sounds, it's like a car in a curve, after having changed its direction, it take the one of the funk and jazzy way.
I'm always playing like that.
Wow now this is pretty cool...trance synth mixed with metal. Mixing genres really creates some exciting stuff. Loive your chops and that dirty tone. Very cool song...very impulsive overtones...creates a mood of desperation. Lots of dynamics bringing the song uip and down. Very well done - Bilbozo
I think I left a review of this song on Spelljammers page, but I just wanted to let you know you rocked this one Allen. Superb collab for the both of you. Always diggin your chops.- Bilbozo
Thank you Bil.As a guitarist yourself you know that is one of the good things that comes from playing covers for so long..you kinda get the feel for a lot of different styles..like it or not. Every Sunday after the Casey Kasem countdown someone would hand me a tape and say"Here Al,learn em by wednesday" lol,but I do like this style.
Allen
Oh yeah man. This is sweet. Love the groove...and the offbeat hits which work really nice. Very well thought out arrangement...just 4 chords can go a long way if you know how to dress it right and you did. Cheers - Bilbozo
Wow...this is a fantastic piece. It envokes all sorts of emotions and peaks and valleys of excitment. Fantastic vocals and instrumentation. Great mix...I thought it was going to be outlandishly heavy but it's well articulated and orchestrated without going over the top. Beauty ! - Bilbozo
Great track Deepman...SLapas tyouch really adds to the emotion of the song. Great instrumentation and arrangement for a different take on the original. Awesome collab
Drive alonmg like a fast freight train. The sound is impulsive, cinematical, soundtrack feel. I love how you haven't overdone the guitar. Just enough to compliment the track and accompany the piano. It takes a keen ear to pull that off in spades...indeed you guys did. Great collab. - Bilbozo
Hey Bil.I got lucky here,9Rihter had this eq sound that matched up pretty well to my guitar. He had everything but guitar mixed and finished, just wanted to try guitars so that was the challenge. He sent me the mp3 and I had to layer around what he had done and couldn't mess with his individual levels so in a way it forced me to play it safe so I learned from this song and try to take that with me.one review wanted louder guitar but when I tried it just covered the piano and would ruin it,so big lesson learned...Don't sacrifice the song for guitars because in the end it's all about the song,
and I know you know this as you choose to complement your own songs as well...if we didn't we could just do a 4min solo...hmm..
maybe a loop of Eruption:)
thanks bil
Allen
Is this recorded direct or recorded via mic? Love the mood it onsets. Very crisp and clear tonal ambience. Love that fingerstyle...nothing beats a pair of hands that can do that ! Respect ! - Bilbozo
Glad you asked Bil,check out the tascam dp-oo8,it can run on 4aa bat. and ac,8 digtr. It has 2 built in mics...and this thing is little..utube has videos of it.I can't stand the electronics in this Washburn I have so I thought I would give the little mics a try and the reviews on this thing were right on for it's size and portability..I actualy do everything on it cause it will almost fit in your guitar case and uses sd cards.I don't have a laptop so I have to share puter time with the wife, and thats no way to make music waiting for her to stop chatting and playing on farmville or whatever lol...I love her but a mans gotta do...
The style came out of lazyness I guess..it's gpick and fingers. When I played out and we did an acoustic song I didn't switch guitars, just the way I approached the electric..but I have seen others play that way and I do that now on acoustic as well, there's just things you can't do tho.
thanks for listening Bil.
