on Its Going Great by conor8
really dig this.
great synth work. it is very mood enducing, so i agree it would be right at home in the cinematic category, as well. its ripe for a vocalist as well, tho...solid piece.
nice work!

on From Both Sides by conor8
really nice juxtoposition of hard and soft elements on this track. love the keys melody with the pads. very relaxing. and youre right...the strings rising out of the ether was an unexcpected treat. i would only suggest having them come in just a tad sooner to uphold the cohesiveness of the track. heck you could even bring the keys back fo rthe last 4 bars to bring the whote track round full circle. either way..its a delightful piece.
great work!

on 2nd version Is This Dubstep by Djabel
ive noticed that some people on looperman can be a bit [what i hope is unintentionally] CeeUNextTuesdayYeah: especially hard on those just starting out in what they consider their genre of expertise, for lack of a better term. there are many different types/variations of dubstep; it is a quickly expanding genre. i heard the first version of this track, and i think you are progressing leaps and bounds. not all dubstep synth has to be groundbreaking. if thie levels are tight and the arrangement is solid, i dont see whats wong with a more simple synth. but again, ALL comments received are opinions based on personal preference.
keep it up. youve got the skills...

Wicked, thanks for those words of encouragement, it's nice to hear impartial advice and views as well as criticism. But i'm happy with either as it means people are taking the time to listen to my stuff :^) Safe, Abel

i adore this.
the synth work. the changeup. the melody. the subtle sfx peppered thruout. the simple, yet oh so perfect beat.
lovely.
kudos!

on Let you know - Furious D mix by DFury
i think this is a killer arrangement. great use of the vox, and i dont think the synth slowing down is that much of a problem. in fact, if you put a very subtle delay on it, it would trick the listener into thinking it was the delay that was causing teh slight lag in tempo. really enjoyed this piece.
well done!

on New hip hop beat by Chuwi
yep. this works. fantastic synth work. really showing a great deal of skill and control, especially with your high sliding synth melody. nice drums accompanied by a solid bassline that is present but not overpowering. really dig the break and nice percuss accents thru out, as well. great arrangement and production value. overall...hot track.
well done!

on My Love House Mix Feat Gizella and Epise by Jpipes24
i like what youve got so far. great use of the vox. i like the melody...wonderful keys elements. i think we're missing a bass line in the beginning. the switch up around 2min was delightfully unexpected. it feels more polished...more cohesive than the first 2 mins. but again, i think that might be something as simple as the lack of bass presence, *(your placement fo the [everything i do] vox is bordering on off beat. making it come in just a tad later would put it on beat, but you might have ebeen going for that slightly off beat vibe).
i think this is definitely worth working on. really enjoyed what youve got so far.
great work!

on Dance to da violence by dMaybeatz
great use of movie clips. love the light keys, juxtoposed with the deep bassline. the drums are a perfect accompaniment to the melody. i think you can cut the piano out and let the bassline ride with just the drums and some sfx for a solid break. either way. i like this.
nice work!
dMaybeatz
dMaybeatz replied Unknown
hey thanks alot! i did what you suggested and dropped the piano for around 4 bars to just let the beat and the bass go with some of the effects still in there.

lvoe the fusion of this piece. very emotional, so it would be just as apt in the cinematic genre. your guitar sounds wicked. high production value...love the sfx thru out. really heavy piece.

on RMC - Ima Rep Hawaii by iRMC
youre reppin large with this track, brah. HI should be proud. the beat, the spit, the hook...all sublime. for those that say the rap could be tighter, tell that to soulja boy. your spit is just as good, if not better than anything hes had on the top 40.
this is radio ready.

mad kudos!

on Horn Beat by CandNBEATS
this hits HARD.
your synth work is supurb. and that drop is dirty. love your sfx peppered thru out the piece. this simplicity at its best. it doesnt need more because its badass the way it is; anything else would just muddy up the waters. love that break with the tribal-esque drums and plucked string as well. production value is on point.
job well done!

on IN THE HOOD by Strullu
im a piano girl, so i of course dug the keys on this. really like the simplicity of this piece. add too much to it, and the piano element would most likely get lost. the strings are nice, as well. i would love to hear some harmony from them too...not just the accompanying melody, just to add some depth to the piece. but i dig it just the way it is, too ;).
nice work!

on Fingers inc - My House (Dubstep) by toxxicity
i wike.
i wikey a wot.
lol
the wobbles are sick on this. great cutting and placement of the vox. this piece is unsettling...in an oddly soothing? way. i know thats totally contradictory, but thats how "weird" pieces are sometimes.
my only criticism is i wish it was longer.
[oh, and i could always use more bass, as well, but we all know im a bass whore]
really nice work!

yeah..these wobbles are supurb. showing a lot of control on this track. i, too, loved the well placed sfx and tonal accents thru out.
im just over here, grindin' and bouncin' in my seat. i cant think of a better indicator that this track is IT.
kudos!

on Spinning by PaNeGyRiZe
ugh..this track is beautifully sad. your melody is heart-wrenching. why do i see this scene of a guy begging a girl to let him back in the house, and theyre both struggling at the door; one trying to shut it, the other trying to push it open. the piano work is sublime...masterfully juxtoposed with the accompanying synth harmony. very emotional piece.
well done!
PaNeGyRiZe
PaNeGyRiZe replied Unknown
yea this was my favorite beat as well as my 5th beat i ever did, over a year or so ive lost the good quality version as well as the studio file too, it has a staticy high amp noice in some parts that shouldnt be there, but i still like it too :D my other rnb beat on here is good too, im trying tom ake more slow jams cuz i have better rythme than i do rap

on Block Party Beat by PaNeGyRiZe
the drop is so smooth on this..the listener really has no idea what the beat pattern will be by the side stick...but the kick comes in and lays the fundation for a head noddin beat. i think you could have so much more fun with this piece. its simple, yet naughty the way it is...but i would love to hear you add some more elements. perhaps some bass tones to follow the synth, or a higher synth with an accompanying harmony to give it some dimention and allow for some change ups. nothing too crazy tho, cause i really like the chill vibe of this track. either way...
nice work!
PaNeGyRiZe
PaNeGyRiZe replied Unknown
thanks ! :D yeah i want to go back and add alot of things to some of my beats but a thief stole my laptop along with my backup hard drive that had all the studio files of the beats on it :( i could just add them the hard way using the mp3 file but just wouldnt be the same :/
