nice use of an old favorite. the nutcracker suite is one of my favorites....dig the wobble you paired with it. nice industrial sounding drums to accompany, as well.
...this is sounding really hot [distorted] to me. dont know if that was intentional. i would filter the hotness down just a bit.
otehr than that, really neat piece.
nice work!
this has such a fun retro sound, while still exuding a "now" vibe, as well. loved your use of percuss changeups...really kept the track exciting. and i agree with Frenchy; the synth work is beddy, beddy good!
great work!
this is very similar to how i would compose a crunk track...if i could compose a crunk track lol.
love the drums. the breaks and vox accents are are nicely placed. great use of the synth loop. love the switch at the end, leading back into the main melody. very naughty.
great work!
i think the uncertaintly IWE feels about the pella might be because it and the instrumental melody are in conflicting keys. i think the placement and treatment of the pella are great. i also think this piece would be just as solid as an instrumental. very creative track!
yeah...i have to agree with Frenchy...you are givin me unbelievable amounts of inspirado with your work. i wish you werent so far away!! luckily, the great internet gives artists like you and me the opportunity to work together across the seas. i really want to play with your pellas.
your piano composition is outstanding. really dig your work. keep 'em coming...i ll be listening...
kudos and cheers for the inspirado!
lovely.
i really want someone [might be me] to put a harder hitting dance beat behind this. i think youve got a hit. the piano is beautiful..and the bell accents are such a sweet addition.
and yes...you have a perfect voice for auto tune.
kudos on a stellar track!
i agree with rei. you show a great amount of vocal skill and potential in this track. i would have fun playing with the treatment of the vocals, effects wise.
i also agree with the intro not being...right for this piece. it doesnt seem to fit with the beauty of the piano and synth accents. love when the drums finally kick in. i think a slower paced drum pattern could come in a bit sooner, just to keep the listener involved in the piece from start to finish. really creative stuff...really enjoyed it.
nice work!
this spit is some of the slickest ish ive heard on looperman. really professional cadence. dig the beat that accompaning elements, as well.
great work!
:: i am always up for a collab with talented artists. i will email you and we'll set something up :) ::
Thank u, OD. I listen to your music and it IS mixed as if its electronic but has a very good Hip Hop feel. I was thinking maybe we could collab and i could have you enhance or create a track for me... I let you know the details. If your interested, e-me @ bmgrafx@gmail.com.
I've been rapping longer than most of these rappers been listening. So I TRY to be as articulate, clear, understanding, sensible as possible. I like to write my raps as though they are letters. I use slang as I write, exactly how I'm gonna say it, and punctuations. Im not gonna talk your ear off, but I wanna be known for style & content. A line i wrote that sums up how i feel is... "since errbody wanna freestyle, u gotta pick me/ as the most prolific writer since 2Pac & Biggie" Ty, critique' more as I post please!!
wow..i lost myself in this one. about 45 seconds after it ended, still drunk from its vibe, i suddenly came to and thought, "...i need another shot of that".
amazingly skillful cutting and treatment of these samples. you have created such a beautifully chillaxed atmosphere with this piece. this is the kind of music i always want playing when people enter my home...something that sets a sophisticated, yet relaxed ambience. really wonderful work...
kudos!
that vox(?) on the end of your wobble pattern is quite creative. i only wish this track had more girth.. its not bumpin quite as loud as i think it could. dig the bell accent thru out. cool track!
good job!
definitely think you have it in the right genre, despite its electro vibe. really dig your synth work on this. teh electronic, spacey accents thru out the piece are all very well treated and placed. really fun track.
nice work!
great sitar melody accompanied by some solid drums. dig your synth work as well. perhaps some variation in the drum pattern just to spice and break the track up a bit, but other than that, i really enjoyed this piece.
good job!
what a fun lead in and drop...
that wind melody is so deliciously quirky. your string work is so very beautiful on this. great changeups thru out, as well. creative mix of genres...
really nice work!
you bestowed a new fire...and increased power to the Mojah piece. this is captivating. of course your drum pattern and accents are stellar, very creative. but the sparse use of the wobble made this so very cinematic. really dug this.
nice work!
get your pella loops up immediately! people are going to fall in love with your vocal talent...me included. would love to collab. this is such a sweet piece. the sad lyrics juxtaposed with that light and fresh piano melody is just a delight. i think you can bump up the presence of your voice on this...let it take center stage.
really enjoyed this track. i look very forward to hearing more of your work.
kudos!
really nice composition. love the drums and your synth work is top notch. would love to hear someone spit on this. great piano accents and creative changeups thru out.
great job!
i love this.
that "yum" accent is delicious [no pun intended]. i adore the lyrics. this track would be just as solid as an industrial instrumental. the juxtoposition of the lyrics and the beat is beyond creative. it makes me want to slap someone in the face...with a plate of piping hot, fully loaded Belgains. the synth work is divine. production value is top notch.
...i need to go get breakfast.
kudos!
gotta love those early dawn tracks...
master yogis say when we are awake during the pre-dawn hours, we are exposed to a special energy known as vata. when vata energy is balanced, there is increased creativity, [i didnt put too much thought into this concept until i went back and tracked how many of my most creative songs were written in the wee hours of the morning...and found it was most of them lol].
i think this track is further proof of the concept. its simply magical. skillful cutting and placement of the vox. gorgeous harp melody. impressive production value. a track that envelopes the listener...i got lost in it and felt disappointment when it was over.
mad kudos on a wicked track. cheers for the inspriado!
::lol i didnt mean to go all spiritual on ya...but once you start reading about stuff like this, it so often starts to make sense, especially for us intrinsically creative types. i mean, i dont think its a coincidence that so many of us write some of our best stuff between 2 and 5am lol. i suppose *ahem* drugs and alcohol might have something to do with it for some of us...*ahem* maybe...but i rather like thinking vata is more to blame ;) ::
wooooooow, that is really amazing. vata energy, im am so curious now. i have to go research this... thank you so much. what a great review. really enjoyed reading this...
i played around with this pella as well. i like the dark place you took it.
i also know how hard it is to get the mix balanced with this particular pella, which is quite soft a bit washed out.
nice work!
Thank you, Oasis. When I imported this particular pella into Audacity, I found the signal level to be at around -18db, so I normalized it to 0.0db, ran it through a noise filter, and EQ'd it a bit before exporting the WAV into FL. I still have a devil of a time mixing down vocals though....
love the juxtoposition of the piano and the synth. solid spit on top, but this beat stands on its own as an instrumental. nice chorus, as well. beautifully composed track. makes me want to hear more from you...
really nice work!
sublime piano work.
love the pluck work and sitar(?) accent. that C-F hammer chord gives so much emotion to this piece. solid production value, as well.
that pensive C# break is wicked. i think it can come in before the 4min mark, just to break the piece up a bit more. either way, excellent composition on this piece. i look forward to hearing more of your work.
good job!
the freeform, effortless nature of your synth work is something i dont know if i will ever achieve, no matter how hard i try.
im gonna send you some stuff i want to work on with you.
its time to get this party started.
nice bouncy track. love your synth work. i dont mind the repetitive vibe of this track as much as the previous reviewers, probably because i enjoy scoring for film and television [especially commercials], and scores often lack versitility out of necessity. i care far more about the composition skill and production value exhibited in a track, both of which are top notch on this.
nice work!
